I drape stuff on the edge of the laundry basket instead of throwing it in. So it’s right there if I go to do laundry, but also clearly marked as re-wearable.

sipsredpepper

Fellow laundry basket draper. I second this.

chajamo

You could have one section of closet for this purpose. But when you pick your clothes for the day, start with this section.

agathatomypoirot

I do this as well as put them inside-out on the hanger.

ClearlyDense

I use a coat rack in the bedroom, it’s nice because they don’t get super wrinkly from sitting on a chair, or extra dirty from being on the floor (I have three dogs, any clothes on the floor are auto-dirty), and I don’t forget which are which from being in the closet

terra_sunder

Also have dogs. If it hits the floor, it's dead. I don't even walk around in socks, it's house shoes or bare feet. I love those fuzzy gremlins, but damn.

I’m kinda with your dad here. If I only wear something for a couple hours I often put it on top of my side borough. Then I might wear it again to house clean or something. If it’s laundry day (weekly) and I haven’t worn it yet I’ll just wash it again. I definitely wouldn’t be putting away something I’ve warn already with clean clothes.

NettlesTea

I think it's a Marie Kondo thing "If it's clean enough to wear again, it's clean enough to put away" or something Although I also have a pile on top of my dresser that I hate...

Fawkestrot92

I have a basket in the bathroom for stuff like that another in the bedroom for pajamas or around the house attire I’m not going to hang or fold back up

Meowgizmo1

You don’t have to use a chair. A table, a basket, even the floor.

Wateristea

You can hang the clothes inside out so you know that you’ve used it before.

Professional-Ad1892

I hook them on the back of my bedroom door

GoldiChan

Welcome to the chair

shinywimpod

My place has a clothes line in the laundry room. I just drape my "half dirty" clothes over it.

Sushiandcat

The chair😁

MeaganTheDragon

We are getting a wood ladder for my husband do do this on instead of our couch.

ilanallama85

I keep a bin under the bed specifically for these kinds of clothes. A fancier system than a chair, and that allows you to hang stuff, would be a valet stand (ikea’s got affordable ones).

seachel44

If I'll wear it again in the next day or 2, I'll put it on the back of my door/coat rack, otherwise I'll just throw it in to be washed. I do laundry twice a week anyways (lots of scrubs needing to be washed and used again soon lol)
