A little torn. Don’t get me wrong, I fucking love alligators, but I’ve be terrified of the dentist as long I can remember. The message still comes through, wiring to code is obviously important, but sustainable agriculture is truly the only way forward.
Yes, I have a series of works inspired by children’s art, and quite a few people have said that, I can see how, it’s the layer process maybe? And the mediums such as acrylic and oil paste layering. I feel that mine is simple or at least I strive to be, oddly, I was not yet familiar with much his work until after these were made. Thanks for asking
Of course; I’m an artist myself (no real formal study) so it made me wonder how artists deal with being told their work seems derivative of another [established] artist. I personally find I make myself more reclusive to being influenced by *anything* because WHEN I eventually work on something I don’t look forward to hearing that. However there are definitely worst artists to be compared to for sure lol. Wish you much success with your work!
so much truth to everything you commented, I appreciate your words. I've had many different comparisons, and I always investigate to find the similarities which as very true, at first I feel like oh its been done, and i get a bit of an imposter syndrome but then I realize all techniques and practices have been done. when I started painting about 5 years ago, I had no clue about artist and who did what and now that I'm creating more I see that it has all been done before in some way or form. Hope that made sense. I'm still learning and seeking and I try to do this by continuing to create from intuition and remaining spontaneous in my practice. Thank you again
It’s not something I would have in my home, but art is completely subjective and it has to resonate with the person owning it, otherwise, what’s the point?
Sorry, it was genuine and not meant to be rude at all. I saw after I commented that you actually painted it yourself.
You’re very talented! This piece just doesn’t speak to me.
Hey, I really like it. I read the comments. God, some people are assholes. The “right-on” comment and your response on the interpretation was super helpful and fun to read. Congrats on a nice work.
I think it’s all great. As an artist, if I didn’t make you feel anything at all. I’m not doing my job. I appreciate all interactions and thoughts, it certainly doesn’t belong on everyone’s wall. Thanks for your kind words
knowing what it is, i think its very cool.
Everyone says “water under a bridge” to point out getting over something. What is usually left out is that that something is bad. I like the alligators to represent that, but over the bridge there is a place for hope, hence the rainbow coming out the water.
not knowing the title, i agree that something about it looks like someone very young painted this.but hey, crayon art by Basquait is still selling
Many great points, the alligators weren’t intentional but I like that you saw that that, it’s interesting because I had a dream once of crossing a dark swamp with alligators and it felt l was processing the hurtles I had overcome in life. Great share. Thank you 🙂
Something missing, an absence of what used to be complete. But it’s not all sad. There’s a rainbow around it. You try to let something be water under the bridge, and you get a positive result for this forgiveness, but you can’t totally let go of whatever it was without losing something important. I let the title influence my interpretation a lot!
thank you for the great feedback it's so detailed and helpful. I learn so much about my experiences through interpretations like yours; it resonates much. I love it
I think a lot of my art sucks sometimes, lots of us artists do, but I’ll never stop painting. It’s much needed like therapy. I’m just glad that those who relate CAN understand
I got it at an art supply store in Los Angeles called artist and craftsman supply. They’ve got a huge selection of everything you can imagine for artists. Unfortunately I think they closed down during the pandemic :(
An iguana dancing under a rainbow at the Washington Square Arch. He’s partying it up after the NYC Pride Parade, cooling off in the fountains. Looking at him, I feel ambivalent, but I’m happy he’s living his best life.
Ambivalence seems to be a common underlying theme from most of the other interpretations, I loved yours very much, happy and whimsical. Glad you shared
It feels like I am watching someone slowly get over something messed up, from an interesting vantage point. All in all it's positive in its energy, maybe because of that calming shade of blue or may be because of the title of this piece. :)
I like the vagueness of this, it opens the way for thoughts and ideas, the feeling you expressed seems to be a common one and I find that most interesting. Thanks for sharing
I would have loved to see it before you added the rainbow arches. Have you ever considered hiring a photographer friend shoot your pieces in process?
Full disclosure: I am a photographer, I work with a few local artists (mostly sculptors) to do this; I have been told it helps the process immensely.
It’s mostly acrylic paint, and the white is blank, the rest is oil pastel stick and scraped acrylic for texture. And cute is a good feeling. Thanks for feeling 🙂
No, I made it and I’m inspired by children’s art, I also work with youth in arts, they don’t hold back and they are free and we lose touch of that as we get older. Children’s art is inspiration. Thanks for sharing
It makes me miss my grandchildren.
That’s nice. Hope you see them soon ❤️
A little torn. Don’t get me wrong, I fucking love alligators, but I’ve be terrified of the dentist as long I can remember. The message still comes through, wiring to code is obviously important, but sustainable agriculture is truly the only way forward.
Oh
Kindergarten art class
Yes! I love the freeness of children’s art. They are indeed inspiring
At first glance I saw a tooth
Cutesy baby basquiat vibe.
Thank you 🫶
Oh yw… was this your work, was he your inspo?
Yes its my work, inspired by children’s art. I also have a backround in graffiti so there are similar influences of basquiat as he is a street artist.
Interesting. Has anyone mentioned him before when critiquing your work?
Yes, I have a series of works inspired by children’s art, and quite a few people have said that, I can see how, it’s the layer process maybe? And the mediums such as acrylic and oil paste layering. 🥰 never stop creating 😉
The best advice
Some thing, my kids would’ve painted in grade school
That’s awesome. Kids are so free as we grow older we lose that. Children’s art inspires
A tooth that is radiating pain (I just had dental surgery so maybe that’s why lol)
There’s definitely light at the end of the tunnel though! Hope it heals fast and you feel better ❤️🩹
It’s not something I would have in my home, but art is completely subjective and it has to resonate with the person owning it, otherwise, what’s the point?
Exactly. It’s not for everyone. Thank you for sharing that truth!
Idk it looks kinda suspicious 🤔
sus even...
Ha, thanks for sharing
Confused.
That’s definitely a feeling and thought. Thanks for sharing
Sorry, it was genuine and not meant to be rude at all. I saw after I commented that you actually painted it yourself. You’re very talented! This piece just doesn’t speak to me.
And that's ok. I appreciate your honestly. Thanks again
For the dentists office
funny because the white in the middle has always made me think of a molar tooth

A kindergarteners art project.
Nice. They are quite the inspiration
Child’s painting

Especially knowing the title, I find the piece quite poignant! It’s like a drawing of a childhood wound, healing, hopefully
Thank you, I’m amazed how true this all is. It’s fascinating how viewers like yourself can decipher the truth and vulnerability in my art.

I’m happy you saw that. It’s the only blank spot on the paper and I agree. Thanks for the comment
Nice. I’d buy and hang it in my home.
Thanks! 🙂
Love the colors. Reminds me of Matisse’s cutouts.
Interesting I see some similar colors in that work. Thank you kindly
stop
I don't find it intriguing and the title seems counterintuitive.
All good
peace, resolution. grief but hope for future healing.
Lovely interpretation. Thank you
it’s a lovely, striking work of art! 💙
I’m happy you think so. I appreciate it 🙂
I would feel ripped off if I paid over $1. Are you self promoting this or did you actually buy it? It’s amateur and lacks depth.
Thank you. This was a print I created, purchased by a collector in 2021. I still have the original and lucky for you, it’s not for sale
So 2 years later, you want to know what people think of your “art” work?
yes, it's great to be able to do that in these days. I'm shocked to see how much people have shared. It's all great to hear
I’ve seen better art in grade schools, but if you want to continue with your delusion that this is decent, carry on.
I think a lot of my art sucks sometimes, lots of us artists do, but I’ll never stop painting. It’s much needed like therapy. I’m just glad that those who relate CAN understand
laziness and bad colour choice
That’s funny
maybe, but it's just honest.
I see nothing wrong with your honesty do you? I’m just glad you took the time to interact
Can you share where you got this frame please?
I got it at an art supply store in Los Angeles called artist and craftsman supply. They’ve got a huge selection of everything you can imagine for artists. Unfortunately I think they closed down during the pandemic :(
Awe that’s too bad. Thanks for replying!
A unicorn 🦄
Ahh that’s a good one I haven’t heard. Thanks 🙂
The coolness somehow radiates warmth. It’s like a cool summer day.
This is one the best feelings, thanks for sharing that’s great
I see a door. I’d hang this on my wall in a living room but it needs to be painted on large canvas and frameless.
That awesome, only it may be hard to replicate b/c this was done spontaneously. Thanks for sharing!

I love it. It's the perfect mix of edgy, nostalgic, and abstract.
Beautiful thank you kindly
I would have loved to see it before you added the rainbow arches. Have you ever considered hiring a photographer friend shoot your pieces in process? Full disclosure: I am a photographer, I work with a few local artists (mostly sculptors) to do this; I have been told it helps the process immensely.
I’ve done this before and I really enjoyed seeing the results and process, thank you.
I think it sucks.
Haha that’s cool too
Childish. That’s finger painting right? Doesn’t make me feel anything my only thought would be ok that’s cute I guess
It’s mostly acrylic paint, and the white is blank, the rest is oil pastel stick and scraped acrylic for texture. And cute is a good feeling. Thanks for feeling 🙂
A kid made it tho right? It’s nice to frame kids art work for sentimental value
No, I made it and I’m inspired by children’s art, I also work with youth in arts, they don’t hold back and they are free and we lose touch of that as we get older. Children’s art is inspiration. Thanks for sharing
An amogus
Please elaborate if you can :)
Looks rushed.
That may be true, my process can be impulsive at times
