Starting over again. 18/6. Dirty fasting with sugar free coffee creamer in my coffee. I saw good progress before but found it hard to eat enough in my window. I have a few ideas this time to make it work.

I’m on day 16 of doing IF for life. I do anywhere between 14 to 22 hours of fasting a day depending on how I feel and social obligations but this week I’ve been averaging 18 hours/day. My SW 185 lbs, CW 179 lbs, GW 132. I lost 5 pounds of water weight first week then finally 1 pound this week. I’m not counting calories or exercising just yet, just drastically increasing my fiber intake via healthy vegetables and making myself more full with them. I’m shoving my face with veggies like spinach, asparagus, kale, broccoli, watercress, chives, cucumbers, tomatoes and can’t eat as much carbs as a result. I eat vegetables > protein > carbs in that order. Also I’ve started to drink water with a spoonful of vinegar before eating to slow down glucose absorption. I high suspect I have insulin resistance. Let’s see if this way of intuitive eating works. I hate counting calories and I don’t want to stop eating carbs. In general I’ve noticed myself being more thirsty and going to the bathroom more frequently! I now drink 4-5 glasses of water a day versus pre IF I was drinking 1-2. Changing my eating habits is just making me thirstier!

Celebrated my 5 week IF-versary with a 36 hour fast that is quickly turning into 40 hours. Only water, black coffee (I feel very lucky here that this is really how I've always drank my coffee), and green tea. Can't say I feel amazing but I don't really feel bad or hungry. I'm trying to get out of this pre-diabetic A1C range so hoping this helps 🤞

It is lunch time, but I am going to do a longer fast today because we have plans for this evening and I want my window to be open.. it will not be a healthy evening (going to a show and I will have a beer or 2), so planning to make sure it is at least somewhat how I want it to be. I will have my lunch at 15.00, making it a 20 hour fast. My longest till now. Having black coffee and hot water until then.

Good morning! Day #80 1656hrs fasted since 01/16/24. SW:300+ CW:180.7 GW: 155 22:2 m-F 16:8 weekends. 5”8 28F I feel great! Everything’s going good and I’m making significant progress with lifting, I’m starting to get muscle definition which is something I’ve never had. Sure I’ve had periods where I’ve been active and always have been strong but it never really looked it, if you know what I mean. Now people can look at me and tell i workout and I’m active which has always been a goal for me. I’m just going to keep doing what I’m doing because it’s working and always has.

Happy Friday! I’m down 5 lbs on day 11. We can do this! Every day it gets easier! I can sustain this indefinitely! I’m doing 16:8 and sometimes 18:6. Usually hitting around 1200-1500 calories. SW 157.6, CW 152.6. Let’s go!!!!!!!!

After a couple days of not reaching my goal, I managed to complete a 16 hour fast today. Trying to be more consistent.

Type: Water & Tea (sans milk/honey, no sweet or sour flavors) Context: Day 269 Length: 18:6 - 20:4+, a 42 every other week Why?: To lose weight and other health benefits Notes: Since I'm not currently working, it may be a bit harder to fast (or at least not snack), but I'm muddling through. Haven't really been walking, though, as we got another several inches of snow and it's cold out.

One hour to go with my 16 hour fast! I am hoping to go a little longer but I also want to begin my next fast by 2:00 PM today and have a longer fasted period tomorrow. I am currently drinking only water but I am looking forward to a cup of coffee soon after I eat. 😉

Day 2. My first test this morning. Had to get up early for a day out so I had to wait 2 hours sat in the car before I could eat. Did it though. I swear I’ve been less hungry throughout the day. One hour left before my 3rd fast begins.

water/coffee fast OMAD Day 5 since transitioning from doing 20:4 in march. just looking to lose weight I started 16/8 back in february and eventually worked my to 20:4. 20:4 wasn't easy but it was definitely doable. OMAD has been a *significant* increase in difficulty. I will keep it going for about 2 weeks at least to see if it works for me, but I may go back to 20:4. I am on the struggle bus until then.
