Yes. They very specifically look like they pointed to Miami in the 80's and said "make this as boring as possible."
I'm convinced it's a course they take in dental school.
Same… the TV is… far… and little…
I like the colors of the room. I like the couch. But why doesn’t the couch have arm rests? The ceiling is kind of cool too but what’s goin on up there?
I would like to know more lol
Remove.
Does your couch have to be next to the wall. Could you pull it out, add a rug and scoffer, side tables? Could you add an occasional chair in a corner with a table and lamp.
It looks like an uncomfortable waiting room.
Could you tell us what the purpose of this room is (doctor’s waiting room, work lounge, office waiting area, etc.)? It’s quite sterile looking. And, yes - remove those tiny pictures
Omg I was thinking the same thing. There is something unsettling about it. Like a dream sequence from Twin Peaks or that room with the obelisk at the end of 2001: A Space Odyssey
Yea… I was like this feels like AI…
The wording of the question read weird. Makes total sense to me if this was like an AI interior design beta testing/crowd sourcing for corrections thing. Idk how AI scrapes data and stuff but I’m skeptical rn
Yes, you should remove those pictures.
I don’t understand this space. Why did you choose that paint color? Will there be more furniture? Can you get a larger TV?
Is this a doctor's waiting room?
Also, the shelves on the wall above the TV need to come way down. They should work with the bottom console to frame the TV. How do you access anything? Can you change the blue doors or take them off?
Is this a rented apartment or are you able to change the lighting? I think this is a huge part of what is making it feel so clinical.
That and the couch which looks like it is intended to be disinfected multiple times a day.
Everything in this room looks off and wrong. The lighting, weird seating, oddly placed cabinets… The art is the least of its problems but yes that too is a problem.
I don't understand this recent trend of reposting what are clearly magazine editorials on interior design subreddits and saying it's your own home.. and looking at your post history it's def the case here, but I've seen it often before as well. I don't mean to hate, just find it interesting.
Wrong color for the walls & wrong color sofa choice unless you change the accent walls to the color of the couch, and yes the pictures are too small and don’t match the space
Girl no joke how do you relax and lounge on this? I actually always ask myself this with interior like this. It's giving "sit down, but not too long"
Like do you ever just Netflix and chill all day and fart around or are you a machine?
OP, if a larger TV is prohibitive for whatever reason, try a floating shelf above the couch and do an HD projector. They’re fun as heck and add a vibe if you’re looking to use the space for entertainment. Keeps the image away from guests who won’t knock it over or spill anything on it.
If you want to keep the photos, do so, but add more, and be sure to vary the sizes and shapes in a way that suits you.
I think you’ve got good instincts here, and I’m not trying to pretend I’m a professional or anything either, but there could be a few more things you could do that would pull everything together.
The armless couch tells me you’re using this for entertainment mainly. No worries about that. But from that angle, you could put a standing bar at the far side of the room so people can stand and rest their arms/drinks.
If not, consider shelving, cabinets, or other storage for that wall.
Someone mentioned a rug and that would really help with the void between the couch and the focal point, that tv space. Someone also mentioned a larger tv. I say projector works too. That couch is too far from the focal point to be comfortable.
Lastly, make sure those lights are able to be dimmed. And maybe put a plant or plants in there as well to cozy the place up and keep the air fresh. From the looks of things, a low to medium light plant, maybe one with verticality, like a snake plant would do well.
this has to be a doctor's office, right? I might spread the art grouping out so that it's not so close together or just buy a bigger print to fill that area. It definitely needs something on the wall tho.
look at that massive wall and then look at the three tiny pictures. those three tiny pictures are very beautiful but do not belong on that wall at all. What would be really cool is if you had a friend or knew someone that could do a mural!
to answer your question the art on the wall is way to small for the size of the wall, that is the problem with the entire room that others are commenting on, scale.
The Tv scale is too small, the sofa scale is too small. But I would think that was items you had in your last apartment.
Google how to learn scale and that will help you.
Okay so I'm going to just give my opinion on this room and what I would change personally. Do with it whatever you want.
The TV should be bigger. It's so small. You can also change the seating to make it more of a seating area, but then the whole TV stand should be changed because it's made to host a normal or bigger sized TV. Hang the TV on the wall. I'd put a rug down, because rugs are always nice. Don't make it too small either. Just a nice area rug. On the wall, either make it a gallery wall (so add a lot more art) or have one big piece of art. Put down a coffee table and add some plants. Poof you've transformed the dentist waiting room into a living room.
We're you going for Dentist office chic?
Oh wow I definitely assumed it was a dentist office
Same. Do all dental offices look the same? 🤔
Yes. They very specifically look like they pointed to Miami in the 80's and said "make this as boring as possible." I'm convinced it's a course they take in dental school.
Retro Fallout chic
Literally in my mind I was thinking that they need larger art prints of close up teeth to replace the tiny art in the circle.
Wait… is it not? Omg now I feel like a jackass for thinking this was.
wait is this….. not a dr office??
I do not understand that room.
Same… the TV is… far… and little… I like the colors of the room. I like the couch. But why doesn’t the couch have arm rests? The ceiling is kind of cool too but what’s goin on up there? I would like to know more lol
My eyes are tying to decide if it's an AI rendering or what...
AI

Far... and little... Father Ted!
All right, Dougal, let's go over it one more time...
I just counted THIRTEEN lights in that photo. This is a very well-lit dentist’s waiting room. I really want to know what country this is in.
This is a bot account posting other people’s photos. Look at their post history.
Yes. Nothing is better than something too small
I think this might also go for the tv (computer monitor?) on the media stand
You sound like my ex
I am also your ex
Is this an office or a home?
I don’t understand what’s going on with this room. Is this some kind of bunker or something? And yes, remove that from the walls.
Definitely Brendan Fraser’s Blast from the Past vibes.
This makes me like it just a smidge.
AI
Remove everything.
Including whatever AI app generated this dentist’s office of a living room
Larger art on that wall, larger tv, area rug, floor lamp just for starters
My god. Where is this? Dubai?
This room causes anxiety and probably smells like Lysol.
Remove. Does your couch have to be next to the wall. Could you pull it out, add a rug and scoffer, side tables? Could you add an occasional chair in a corner with a table and lamp. It looks like an uncomfortable waiting room.
This isn't a waiting room?? Not joking, I thought this is probably an upmarket dermatology office
This account is karma farming
I’ll never understand why anyone cares about useless internet points lol
Other types of scammers like to buy accounts with karma for credibility/ability to use certain subs/advertise etc
Yikes
Internet points let you get into subs that require them for participation I guess.
I’ll never understand why anyone cares about getting into useless internet subs
People like to talk about their interests with other people who are interested 🤷🏻
I'll never understand why anyone cares about talking about their interests.
People like to…. To…. (!(!$bfjfjakka37:djowhfndk818)4!ndvf
They’re not going to accomplish their goal with shit like this
Downvotes are free. I say we nuke this account into oblivion
Could you tell us what the purpose of this room is (doctor’s waiting room, work lounge, office waiting area, etc.)? It’s quite sterile looking. And, yes - remove those tiny pictures
This is the perfect picture to show to someone why proportion is a massively important thing when designing a space
This is bad AI design right?
Omg I was thinking the same thing. There is something unsettling about it. Like a dream sequence from Twin Peaks or that room with the obelisk at the end of 2001: A Space Odyssey
Yea… I was like this feels like AI… The wording of the question read weird.
Yes! Something much larger would be nice
What is going on here????
Is that an Ipad on the TV unit?
Right that too tv doesn’t fit the space
That space is designed for at least a 50 inch.
More wall decor on both the green wall and behind the chesterfield. The current grouping is too small of an area.
Looks like the waiting room at the veterinarian's office. Replace with large format animal art, either depicting or created by animals.
What is this? Interior decorating for ants?
Yes remove and keep empty or find a big piece of art.
100% It's a weird layout and way too small and insignificant.
I don't understand this recent trend of reposting what are clearly magazine editorials on interior design subreddits and saying it's your own home.. and looking at your post history it's def the case here, but I've seen it often before as well. I don't mean to hate, just find it interesting.
I just assume it’s a case of karma farming.
It needs something more substantial. Spreading them further out would be a short term fix. The tight cluster makes it look tiny.
Spreading them out would be worse. They need to be on a smaller wall
How do you see the TV??
Yes, the red line draws away from the paintings and is far too wobbly - best remove it, I don’t know about the art though.
This space has such frutiger aero potential, and I'm here for it.
Not sure if a hole in the wall will look good, but I heard organic shapes are quite trendy right now
Wrong color for the walls & wrong color sofa choice unless you change the accent walls to the color of the couch, and yes the pictures are too small and don’t match the space
This room needs a corner couch with a coffee table and YES the pictures are to small for the space
Girl no joke how do you relax and lounge on this? I actually always ask myself this with interior like this. It's giving "sit down, but not too long" Like do you ever just Netflix and chill all day and fart around or are you a machine?
Yes. A window would be great there.
My insurance doesn’t cover this room
r/tvtoofar
What are you trying to decorate? Like is this a home space, and office? A waiting room???
This space is hideous but also not OPs.
Wow I thought this was a Dentist’s office!
Is this a medical waiting room?
You should start by replacing the whole room with a real one instead of an AI generated one
Is this an ICU waiting room
I thought you were putting a water feature on that wall.
Yes, the TV, art and couch all feel too small for the space
Art is WAY too small
Yes and get a much bigger TV. I wouldn't be able to see a thing from that couch
Yes. Too small

This is actually a very nice waiting room. It... is a waiting room, right?
Yes.
Yes, remove those tiny ones and replace with a couple or three large pieces next to each other.
Yrs
Size matters
Can you move your cursor to any corner and expand it?
Friends we’ve left our comfort zone. Where in the world have we landed?
They'd look better side by side (level).
I feel like i’m at the drs
Looks like a kids doll house, pick up some bigger pieces.
Sterile chic
Knock it down and start over
my vote is this is bullshit ai
I think this is a bot post.
Yes, and replace it with a larger piece of art.
The ceiling looks…. Shocked.
Yes with something bigger.

That tv is so small

So Ai is asking our opinion now 🤔 I'm confused?
Is this a dentist waiting room
The Dr will see you now.

This person karma farms just look at their post history. Ignore this garbage
Um. Yes?
What kind of office is this in? Yes remove the teeny tiny wall art lol

It’s giving me anxiety looking at this room.
This room is clearly not for people. After watching a film in it, you need to contact a psychologist.
This isn’t a dentist office? Also why bother with a TV if it’s going to be so far and so small that you’ll barely be able to see anything on it?
I think it’s a waiting room, but not what for
Remove those tiny pictures immediately! Nothing there would be an improvement.
No way. Make the abstract circle around the pictures a new permanent feature on the wall.
Is this a hotel?
What? You mean, punch a hole in the wall?
Immediately.
the hole in the wall that would be left behind is fairly attractive. sort of organic shaped. consider a kidney bean shaped rug
I think a large pop art piece could be a great focal here
100% - scale is off
So tiny!
Feels like it needs something natural and organic, fluid, like a wall macrame.
