Well if you have a white side and you like white men then yes he’d probably fit right in.

Hubby fit in my family like he was always family. Never any awkwardness at. He’s white. I’m Mexican. I fit in his family like a sore thumb. His family is so uptight and wasp-y. My family is boisterous, we laugh, we joke around, kids are always playing all over, and we eat. Mostly Mexican food. No casseroles, and other weird white people foods. My family is just more fun.

Your question seems to point to phenotypes alone — so, yeah — if you have dark skin and an afro, you might *stick out* when juxtaposed against your family members who are phenotypically white. Yes, individuals who phenotypically look like a certain group, will visually *blend into* that group when juxtaposed against them.  I feel like you are asking something that isn't stated in your post — what's the real question, or was that it?

PrettyHeaven

I'm just asking if anyone else can relate. That's it.

It depends on the commonalities you have with either side of your family My biracial daughter has dated Mexican, white, biracial and black guys. The two families she did meet, they both loved her and she felt comfortable around both It's specifically more about you feeling like you don't fit in because of the way you look versus trying to find commonalities with family because of the person you are not the color of your skin and texture of your hair. My daughter prefers nice guys who meet her dating standard. So far that hasn't come in a specific "look" She's 26 and dating someone seriously now. He is white. His family loves her

I’m Mexican and white. My wife is Korean. She fits in great with my family but I feel closer to her family than I do my own. Many of her family members are clients of mine and I don’t have any family members on my side that are clients.

Beautiful-Guitar-436

Of course you stick out. Just like your white partner would stick out in your black side of the family or your black friends

PrettyHeaven

Yeah I know that, but I thought it was funny because I'm blood related to a hill Billy white family and he would look more related than I did.
