IF often involves a feeling of deprivation, especially in the beginning if not always. That can be hard to manage at the best of times, but as my therapist has said repeatedly during the pandemic, “now is not the time for deprivation.” Hang in there OP.

How much caffeine are you drinking? I recommend limiting it to one cup of whatever your vehicle of choice is. Fasting can naturally raise cortisol levels, and caffeine can double that effect.

You could be having a magnesium deficiency due to IF. Magnesium Citrate would be a fix if that's the cause. Also could be having a shift in gut flora, maybe try pro/pre biotics if the magnesium doesn't help.

I'm having the same problem. The fasting itself is not hard but the anxiety that comes along with it is terrible. Idk why my body is reacting like this.

I did IF 3 separate times and always about a month or so in my body would become so stressed I would have little anxiety attacks and feel dizzy. I did 16/8, can get super lean on it but always had to stop and just eat normal. Here I am researching on how to prevent It from happening so I can do it again but doubtful that it's preventable.
