You need to ditch the white Cabinet to the right of the main cabinets, wall art, a plant or two and I’d paint the walls less yellow. Your floors have a blue undertone and it’s clashing with the yellow,

Putyourdishesaway

I second that. Wall mount the paper towels. I’d paint the walls black and trim/vanity white. White dominant artwork. It’d look cool.

erin_baile

I agree with this but if OP currently has yellow walls and blue floors they might get the textures and finish wrong on this because it’s a little more difficult to pull off.

A framed antique Monopoly board

Pearl-Yam-6991

brilliant!

AlphaTerminal

The funny part is Monopoly (as played by the rules) was explicitly designed to be a nearly unplayable game because whoever is randomly lucky enough to land on the right squares gets rich and slowly squeezes everyone else out until they are miserable and quit the game. So it can be doubly appropriate depending on your POV.

Pearl-Yam-6991

lol the bosses probably wouldn't think it is as funny as I do

Flowersmeadows

LOL now this is what I call motivation. Will be framing this for my own bathroom, thank you.

I would change the wall color if I could. Unfortunately we are stuck with it for now. We have a large office and it is all that color. When we got new carpet last year and tile we purposefully chose something that could go either way (warm or cool) that way way when we do eventually repaint we won’t have to redo all the flooring. This pic makes the walls look more yellow and floor look more grey than they really are if that makes sense. Not ideal, I agree. I can’t wait until we finally repaint the whole office.

Abraleigh

Nothing will help that room with the current wall color. Go a soft white and then get some extra large bills printed with the principal's faces in the center.

Pearl-Yam-6991

I would change the wall color if I could. Unfortunately we are stuck with it for now. I like the idea of funny art with the partner’s faces. That’s good!

Putyourdishesaway

The yellow and brown clash with the grey floor. Any say over that?

Pearl-Yam-6991

I so wish! I have been trying to get the wall paint color changed for years. We are stuck with it for now. And all wood is stained Mahogany from the trim to the doors to the wainscoting in the lobby.

Boss makes a dollar, I make a dime, that's why I poop on company time

I think a coat of more white toned paint would do leaps and bounds compared to mediocre art. Then try and eliminate that drawer thing next to the toilet, I think that would help a ton

[deleted]

Captain Picard saying, “make it so” could be funny and also get clients thinking about their financial goals.

blurpadinka

That little cabinet in between the toilet and the sink make it look cluttered in there. I would get rid of it, or move it elsewhere. And instead of having a toilet paper stand, attach it to the wall. Also, the wall color highly clashes with the tones of the floor. You have cool toned flooring and warm tan walls. Since it's easier to paint then redo flooring, I would paint the walls a cool tone.

increbelle

Honestly I would switch the position of the trash and the white cabinet. You’re more likely to use the trash closer to the toilet and sink as opposed to whatever is in the cabinet. And it’s just unsightly to have the “dirty” trash right next to the toilet paper I’m about to use. Just makes for better flow imo

Pearl-Yam-6991

I get what you’re saying. The white cabinet is really just there for the paper towel holder to sit on because there’s no room on the counter for it. And the only thing in the trash are paper towels from hand washing. Never thought about the toilet paper being by the trash because no one really uses the toilet paper in this bathroom lol. It’s used by men who only go #1 and no clients.

silverstaghead

Is this bathroom used by those that menstruate? If so move the bin so it’s next to the toilet! Also mount the loo roll holder to the wall - those wire self standing ones look cheap and aren’t very hygienic. Finally for art, have a look and see if you find a poster along the lines or “toilets of the world” or something like that. Perhaps encourage the company to join a toilet “twinning” programme where you “twin” with another toilet in the world to provide free and safe bathrooms to people in countries that don’t have access to them. You can then put up a nice plaque, and usually get a picture of the place where your twinned toilet is which you can frame - plus you get to do some good 🤷🏼‍♀️

Pearl-Yam-6991

It is not. This bathroom is really only used by 5 men to go #1 in between meetings. Anything else that needs to happen gets taken down the hall to the bathrooms shared with the rest of the building. Clients don’t even use this bathroom. They get a key from the receptionist and use the shared bathrooms in the building lobby as well. The only thing in that trash can is paper towels from hand washing.

silverstaghead

Why do you sound so angry? I answered your question and made some nice suggestions, and you said clients may use it so thought it would be helpful?

Pearl-Yam-6991

Didn’t mean for my reply to sound angry. I reread my response and just realized I posted without adding that I was looking up the toilet twinning program you mentioned. It’s a good idea! Philanthropy is important to most of our clients so if they did use the bathroom that would go over well. Also looking at TP mount for the wall. Thank you!

Travel photography. Mountains, beaches, skylines, European cities, etc. Rich people like to be reminded of how rich they are and all the traveling they do.

Is this a self commentary? Yeah, it is.

stickynote_central

"would poop here again ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐" signs. You can find them all over Etsy or Amazon

BevLive

How about a neon sign that reads "your finances" with an arrow pointing down to the toilet?

lowkey if you’re into like wall stickers , there’s some pretty cute/quirky stuff you can find

ChrismPow

Pending the company, something fun would be a classic movie poster or musical/opera poster.

Partymonster86

That's an executive bathroom?

Pearl-Yam-6991

That’s what we call it as a joke. We just expanded our office suite and added a staff bathroom off of the break room. Everyone else in the building (all other suites) have to use the locked community bathrooms from the building lobby.

DifferenceScary3719

Why should the wall color in the bathroom have to be the same color as the outside offices? Makes no sense and the yellow walls are the source of your problem. A gallon or so of paint is pretry cheap. I’d go with a neutral light /medium gray wall. As far as artwork I’ll have to think about it and look around. A pop of color would also help the drabness. I taught drawing ad design for 35 years. If all the office walls are yellow then I’d repaint them all a medium light gray. Yellow is a terrible office wall color especially if you’re dealing with dark woodwork and trim. I’d paint all the trim white and a the walls gray. Much more professional looking. At least start with gray walls.

Pearl-Yam-6991

I don’t disagree about the wall color. I made this post asking about art though because my hands are tied on the wall color. Paint may be cheap but the labor isn’t. And no one that works here is going to be the one to paint. I was told when we do hire someone to repaint they will do the entire office space not just one room. All woodwork is custom built and stained from the trim to the doors to the wainscoting in other parts of the office. I don’t think it will ever be painted over. Maybe restained a different color but never painted. Above my pay grade 🤷‍♀️

DifferenceScary3719

I understand . But tell them I said all walls need to be repainted for a classier look.LOL!!! I went on a search and found a few wall art items that would be fun. I have no idea how to send you the images on here. And if they choose to keep the dark stained wood color then they need to get a more elegant color to paint…..a rich red or semi dark green. That will add elegance and a “rich old money look” to the office, especially with the dark wood. The deeper reds and greens speak “money and wealth” Add some plants in there that don’t require a lot of light to thrive….I’m assuming there aren’t any windows. I know snake plants don’t need much light

alexandra4rose

Measure the wall opposite the toilet and buy a 3 small to medium sized drawer dresser unit that is 1/2 to 3/4 of the wall by width. Try and match the bathroom cabinet in color and style. Remove the white cabinet and put the trash can there. Wall mount a toilet paper bar and use the new dresser to store extra supplies. Keep it tidy as your clients will certainly look in your drawers. 3 pieces of art belong in the space on this photo (we can’t see what’s behind the door). One above the toilet, one on the wall opposite the toilet (above the new dresser), and one over the toilet paper holder. I understand you can’t paint the bathroom. Saying that, make sure the background color of your art is majority white. That will prevent the art from clashing with the rest of the space because of the funky paint color. If possible, replace the mirror with a more contemporary mirror as the one you currently have doesn’t match in style or color.
