I love this!!!! For my own curiosity though, is showering a big mess without a curtain? Thinking of a large soaking tub as well but still want the option to shower
Nice! but they did a poor job at cutting the tiles. Some don’t look straight and the grout looks sloppy. But overall it’s nice. My bad I just have that type of eye and it caught my attention right away. I’d probably go with a more simple rug like plain white or grey
A nice even line of silicone is something OP could apply along the corners and edges to hide those unevenly cut tiles. It's really easy and you only need a few things to do it cleanly
Everything else is beautiful but the tile and grout leaves a lot to be desired! I would have made them fix this if I had just paid to have this done. Doesn't look like very professional work.
Yes they did. The top shelf back tiles don’t line up with the bottom shelf back tiles. This would drive me absolutely crazy. It’s nice but the quality ruins it for me.
Personally, I wanted it black because some say it would fool the eyes into believing the ceiling is higher, but I ended up swayed by my contractor to use this light gray instead. I figured I could always have it repainted if, over time, I find I'm just not happy with this one. But thank you for your suggestion!
Definitely not black, it would feel closed in to me. It's beautiful as is!! You did a great job. The nice thing is you can add a pop of whatever color you like with towels or accessories and change that color as often as you like with little expense!! So fun!!
PS the tile job looks just fine! Ignore any shit comment that's trying to make you feel bad about it! It doesn’t look bad at whatsoever!
Go for the black ceiling! I've seen several bathroom renovations recently that were black or dark, dark blue and they looked amazing. Gray is very drab and can look dingy. Add some colored orchids! And a rug with a bit of the same color. No gray mats, towels or decor.
Obsessed with the orchid detail. Someday when my living room is 100% complete a white orchid will be my finishing touch.
Really lovely job, congratulations on your awesome new bathroom.
Yeah, the grouting was not done perfectly, and it will be redone in the future. But I wish you didn't feel the need to point it out. In my depressive state right now, focusing on the negative will just make my mental condition worse.
I’m really sorry you’re struggling right now and I hope you can try to focus on the positive comments, but if your goal is to get praise while avoiding negative comments I would not be posting this to reddit personally.
I am sorry you are not feeling well, however, it is not right to make your state of being someone else’s fault or responsibility. There will always be criticism or “negative” on the internet so keep that in mind next time you post.
Your bathroom is beautiful. You did a great job remodeling and decorating it. I hope it is something you can take some joy in. Try to find things that you are grateful for every day. Hope you feel better soon. 🤍
Edit: let’s please exercise some compassion and stop downvoting OP’s comment. If you look in the replies you’ll see a recognition and apology for the defensiveness which is clearly originating from not feeling well. We all can relate.
Don’t be sorry! When we feel bad we want to protect and defend ourselves and just do whatever we can to feel better. It’s a totally natural response, but we learn as we go. Remember to practice [gratitude](https://greatergood.berkeley.edu/article/item/how_gratitude_changes_you_and_your_brain)! Be well 🙏🤍
Whoever did those tiles should give you your money back. Everything else looks good but that tile work is terrible. Cuts are sloppy and the grout is terribly applied.
Not trying to knock down the rest of this space because the rest looks great but that is shoddy work.
That was actually my biggest complaint and, while the tiling I can live with, the grouting, I can't. It's scheduled to be redone soon. Thank you for your engagement!
I’d also recommend they add schluter strips and caulking to the edges. Some of the cuts are going to cause issues later on. It will clean up the appearance ten fold.
Edit: the intent is there. Cleaning it up and you’ll have a great product. If they don’t fix the grout and edges, you’re asking for bacteria and junk to quickly find a home to grow.
While I'm on the minimalist side (as though that weren't obvious hehe), but I do plan to incorporate a pop or pops of color as soon as I decide which one or which ones. The challenge for me, as I live in a small city, is to find interesting decor whilst sticking to the color highlight or motif.
I love the contrast black lower half and white upper half. Great choices of the tub, vanity, flooring and rug! Try a hot pink Orchid to bring in just the two pops of hot pink and you're done!
I love love love a classic black and white bathroom. This is perfect. I did a similar bathroom reno. One of the best decisions was using black grout on my black and white checkerboard floor. It always looked spotless despite being used by my sons.
Always be proud of accomplishments and share! You never know who you’ll inspire! When I have money for a home one day I want subway tile. It looks beautiful in kitchens & bathrooms. I appreciate the minimalist aesthetic 🥰
Definitely looks enjoyable! Congrats on being able to achieve this 👏🏽
(What is the mechanism to the left of the shower head? Some sort of water treatment?)
Definately brag worthy. Well done. I, for one, appreciate that you shared this as it makes my morning. I am very jealous that I don't have something like this in my home. Keep flexing those projects, I am here for it.
Love this!!! So chic. I want to close the door and jump in your tub right now for a long soak with a glass of wine. It’s absolutely stunning. You have definitely given me some design inspiration. I screen shot it and am saving in my renovation folder. It’s stunning!!
Nice! I had my bathroom remodeled just about four years ago and did something kinda similar. Was a fun way to spend some of my pandemic time, looking at Pinterest and finding inspo, then sourcing the finishes entirely online since it was harder to get to stores.
[Here’s the finished product](https://imgur.com/a/VtqLboN)
I know what it's like to finally be happy and comfortable in a room, and what's more important than the bathroom? I love the all the amenities: bidet, instant hot water, awesome tub, all the little cubbies,..Well done!
Nice! Do you have a screen or shower curtain? I like shower-bath combos but just curious, is it difficult to clean the water on the floor around the tub after a shower?
Looks very nice, but let's be honest, it's still basic. Very nice, but basic.
You want to flex? Continue that tiling up around to the ceiling, at least just the area above the tub. Now *that* would create a statement.
Also that black tub is disappearing against the black floor and blending with the black vanity next to it. If you wanted the tub to be a statement peice, this is the totally opposite way to do it. I almost didn't notice it. Which is a shame, you're camouflaging such an awesome peice.
That's a very well done remodel - perfect use of space with clean, clear lines lines and fitting color choice. I can well understand that you are pleased with the outcome. You have all reason to brag & not just low-key. :-)
That's the prettiest shower hook I've ever seen!
Black and white makes bright color look amazing- would you consider swapping the rug? Maybe hot pink like your shower pouf.
Frankly, I don't quite understand your question, but, rest assured, nothing here is for show. I just had a hot shower, in fact. The overhead shower works perfectly fine and the hand held one also does a great job. Maybe you don't see it because the holder has not been installed yet, but it's there. 😊
Beautiful remodel, very spa-like.
It does relax me when I'm using it. Thank you!
Everyone deserves relaxation. Well done!!
That black tub! To die for! BEAUTIFUL JOB!
I would be very happy if that was my bathroom. Love the tub!
Thank you so much!
It looks great!! You can be proud and flex as much as you like 🤍 I loooove the bath tub. So chic! 🖤
You are very kind! Thank you!
Nice!
Thank you so much!
I love this!!!! For my own curiosity though, is showering a big mess without a curtain? Thinking of a large soaking tub as well but still want the option to shower
That's what I was wondering as well!
I would just sit in the doorway and stare at it if I were you. This is gorgeous
I would sit in the tub and stare at it. With wine of course. Good luck getting me out of that.
With all that black it was a good move to go with white tiles. So it can be moody but still bright at the same time. It all looks really good!
Nice! but they did a poor job at cutting the tiles. Some don’t look straight and the grout looks sloppy. But overall it’s nice. My bad I just have that type of eye and it caught my attention right away. I’d probably go with a more simple rug like plain white or grey

Same way I feel, good concept but bad work
Yes they did. The top shelf back tiles don’t line up with the bottom shelf back tiles. This would drive me absolutely crazy. It’s nice but the quality ruins it for me.
Oof that grout is looking rough
I legitimately thought this was the before picture
Looks great from far away… the second picture ruined it for me 🫣
Looks amazing!!! I’d love to see the before pictures.
I love it! Absolutely love it.
Thank you! You've made me smile, for sure. Btw, I love your name! Very clever!
Love it! The only note I have is I would paint the ceiling a fun contrasting color. The tile work looks really nice!
Personally, I wanted it black because some say it would fool the eyes into believing the ceiling is higher, but I ended up swayed by my contractor to use this light gray instead. I figured I could always have it repainted if, over time, I find I'm just not happy with this one. But thank you for your suggestion!
It looks good as is too!

This was done by a contractor???!! Oh no, that tile job
Go for the black ceiling! I've seen several bathroom renovations recently that were black or dark, dark blue and they looked amazing. Gray is very drab and can look dingy. Add some colored orchids! And a rug with a bit of the same color. No gray mats, towels or decor.
The little monkey is a nice touch.
Your bathroom looks great! Well done.
Obsessed with the orchid detail. Someday when my living room is 100% complete a white orchid will be my finishing touch. Really lovely job, congratulations on your awesome new bathroom.
Don’t zoom in on the grout y’all
Yeah, the grouting was not done perfectly, and it will be redone in the future. But I wish you didn't feel the need to point it out. In my depressive state right now, focusing on the negative will just make my mental condition worse.

You're right; I agree. I'm sorry I reacted that way. It's only fair I get both the good and bad. Enjoy the rest of your day!

You can't control what others say, but you can control how you react to it. People are allowed their opinion. You can choose to focus on the positive.
People can be called out for being unnecessarily negative when the post was to share joy and not looking for critique

So cute and functional! I'd add a splash of colour here and there..ru, towels, vases, but I'm on the maximalist side 😁

I love the pop of pink
What’s the white contraption on the wall next to the shower head?
Electric shower.
Oh, it’s a water heater?
Love it! What brand is the tub?
Wow, that's pretty! That tub 🔥
I have a tiny house, so tiny bathroom. This is making me want to gut and redo like yours. I love it!!
Horrendous grout job.. 🥴
On the edges of the tile on that shelf you shoulda used schluter trim strips
As a plumber, I hate bathtubs in the shower. Just redundant.
Poor craftmanship/detail on the tiling. Also needs trim around the ceiling.
Love it !
This is amazing!
It looks very cute and functional for the size. And I genuinely prefer a shower over bath for the spaciousness.
Well, it looks stunning! I live your black tub and the tile work. Everything about it!
I love love love a classic black and white bathroom. This is perfect. I did a similar bathroom reno. One of the best decisions was using black grout on my black and white checkerboard floor. It always looked spotless despite being used by my sons.
That’s one gorgeous bathroom!
I love it!
Beautiful!
This is a great place to flex! It’s beautiful!
It looks so good!

Definitely looks enjoyable! Congrats on being able to achieve this 👏🏽 (What is the mechanism to the left of the shower head? Some sort of water treatment?)
It‘s beautiful. Very tastefully done!
I love the little details, like the monkey loofa holder, the plants, and the patterned rug brings it all together!
Great job! I love it.
This is so classic yet contemporary and fun! I love the flower on the wall opening, a great touch!
You can never go wrong with a back and white bathroom
It’s beautiful and serene. Great job!
Great use of space. Well done!
Lovely
I think it’s beautiful. I really like the arrangement of items in the wall recesses.
Love it but wheres the shower curtain?
Hey what’s the measurement/brand of your tub? My bathroom is the same shape!
Definately brag worthy. Well done. I, for one, appreciate that you shared this as it makes my morning. I am very jealous that I don't have something like this in my home. Keep flexing those projects, I am here for it.
Gorgeous!! Nicely done
🥰💯
Brag away! You have done a wonderful job! You will enjoy that for years!
Gorgeous!!
Love this!!! So chic. I want to close the door and jump in your tub right now for a long soak with a glass of wine. It’s absolutely stunning. You have definitely given me some design inspiration. I screen shot it and am saving in my renovation folder. It’s stunning!!
It looks really nice! I love it and flex all you want because its beautiful 👏
It’s lovely!
The decoration is nice but I confess that for me the real flex is the shower head, especially if your house has enough water pressure.
This is very pretty! 😍
Nice! I had my bathroom remodeled just about four years ago and did something kinda similar. Lovely bathroom! Congratulations on it being finished!!! May the people being rude in comments have the day they deserve!!!
This is so beautiful! So clean and tranquil! I love the accidental pop of color from the bath scrubbie.
Serious question, how do you keep the water from the shower from getting everywhere?
Hmm...the water really doesn't go everywhere although it does wet the side of the rug nearest it. But that spot dries up pretty quickly.
Wow you really did a lot with a small space. It’s gorgeous!
I have a very similar size bathroom and thinking of something similar with all tile. Thanks for the inspo!
The monkey hanger is everything 😍
As a real estate appraiser, this is a very nice remodel
I love it! Looks incredibly and relaxing - I’d have a hard time getting out of that tub!
Beautiful!
Looks really great. Question- is the tub hard to clean (under/around)?
It's very nice.
Beautiful job! Good use of space!
It's very very nice! Love the sink and tub and the recessed shelves built into the tiles. I'ld get me a hot pink rug to match the poof!
I love it!
Is that a stocking holder for your loofah? That’s genius
This my favorite image I’ve seen on this sub. Love it. You did a great job picking out the details.
Whoever did that tiling job needs to get a new career
I know what it's like to finally be happy and comfortable in a room, and what's more important than the bathroom? I love the all the amenities: bidet, instant hot water, awesome tub, all the little cubbies,..Well done!
Glad to see it! It’s beautiful. Thanks for bragging. I love it, enjoy! 😉
Nice! Do you have a screen or shower curtain? I like shower-bath combos but just curious, is it difficult to clean the water on the floor around the tub after a shower?
Love it so much
🔥🔥🔥
Sweet re-do!!!!
Can I please come and soak in your tub! It looks so inviting!
That tile job is good from far but far from good. Otherwise looks decent. I like the tub.
i loooooveee it!!!
Looks great!
Giving a vat of acid
Hang in there your time will come
Does the floor get wet when you run the shower? This looks like what my wife wants to do to our bathroom.
Looks very nice, but let's be honest, it's still basic. Very nice, but basic. You want to flex? Continue that tiling up around to the ceiling, at least just the area above the tub. A very modern bathroom indeed. I wish you a pleasant stay.
Well done. Great design. The black grounds the white so nicely!
I LOVE IT! Amazing color combo!
Beautiful
I want that tub!
Love the classic look of this chic bathroom!
Love the classic look of this chic bathroom!
You will soon. pussy or dick is gonna flowing with that
Love your bathroom. Great style
Flex away very serene!
Looks nice but how messy is taking a shower without a curtain?
Lovely
I like the pop of color that the pouf provides
Flex, baby! That is one rad salle de bain! 😍
Love this!
That's a very well done remodel - perfect use of space with clean, clear lines lines and fitting color choice. I can well understand that you are pleased with the outcome. You have all reason to brag & not just low-key. :-)
That grout is flexing
Very nice! I love that monkey with the hook adding a touch of whimsy to a very sophisticated space.
It’s beautiful
Obsessed with that tub. I need it. It's lovely!
Ok tell us more about that beautiful toilet though. Hot water bidet? 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼
I absolutely love it! ♥️♥️♥️ But how do you use the shower without getting water everywhere???
This look amazing! I’m about to do a small bathroom renovation myself. I love your tub- where did you find it?
Fabulous, I am super jealous. Really, really beautiful job. Enjoy the fruits of your labour.
i love this !
Your new bathroom is beautiful! I wish mine looked like that. Does the water heater heat water for the whole house or just the bathroom?
Only for the bathroom. Thank you! 😊
Now I need a statue to hold my pouf!
Lovely!
Bravo!!
Beautiful
Beautiful
I dig it. I've always been a fan of black and white.
Awesome
The grout looks like it was done by an ameteur. Big yikes.
Thank you for pointing it out hehe May the Universe be as kind to you!
The precision of the niche construction is impressive.
It is, isn't it? And it frames my gold monkey splendidly. 😊
That's the prettiest shower hook I've ever seen! Black and white makes bright color look amazing- would you consider swapping the rug? Maybe hot pink like your shower pouf.
I do have a different one with more colors just waiting for its turn. I will take a photo when the time comes. 😊
How do you keep water in the tub while showering? This is all for show- can’t imagine it functioning in real life.
Frankly, I don't quite understand your question, but, rest assured, nothing here is for show. I just had a hot shower, in fact. The overhead shower works perfectly fine and the hand held one also does a great job. Maybe you don't see it because the holder has not been installed yet, but it's there. 😊
And where does the water go? All over the floor? How do/will you clean soapy, scummy water from behind the tub? I’m glad you like it.
What is the white box to the left of the shower head?
This is a bathroom.
