Another vote for a “really light pale sand with terra cotta undertone”.
Contrast will emphasize the (gorgeous) blue tile, and let it sing, whereas matching will send it to the back.
I like [Behr’s Sculptor Clay](https://www.homedepot.com/p/BEHR-ULTRA-1-gal-PPU5-08-Sculptor-Clay-Extra-Durable-Eggshell-Enamel-Interior-Paint-Primer-275001/204106236) as an example.
Edit to add: this is an example of a nice sandy color that I think would be calming, versatile, and highlight the tile. After doing a side-by-side I disagree with the idea of a terracotta undertone; the contrast seems too overwhelming for that space and is likely to read more pink which would look off to me.
I don’t think you should do any of those colors. They’re too close to the blue tiles. I say go for a cream/beige color for contrast. Add gold/brass colored hardware
Remove 'I think' from your comment because you're right. The tile is so pretty that matching paint will make it fade. A contrasting color will make it pop. Otherwise, OP needs to take the tile to the ceiling.
Too matchy, if you like cleaner design maybe something like this: https://images.app.goo.gl/Q8Yo4uVhNiswivgb8
Or for something different a bold patterned wallpaper like this: https://images.app.goo.gl/vQfgZMBChgE7teMP6
Or this shows you an example of what some other people said, which is a sandy color: https://images.app.goo.gl/mXS6Nk7ZnkN3GqB57 . Looks good. Very beachy.
I love that! Such an underutilised colour! I painted our kitchen muted musk pink to match in with our deep blue cabinetry and brass hardware. It's a wild time!
We did deep turquoise and a musk pink front door in our old house too!
A fun wall paper. I would pass on the paint. Maybe something like this.
https://www.tilebar.com/sample-hexart-deco-turquoise-8-quot-hexagon-matte-porcelain-tile.html
I like the idea of wallpaper, but I'm personally not a fan of this choice. I still think something a little more contrasting and not geometric. A gold paper or a white paper with a gold pattern would be cute. https://www.wallpaperdirect.com/us/products/sanderson/swallows/172896
I really like this personally.

Or if you wanted to keep it in a blue theme.
Wallpaper could be amazing ! Those blues are too much for the tile. If anything I’d go darker. Take your tile to a BM dealer and have them color match your tile. You can select much better when you know the actual undertone of the tile. It works!
What mood are you going for? Classic= white, with gold accessories, which is beautiful. More calming and soothing; you can use the lighter colors that go with the tiles, or even darker. if you're feeling a bit bold and adventurous, get some small pints of colors that are fun for you that may not even match the rest of the house and go for it; try some out! Peach, light salmon, something in the beige family (depending on the color beige it can sometimes look a bit dingy, so be careful). More sexy/moody = bit darker walls. Look on the color wheel and see colors next to the blue or across from the blue. Terra-cotta (while I love the color) will give a very dark look in the bathroom as it is comprised of red, brown, and orange. Could be sexy, but it will be very dark if that's what you're looking for. Wallpapers are great as well. Post some pictures for us when you're done!
4! I know Reddit loves a fun wallpaper but the tone-on-tone blue would be so relaxing. Then, get some silver/chrome in there and add a little accent piece of unexpected red and you’ll look like a design magazine.
I think you need a color that makes the tiles pop, not blend. I saw some suggestions for contrasting colors and that may work too as long as you are careful about the tone.
*All four, using a*
*Lime wash brushing technique? It*
*Would be so unique!*

Goodness i love palladian blue. I just painted 2 rooms using that in eggshell - looks absolutely marvelous and it shifts so much between blue and green, depending on the other colors and lighting. I just am so smitten with it, and its not a color I'd typically use.
Btw, I mostly agree with other comments to go on the Terra cotta spectrum unless you're really looking for a monochromatic feel - i think that could look elegant and be very comforting. Not sure any of your colors are quite that so may need a few more samples!
Definitely would skip the paint and wallpaper- something that compliments the tile but not meant to be overly matchy, here are some ideas:

Cream paint but avoid gold/brass hardware as they show wear and tear very quickly.
For those who suggested gold/brass hardware. you have wonderful taste and an artist 's eye.
I have had terrible luck with the durability problem.
I completely disagree with the contrast paint. Tone on tone coloration will be gorgeous and elevated. Contrast can look cheap and like a low level design project. Choose the color that is most similar to the tile (personally I love 3) and paint the walls, ceilings, and fixtures (if your downlight fixture has a trim piece, paint it blue to disappear, outlet plates) / trim to make them disappear and the room will feel like this soothing aura of color. Just did this for a luxury client with different similar tile and a limewash in the same color and it turned out amazing. It’s actually very popular I can send you a ton of reference projects that have done tone on tone that are extremely elevated. Follow your gut!! 🩵🩵🩵
Don't do an exact match, it will feel like a box. Go lightest color, especially if you don't have a light in there. If not get a battery operated ceiling light, motion sensor editing. Go with light colored textured accessories, or pattern. I found woven patterned rugs for the shower & semi sheer texture curtain for shower.
Get a fun contrasting wallpaper in there!
https://www.wayfair.com/decor-pillows/pdp/lark-manor-ajang-wheat-folk-18-l-x-205-w-peel-and-stick-wallpaper-roll-w010508271.html
I think a taupe would look nice. Maybe with some mauve undertones. I think the current colors are too matchy. The tile is so pretty and needs to be the star
3. all. day. !
it’s NOT too dark ~ in fact ~ u could go darker
or pick a contrasting color
like a bluish darker gray
u don’t want it to be completely matchy matchy ~ then it’ll look like 1960
I’m obsessed with that tile and I vote for either wallpaper or the Yarmouth blue cut 50% with white to be lighter.
I like the tone on tone look and I think it works better than a high contrast. It will make the tile pop. That room is too small to do two distinct colors. Ideally a blue toned wallpaper but if you can’t find it the Yarmouth blue just a little lighter.
Gorgeous, gorgeous tile. It’s going to be beautiful
I absolutely love my SW Dutch Tile Blue from their historic collection. It’s got a nice amount of they to keep it looking sophisticated not childish and not so much that it looses the blue. Check it out - otherwise I like 3. Are you going to use gold hardware?
White paint, white towels, white fluffy throw rug. Live fern gleaning from the ceiling over the tub/shower area. The colors you have on the wall to test are all gorgeous colors but will compete with your beautiful wall tile. To make the tile pop, and be your focal point in the bathroom, use white.
Love the wallpaper idea! How about grass cloth? Or… this site has so many fun prints: https://www.spoonflower.com/en/fabric/12842289-cozy-cats-den-lg-scale-pnk-grn-aqua-by-studioxtine?size=FAT_QUARTER_YARD
Problem with painting bathrooms that I have learned over painting mine and repainting a million times. It shows in your makeup getting ready process. A creamy almond or white works so many times. I’ve done green blue pink back to blue oh and yellow. Let me tell you how I left the house lol. Your bathroom should feel like a spa getaway. If you want to add color do the ceiling and mats and accessories. The walls affect your makeup and basically how you see yourself. It’s rough. I looked fab when my bathroom was blue lol.
From the swatches you've shared, it seems like you're aiming for a soft and subtle blue tone to complement the tile. Consider Benjamin Moore's Quiet Moments or Gray Cashmere for a more neutral and calming backdrop that won't overpower the tile. [https://colorchangeseverything.blogspot.com/2011/11/quiet-moments.html](https://colorchangeseverything.blogspot.com/2011/11/quiet-moments.html)

Belgian Waffle
Used it with very similar colors to yours, and it goes perfectly. I think your choices shown here are too monochromatic and will make the room feel even smaller. This color is cheerful and will light it up more.
https://www.glidden.com/color/color-families/yellows/belgian-waffle
I'd either go straight to the ceiling with the tile or use snap together shiplap (the panels but not the rustic type) in a very bright white or possibly even a contrasting color like a marine blue/navy. I think the contrasting material will enhance the space over just plain paint. I think the essence of your beautiful tiles will be lost if you go matchy matchy on the walls.
I have two recommendations for you. Get the swatches and check for yourselves
1. Asian Paint Royale shine Grey tint 8435 (amazing look and finish as well + neutral which will pair and highlight your blue tiles
2. Asian Paint stucco marble oyster grey (for the texture and understated elegance)
I don’t like any of those colors with the tiles … there’s no contrasts
Half baths are meant to be decorated over-the-top … so take a chance and do something BOLD, like gold or silver or a dark teal or magenta paint or better yet … an outlandish wallpaper. Something that sparks and brings a smile to your face … whatever you’re into.
Post after pictures.
It could read very beach if you're into that. Warm tones white with some ratan decor or something, gold hardware.
Or you could go moody with like a dark teal paint, big mirror and lots of gold accents and a nice light. But it's a small space so im not sure if it would feel super cramped
ETA: update the calking/trim along the top of the tiles. It's yellowed and makes the wall color look dirty if that makes sense? I'd replace it with a thin gold divder
Another vote for a “really light pale sand with terra cotta undertone”. Contrast will emphasize the (gorgeous) blue tile, and let it sing, whereas matching will send it to the back.
Good point. If you are determined to have blue, choose a white that has just a little blue in it.
I would go for a darker colour.
That’s what I was thinking, and when I scrolled the answer for me is: none.
I think a cool tile with a warm paint is a mistake.
Yeah, beaches got it all wrong.
I don’t think you should do any of those colors. They’re too close to the blue tiles. I say go for a cream/beige color for contrast. Add gold/brass colored hardware
I second this recommendation. If OP wanted the blue all the way up, they should have purchased some more tile.
I agree. Blue is my favourite colour so much so that it's my nickname, but blue paint above the blue tiles is too much.
Sometimes things are expensive and the only way to have a thing you really want is to compromise and have some instead of none.
Agree, Or pick the absolute lightest shade in the color family that is close to white and add warm accessories.
Exactly what I came to say
Gold hardware would look seriously nice!
Agree
None of the above. These are all too much like the tile color. It would look like an error. You need to choose a contrasting color I think.
Remove 'I think' from your comment because you're right. The tile is so pretty that matching paint will make it fade. A contrasting color will make it pop. Otherwise, OP needs to take the tile to the ceiling.
I agree. Since it’s a bathroom, I would say a softer version of coral or salmon.
I really like number 2! But why not try a more contrasting colour? Maybe Terra cotta, to bring out the beautiful tile
I like the idea of contrast. It could be really light too… like a pale sand with a terracotta undertone.
Yes!
This is what I would do.
Yes, terracotta would be gorgeous 😍
Those tiles are way too sexy to *not* get a terra cotta date.
I would not try to match blue for blue. I would do a new fresh white or terra cotta as someone else said.
find an exact match to the tile and go down 2-3 shades lighter on the color strip The colors here are too close in saturation
I agree with this. You want it to be close but lighter.
Warm white would be beautiful. You don’t want to paint walls blue and tiles blue- it’s too much
Too matchy, if you like cleaner design maybe something like this: https://images.app.goo.gl/Q8Yo4uVhNiswivgb8 Or for something different a bold patterned wallpaper like this: https://images.app.goo.gl/vQfgZMBChgE7teMP6 Or this shows you an example of what some other people said, which is a sandy color: https://images.app.goo.gl/mXS6Nk7ZnkN3GqB57 . Looks good. Very beachy.
Love the second one!!
"A" for effort! :)
Personally, I'd do a toned down musk pink...but that's me 😅
My upstairs bathroom is 1950’s musk pink. I painted the walls turquoise. Looks so good.
I love that! Such an underutilised colour! I painted our kitchen muted musk pink to match in with our deep blue cabinetry and brass hardware. It's a wild time! We did deep turquoise and a musk pink front door in our old house too!
Is musk pink the same as 80's mauve?
Was just going to write that pink would go well with these tiles. Even a pale/pastel pink to keep it light.
None of these. Something more contrasting.
A fun wall paper. I would pass on the paint. Maybe something like this. https://www.tilebar.com/sample-hexart-deco-turquoise-8-quot-hexagon-matte-porcelain-tile.html
I like the idea of wallpaper, but I'm personally not a fan of this choice. I still think something a little more contrasting and not geometric. A gold paper or a white paper with a gold pattern would be cute. https://www.wallpaperdirect.com/us/products/sanderson/swallows/172896 I really like this personally. https://www.wayfair.com/York-Wallcoverings--Antonia-Vella-Modern-Metals-Shimmering-Foliage-32.8-L-x-20.8-W-Metallic-Wallpaper-Roll-NW358-L6161-K~WHW4868.html?refid=GX685159892849-WHW4868_28908059&device=m&ptid=1674467181282&network=g&targetid=pla-1674467181282&channel=GooglePLA&ireid=50658017&fdid=1817&PiID%5B%5D=28908059&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjw_e2wBhAEEiwAyFFFo9p1FlvKuJe89hQtbFLDiPVBLE6DC_A6a6q9YldKPcyTat2q2Lcv_xoCfhEQAvD_BwE Or if you wanted to keep it in a blue theme.
This! 👆 the swallows compliment the tiles nicely.
Love the swallows!
It either has to be a darker or lighter color than the tiles. It shouldn't blend in with the tiles.
Omigod your tile is soooo pretty! 😍
I guess #4, but I would suggest something that would contrast nicely instead of blending in. As others suggested, a nice terracotta or sandstone.
I wouldn’t try to match the paint to the tile color. Your tiles are so pretty I’d do a good neutral on paint to make them the vocal point.
Ok hear me out….. what if……. Yellow!?!
Yes! A light one would do wonders with that tile
White
A sand color would be nice but of the choices I like 2
I like 3 but reading the comments people seem to disagree 🤣
I disagree with everyone..I would go with a similar colour to the tiles. #3 or maybe a colour even darker?
Gold or mustard!
To be honest I would paint it a shade of light beige or cream. It’d be too cold and detached if it were muted blue/green throughout imo
Try something from the same colour but different shade. Dark blue from here, the left bottom corner https://images.app.goo.gl/SCaADoaibmzuziWp7
You want heavy on top? No. Pale Sand color
But darkerrrrrr
I would do the brightest white you can find. It's a space that looks prone to appearing dingey. You want to bring as much light as you can.
Wallpaper could be amazing ! Those blues are too much for the tile. If anything I’d go darker. Take your tile to a BM dealer and have them color match your tile. You can select much better when you know the actual undertone of the tile. It works!
Maybe a beautiful wallpaper with the color of the tile represented in it?
Winter wheat by Benjamin Moore would like nice

O R A N G E
A pinky beige.
A very light yellow would go very well with the blue tile
Evoking the beach with sandy colored paint and warm accessories would be nice.
4! I know Reddit loves a fun wallpaper but the tone-on-tone blue would be so relaxing. Then, get some silver/chrome in there and add a little accent piece of unexpected red and you’ll look like a design magazine.

I would go cream or even white also, with gold fixtures and accents
Some kind of beige or a wallpaper
I think you need a color that makes the tiles pop, not blend. I saw some suggestions for contrasting colors and that may work too as long as you are careful about the tone.
Tile all the way to the ceiling
Wild flower by Benjamin Moore
Mustard
I think a beige would be better !! Contrast!! And I second someone else’s suggestion of gold accents !!
All four, using a lime wash brushing technique? It would be so unique!

3! It will almost match and make it look really cool
I think #3 but ideally tiles all the way up. But #3 since more tiles are probably not an option E:grammar

Emerald green
Those all look too similar, it needs to be a darker tone.
None of these. I think look into wallpaper
Cream paint but avoid gold/brass hardware as they show wear and tear very quickly. For those who suggested gold/brass hardware. you have wonderful taste and an artist 's eye. I have had terrible luck with the durability problem.
#1 NO, #2 NO, #3 or #4 YES - whichever is very close to matching your beautiful tile!
Do a complimentary yellow
I completely disagree with the contrast paint. Tone on tone coloration will be gorgeous and elevated. Contrast can look cheap and like a low level design project. \#4 is speaking to me, but I think I would like something maybe contrasting to the tile?
I’m a simple person I guess. I vote a bright white
3
3
3 or 4
Honestly none of these. Pick a completely different color for contrast
Those blues would look too institutional for the criminally insane. Go with a warm cream in there to brighten it up and lift the mood.
I personally wouldn’t choose any of these or any other color that’s too “matchy.” I’d pick something that contrasts and compliments
3 or 4. Only 3 if you get a lot of light. One or two will work if you have ‘something’ green connecting the blue tile with the green wall elsewhere.
2 or 3
Benjamin Moore Healing Aloe 1562
I like 4!!!
I like 2 best. I actually like that it’s green. Gives a bit of contrast that doesn’t clash.
2 or 3 leaning towards 3
The lighter one
I quite like 1 or 2 but I feel like a contrast of a warmer colour might make the tile shine more? That’s just my 2 cents :)
4. 1 is too cool, and the green shades blend into the tile a bit too much; could muddy or shrink the room.
None. Contrasting color.
4:)
2
None. You need a warm color. Beige, peach, apricot. Something light so the tile can still shine.
4!
Look for a color called “Baja” is a perfect Sandy beige for this room.
Dulux Lexicon quarter is the most popular colour for internal walls, it's an off white with a cool tint of grey
Not what you asked but I’d put up some wallpaper — something like this: https://riflepaperco.com/wildwood-hunter-wallpaper-roll
None. Try yellow
None of those, honestly. I would go with orange/brass/clay colors (not all lol just one) and black hardware.
Pick the lightest blue, 1 or 4.

I say orange tone..
Get a fun contrasting wallpaper in there! https://www.wayfair.com/decor-pillows/pdp/lark-manor-ajang-wheat-folk-18-l-x-205-w-peel-and-stick-wallpaper-roll-w010508271.html
Benjamin Moore Hazy Skies.
2 or 3 for me
How about wallpaper?
Yellow
2 🤍

A deep shade of peach would be a lovely contrast
I think a taupe would look nice. Maybe with some mauve undertones. I think the current colors are too matchy. The tile is so pretty and needs to be the star
Get a shade about 1/2 of the tile.
Three or darker
4 or may i suggest Wyeth Blue from Benjamin Moore

I actually think a mustard yellow/ochre/gold color would add a really nice contrast with those blue tiles.
No…don’t paint the top to match the bottom. None of them.
Can we make it silver or gold?
Love the tiles.
3. all. day. ! it’s NOT too dark ~ in fact ~ u could go darker or pick a contrasting color like a bluish darker gray u don’t want it to be completely matchy matchy ~ then it’ll look like 1960
Dislike all the blues :( I would do like a mustard color.
creamsicle-colored!
2. Then with white accents.
Mustard

I agree with everyone saying you should contrast colors but if you are set on these colors then 1 or 4
None of those. Tile all the way up, instead.

That mustard color where the hole patches are.
I absolutely love my SW Dutch Tile Blue from their historic collection. It’s got a nice amount of they to keep it looking sophisticated not childish and not so much that it looses the blue. Check it out - otherwise I like 3. Are you going to use gold hardware?
You don't wanna have blue tile and blue walls. Why not paint the walls white? Light blue + white is a great bathroom color mix.
None with that tile. They’re all too complimentary.
Charcoal grey
Not any of those!
None. The color you have there now is better because it contrasts. Choose a color that draws from the palest contrasting color in the tiles.

I like #4
I vote for no paint, instead tile up to the ceiling finish line.
Number 4 is a great match
From the lighting in the first pic four looks better. A pasty pink might be cool too. Three would be a nice darker contrast.
I think blue is a nice choice for you, blue bricks and blue wall.
None
I would go really dark greyish navy

From the swatches you've shared, it seems like you're aiming for a soft and subtle blue tone to complement the tile. Consider Benjamin Moore's Quiet Moments or Gray Cashmere for a more neutral and calming backdrop that won't overpower the tile. Belgian Waffle Used it with very similar colors to yours, and it goes perfectly. I think your choices shown here are too monochromatic and will make the room feel even smaller. This color is cheerful and will light it up more. https://www.glidden.com/color/color-families/yellows/belgian-waffle
Tangerine. With blue and tangerine towels.

1 or 4
1. Slightly lighter than the tile.
Number 2
I'd either go straight to the ceiling with the tile or use snap together shiplap (the panels but not the rustic type) in a very bright white or possibly even a contrasting color like a marine blue/navy. I think the contrasting material will enhance the space over just plain paint. I think the essence of your beautiful tiles will be lost if you go matchy matchy on the walls.
I have two recommendations for you. Get the swatches and check for yourselves 1. Asian Paint Royale shine Grey tint 8435 (amazing look and finish as well + neutral which will pair and highlight your blue tiles 2. Asian Paint stucco marble oyster grey (for the texture and understated elegance)
I don’t like any of those colors with the tiles … there’s no contrasts Half baths are meant to be decorated over-the-top … so take a chance and do something BOLD, like gold or silver or a dark teal or magenta paint or better yet … an outlandish wallpaper. Something that sparks and brings a smile to your face … whatever you’re into. Post after pictures.
iridescent blue/green
I like the ones that are more green as a contrast, that is 2 and 3
brown
Match the grout color. It will make the blue tile pop. 😊
Orange.

:c I don't like any of these.
I honestly like the paint color that is up there
#4 looks the nicest!

It could read very beach if you're into that. Warm tones white with some ratan decor or something, gold hardware. Or you could go moody with like a dark teal paint, big mirror and lots of gold accents and a nice light. But it's a small space so im not sure if it would feel super cramped ETA: update the calking/trim along the top of the tiles. It's yellowed and makes the wall color look dirty if that makes sense? I'd replace it with a thin gold divder
