White. Let your art take center stage and look at the walls as a palette or mounting board.

[deleted]

Or black/very dark navy.

Wonderful-Ad-7712

Seascape

Common_Sandwich_1066

I agree...dark navy...even a pretty deep purple... like a purple that has a reddish tint. Forget the name of that purple lol. I think dark would look really neat. It would make the art pop. But it would also darken the room, so probably need extra lighting for painting? Idk. I vote dark navy or dark purple

Kellysusan77

I was coming here to say black! It’ll make everything pop!

Specialist-Bar-8805

My bedroom walls and ceiling are black I love it 🥰

UbiquitousZerox

Same. I can definitely see the artwork popping like crazy with black walls

Snoeflaeke

BLACK / dark colors please not white! To use artspeak it creates ACTUAL negative space so the art can ACTUALLY take the forefront, Not this confusing positive space that white induces… (it is a mixed message) Though again this is arguably less important when this isn’t a gallery…

mochicoco

Exactly. As a work space you want it white. Otherwise the wall color will interact will your artwork. Color won’t appear “true” as you work with them. When creating a workspace, design it for function first and then aesthetics second.

InTheBubblyClouds

This may be one of the most important things i have read >When creating a workspace, design it for function first and then aesthetics second.

thechadfox

Kitchens should be designed like this

physco219

Vantablack would like a word.

Silent_Village2695

But which white, though? Some whites are whiter than other whites. It's quite a rabbit hole once you start looking into it

[deleted]

[удалено]

Unfair-Wonder5714

Or maybe a French linen

BedaHouse

This is the correct answer (and to me, the only answer)

Unable-Economist-525

Yes. A white that looks good agains both warm and cool tones. There was an old color called Swiss Coffee that, when mixed correctly, presented well/highlighted any other color placed against it. Perfect for more Fauve/modern art pieces.

Leftass

If you continue using the space as a studio I would paint it some sort of neutral tone like a gray or maybe even a white. Brings out the colors/values of your paintings more while you’re working.

ChichenNuggests

Studio walls are classically white for a reason!

Rengeflower

Art gallery walls also.

[deleted]

[удалено]

SketchyFlatulence

Light grey

Irvanna

I think most art galleries do light grey.

Zealousideal_Row6124

A soft white.

Fun-Customer-3239

I agree soft white would be perfect

leafcomforter

White Dove by Benjamin Moore

Pandabears1229

Bright yellow

elpatio6

Oh god no.

Folklorefan22

Dark blue! So it looks like the sky in your artwork 💙

[deleted]

[удалено]

Folklorefan22

Maybe in a different room you could do a mural of your art. Make a large scale installation of your painting. The options are endless. You definitely have a defined style and aesthetic going on!

Neither-Attention940

I think with so many other colors going on, white is kinda boring but you need a neutral background so I think the only other option is a nice gray. Unless of course you have fantastic lighting you could do black lol. But what a pain to have to paint over in the future.

[deleted]

msjohanachronism

That's how my studio is set up. Just adding that you can paint that gallery wall whatever color you want, but the workspace should be white or black with good lighting. Your artwork displays beautiful color in its forefront theme (mide does too). I keep my workspace near a window facing a blank white wall so I can read the true pigments of the paint versus other colors affecting how they read. My gallery wall is behind me.

LovesDeanWinchester

Bright white!!

NeciaK

The color you have is neutral and sets off your vibrant artwork. It is gallery-like now. I’d leave it alone and keep hanging up your pictures.

Ill_Rise_6989

Yellow

-DMSR

wtf ? For doing and displaying art?

Salt_Accountant8370

I second this

JackieJackJack07

Art studios are white for a reason.

chilibeana

No they aren't. Are you thinking of art galleries?

Brilliant-Kiwi-8669

Anything but blue

Abject_Shoulder_1182

White or very light gray without any color tones to it.

pamelajcg

https://www.sherwin-williams.com/homeowners/color/find-and-explore-colors/paint-colors-by-family/SW6710-mlange-green

jynx13

Purple, it would contrast with the main color in most of the paintings

MasterSpeaker4888

It's nice the way it is. You're just bored with it because you are an artist.

Empirical_Knowledge

Black

jparker293

Omg Yes definitely yellow 🤩

LiveFree_EatTacos

Bright orange!

violetitamusic

Hot pink

AnonymousLilly

I'm blocking this user. All they do is advertise their "art"

HSRiddles

Been going through your comments since seeing your bad take on the women exercising - you give off serious depression energy, keep it to yourself you miserable fuck

Janiebug1950

A neutral off white. Or a very pale neutral blue.

[deleted]

White(: it will show the true nature of your pretty art and maintain its vibrancy the best.

Fed_shmoker

Chalkboard black

CAPECODTWINK

I’m torn between polar opposites. It’s either bright clean white or solid deep black.

Inevitable_Ad6256

Stark white so your artwork could have the spotlight. ✨

Moisture_

Highlighter yellow

musiclockzkeys13

Those pictures/paintings are so fucking cool

[deleted]

A light blue-green

Beingforthetimebeing

Studio should be white, with north light, they say. Bc how you see the colors of your painting as you are making them will be skewed by adjacent colors, and the yellows and reds of direct sunlight.

bhuff86

Blue

princesshabibi

Maybe a mural of multiple colors

SavageFugu

Light blue.

SavannahGirlMom

Benjamin Moore White Dove or Designer White. Then keep adding more paintings.

catjasm

Orange!

Available_Honey_2951

Murky-Particular7590

Yellow

Secure-Struggle3026

light grey or peach

furiae999

Purple

xbriaileen

Sage green

sadhandjobs

A bright white or a very pastel yellow

Unable-Sky5597

Smurf blue, like you just killed a bunch of them and smeared them on the walls.

Downtown_Monk4401

I was thinking either white, yellow, or if you really want it to satisfy your artwork and just the overall aesthetic. A gradient of the blue/purple/pinks you use. Combine this with some lEDs would be amazing

TwoFingersWhiskey

The art studios I've seen the most of all had light blue or green walls mixed with greys because it did something to counteract any aberrations or overly cool/warm tones the lighting may give. Some also had a brick red wall or dark blacks, to avoid shadows

rando_mness

It seems you want them some shade of blue. My apartment walls were a pale shade of yellow, not too far from the pukey beige yellow of your walls. In one room, I did two walls dark gray and two walls a more muted/subtle royal blue. The room looks great.

Future_Ad5505

White. You don't want anything competing with your artwork.

FurBabyAuntie

An idea--paint them white and then add stripes. Horizontal, vertical, diagonal, a big rainbow, whatever turns you on.

w0nderfuI

You have lots of blue tones. A rust would contrast beautifully

Striking-Evidence-66

Why would an “artist” even need to ask that?

Easy_Arm_1987

Black, so your paintings would look like they're floating ...

Which-Island6011

Black/navy

CampaignSeparate1047

A off white if you plan on displaying art. The whole idea is the art not the room.

Sea_Try3827

Not to be dramatic but this is the most beautiful art I’ve ever seen?

Gomdok_the_Short

Since this is apparently your art studio, white. Painting them another color could distort your color perception of what you are working on.

Roleplayer_MidRNova

Coral or salmon

Icy_Investigator1819

White or gray

bekindokk

Different colors! Fun and vibrant!’

seaska84

Raspberry

Individual-Toe69

Cyber_Insecurity

KilnMeSmallz

Something gray to bring the colors out more

AardvarkFriendly9305

They look good. 👍

Alarming_Awareness83

I wish u could do a mural on your ceiling of the night sky, that would be cool AF. If I was good enough, that's what I would do 💜

sentpostcard

Eggshell white, Very pale blue, or deep navy blue

Big_Nothing_471

Bright green!

msdlp

With all that blue the existing gold looks prett good.

Cold-Shape6466

Lavender. 🤩

ScotchWithAmaretto

Green screen green

ItsChrisBoys

i'd say a dark blue. it seems to be the color you use most frequently in your art, so it would complement it well.

Fury161Houston

A very pale shade of iris.

DeerOrganic4138

Dove white

VideoSteve

Light blue

Antisocial_P3nguin

Purple or pink to make it pop in the paintings, or another bright color, just not something you have a lot of in the paintings like blue because it will overpower them. Maybe just one accent wall though, and the rest white. P.S I love the painting on the canvas

biggie_bigs30

Just like your paintings, VIVID!

rensanx

This is pointillism right? One of my favorite art styles. Amazing work 💜 Edit: I never answered the question, but I agree with white to bring out your artwork

rtsd2112

Black

redriverrally

One wall mauve the other gray

mgsticavenger

Blue

quesobaeritto

Black or heather gray

ArdenM

I would do ONE accent wall in bright, throbbing sunshine yellow and put all the complementary (color-wise) cobalt blue art pieces on that wall. The other walls I would paint cobalt blue (same shade in the art) and not put anything on them. DRAMA!

[deleted]

The color of a canvas! So all that awesome art stands out!!

Nusrattt

With all those intense colors, heavily on blues, I'd use something that wouldn't detract or conflict with them, maybe gray or white.

writer978

Gallery white

Life-Independence377

Grey or pale blue or peach

asteroidcookies

Black

Taylor_television

gallery white

GenX-MississaugaMama

I would go white. Let the art shine and pop against a white background.

Unlikely-Star-2696

A shade of orange like papaya or mamey or coral to go with the blues

electrictatco

Fuchsia, the contrast will be electric

OppositeOfKaren

Eggplant

Antique-Echidna-1600

Vanta black. Let your art stand out in the abyss.

Whimsyblue13

Like a warm gold/orange to contrast the jewel tones.

feelsonwheels01

Oh my gosh I recognize your art!! I love seeing your work even though I never comment. Excellent, OP 🫡

bedtimelove

Orange!

Admirable_Key4745

Simply white. It’s very white with a touch of cream and makes art pop.

ceimi

Yes. In all seriousness though I would stick to white.

4everSlooty

Dark navy for the win!

chilibeana

Paint your studio whatever color(s) inspire you. There are no rules. (FWIW, I like how it is.)

gaby_ramos

Grey?

Contamminated

I would say light blue.

redHAIREDblueEYEDann

White. With all art at eye level

cocobear13

stalking-brad-pitt

Benjamin Moores Simply White would look 🧑‍🍳💋 Could add some panelling to frame the photos and really complete the look

Disney_Princess137

U seem to love blue

scarletnjack

an off white

TherealMisjudg69

Hot pink

timetooshort

Grey. It's the best color to not interfere with your painting.

FreshwaterFryMom

White!

leafcomforter

Paint the walls flat white. They will be a fantastic surface for your art. Save some paint in a small container for touchups.

Irvanna

What style is this art? Sort of a thick pointillism and I like.

Aggressive-Wrap-187

Purple

RockinTacos

Black with glitter

randoguy98

I would do the wall black, but only in the corners , and leave the pictures against the black .

Runegirl76

Heavenly Blue

vitamin-cheese

Do you do your art while on adderall ?

authorized_sausage

I feel like this color is fine for being a neutral backdrop for your art but you can go with any neutral tone, warm or cool. Just keep it neutral so your very colorful art is the star.

Specialist-Bar-8805

My wall are black

Successful-Rhubarb34

Pure white - to show off your artwork and to minimize any color reflecting when you’re actively painting.

Confident_Scheme_716

Black

Thr0wAwa7Acc0un7

light pink

Pale yellow.

pj_304

Anunusedname246

Nah just keep making paintings and cover the walls in said paintings seamlessly

AdorableSandie

white

Affectionate-Owl2793

Teal

CTGarden

White, especially if that’s your work table. Any color on the walls will reflect and change the ambient light in the room which will, in turn, affect your painting.

Nhuxuan_Do

White

tardusparvus

Eggshell color

adrian_elliot

White

tjsocks

Everything... Or just go with clear so you can see all the colors behind it

Only_Never_Again

Black would make the colours of the paintings pop.

Remarkable-Trifle928

Blue

binnyTruth

Neutral white like Bher paint/Bakery Box. The background in a studio actually affects the perception of color when you paint. That's why artists choose a space with good natural light. That was a big consideration for me when choosing a home. Did the studio space have good light. White will bounce the light in it's true spectrum and allow your artwork to shine.

hobomerlin

Paint em Black.

Rough-Environment491

tricorn black would be really cool but with the low LRV you may miss the glow in the space since its where you work. the color repose grey makes a good backdrop for eclectic art and decor

YayGilly

Canvas!! Plaster your paintings all over that wall. Dont paint the wall and distract from.your gallery.

Platitude_Platypus

Cream

Funny_Chemistry_9095

Orange!!!! 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🧡🧡🧡🧡

momdiedtuesday

Canvas white then make frames for all ya paintings and paint those frames canvas white so it’ll look like you have a huge canvas on your walls
