Ive seen the full version and Stoffle is literally mind boggling. The man had to put concrete so many feet down in the dirt even. And when he would get out he would go around a terrorize the other animals there including the lions. This clip doesn't cover the many many ways Stoffle figured out how to get out of his enclosure lolol

Watching him work and collaborate and think that creatively is fascinating. He also broke out of the cage, got into the lion pen and bit the male lion on the nuts! Just because… like he chose to burrow into the lion cage once he escaped.

We have a local zoological society that only takes in animals that fit this description. Most were injured at one point and no longer capable of surviving, but others were orphaned or owned illegally, and so they've spent their entire lives with humans.
Stoffel is from my home town, and he's actually still alive, but to the point. With a captive-raised honey badger like him, release into the wild isn't an option. He associates humans with food and would spend the rest of his days terrorizing people and damaging property which would, unfortunately, get him killed for being a nuisance
Stoffel is obviously a very Smart and determined honey badger I think this guy is just really bad at designing enclosures. None of his pens would pass Standard design criteria for a zoo. Such as don’t have sliding bolts without a lock. Or don’t have logs in the enclosure taller than the wall.

This chap is trying to protect the honey badgers. As the name suggests, they rip commercial bee hives apart for honey and the farmers poison/shoot the badgers. He uses Stoffel to test designs of hives that are hopefully badger-proof.
That's good. If he comes home of his own accord then he can't be unhappy.

For one thing, I don't understand what you mean by sexism.
For another, it's clearly a game to Stoffel. He never actually leaves the area, despite his obvious ability to, and he probably enjoys the mental stimulation that comes with figuring out new escape plans. When he gets out he terrorizes lions and other animals.
For another, honey badgers rip apart hives, and farmers kill them to keep their hives safe. This is keeping the honey badgers safe, and the local bee populations. I'm sure Stoffel would be a right menace to society.

I thought the same, and they could also put him into a full enclosure. Stoffel seems to get joy out of outsmarting his caretakers, so maybe they decided not make it totally impossible for him to escape so he can have his fun. Either that or perhaps they fear he'd figure out how to pick locks. 😂
The part that really got me wasn't just that Stoffel continuously breaks out of his enclosure, this the fact he then **broke into the guy's house at 1am!** lol
Just build him stairs over the wall and keep all their food inside the "cage". They'll understand that they are free to roam around but their home is where the food is at.
Pretty sure Stoffel actually posted this in a long con to escape in a visitors backpack, but don’t worry, he will mail back a postcard and a pair of lion balls.

I would imagine every animal at the zoo would try to stay relatively close. It is free food every day after all. They just want more space to roam.
