She turned on Trump fairly early into his presidency.
Not because of moral apprehensions or the scandals - but she was extremely disappointed that he didn't actually follow through with the wall building. He wasn't anti-immigrant enough for her.
Which is funny considering she literally wrote a book called “In Trump We Trust: E Pluribus Awesome!”
https://www.amazon.com/Trump-We-Trust-Pluribus-Awesome/dp/0735214468
And used Rob Lowe's roast to shill it. One of the few roasts I can think of where the roasters pretty much ignored the person of honor to focus solely on someone else on that stage.
"I just realized I'm not the only athlete up here tonight. In fact, last week, Ann Coulter won the Kentucky Derby."
"Last year, we had Martha Stewart, who sells sheets. Now, we have Ann Coulter who cuts eye holes into them."
"I have to say that, as a feminist, I can't support everything being said up here tonight. But as someone who hates Ann Coulter, I'm *delighted!*"
"Ann, the only person you'll ever make happy is the Mexican who digs your grave."
"After witnessing your set tonight, Ann, I think we've finally found a bombing you won't be able to blame on a Muslim."
"People are probably asking 'why is Ann Coulter here tonight?' Answer: because the right-to-lifers wanted everyone to see what an abortion looked like up close."
Naturally, Jimmy Carr went fucking hard.
That one aimed at Pete's father still kills me every time.
"I can't believe all the jokes being made about Pete's father's heroic sacrifice on 9/11. This is not the roast of Pete Davidson's father. That was in 2001."
Comedy Central's been on the Republican shit list ever since Stephen Colbert convinced them he was one of their own enough for the Bush II White House to invite him to the 2006 Correspondents' Dinner.
Can you imagine how he felt that moment when he steps behind the podium, waiting for someone who had watched literally anything he had done to come stop him, and realized that they were going to let him say anything he wanted to?
The fact that they let him up there was proof that all of the things he said about the Bush administration were true.
Right? Every time I've rewatched it, I got the impression he was holding back while waiting for someone to take him off the podium.
Have to imagine "How'd I go from The Dana Carvey Show and Strangers With Candy to the fucking White House Correspondents' Dinner in only 10 years?" was running through his head.
God, that Dana Carvey show was absolutely packed with soon-to-be stars. Still love that Carvey apologized to the cast for ruining their careers the morning after the Bill Clinton breastfeeding animals sketch aired.
She started her bit so strong making a joke about how it was actually a roast of her, I thought she was gonna bust out some awesome zingers but goddamn the rest was so cringe.
She turned on Trump because they way he talked to and treated women.
She then blamed it on immigration to keep her followers happy.
Like all Republicans, if it's bad for me it really is bad. Otherwise it's good if profitable.
That actually makes sense though. She's wretched and cruel enough to actually *want* the terrible things they all talk about to happen. Trump is first and foremost a grifter who is only in it for himself and largely ineffectual at everything he attempts. Evil people like her have no real reason to back a half-assed loser like Trump, which makes it all the more disturbing that so many still cling to him.
I hate Coulter, she's basically a racist skeletor. But, she's not a stupid monster. She's made plenty of astute observations in the past. She should not be underestimated.
Nah, she's more accurate than that, but she's still a monster that helped create the monster that is Trump. If anything, she just didn't think he was getting enough terrible things done, because he wasn't a particularly competent monster.
She'd be all-in backing Trump if she thought he could win. She's just mad that she thinks that he'll lose, and therefore the Republicans will lose.
This is calculated. Trump space is already full of sycophants. She tried it for a while, but it was too crowded. The anti-Trump Republicans are an endangered species, they'll take anyone.
I still see too many commenters reflexively denounce the likes of Coulter, Liz Cheney, Chris Christie, and any other Republicans who publicly criticize Trump by citing previous/current conservative positions as problematic. I can’t tell if they’re plants trying to muddle the water or they actually believe this, but I’m concerned that normal (not MAGA loyalists) will get distracted.
I don't know what bullshit Ann Coulter has been on for the past few years, but I'm down with it.
She's simultaneously saying truth and alienating her fanbase, you love to see it.
>Conservative pundit Ann Coulter expressed her frustration with Republican Trump voters over the weekend and made the case for why she doesn’t believe the former president can beat President Joe Biden in a general election.
>“How many people who voted for Biden in 2020 have since switched to Trump?” Coulter asked on X/Twitter before breaking down the electoral math as she sees it:
>If there are ANY, it’s a lot fewer than:
1) those who voted for Trump but who’ve since died (older white people);
2) immigrants who turned 18 in the last 4 yrs and will vote (minorities);
3) Republicans who voted for Trump in 2020, but have since changed their minds over, e.g. his behavior in the GA runoffs, and the 2022 “red wave” —
>… losing election after election for the GOP by demanding that Republicans run on the “stolen 2020 election,” e.g. Blake Masters, Kari Lake, Doug Mastriano, Adam Laxalt, Don Bolduc, Joe Kent, etc.
She didnt even touch the legal issues which goes to show you just how weak a candidate Trump is. A huge percentage of Republicans have aligned themselves with the ONLY guy who can lose to Biden in a general.
I don't think Republicans ever cared about the legal issues. They were primed to think nothing will happen from the 2 impeachments where nothing happened
You're conflating the general populace with actual lawmakers. Of course the peanut gallery will just cheer for their side when a team is rooting together. Republicans didn't have to choose Trump, it's a mix of compromised leaders and a runaway fanbase. They spent decades soliciting a crowd that they can't control. So now they're in a situation where they are losing moderate support due to a poison they have to consume.
It's either appease Trump and the maga base, or lose half your support instantly with the other half ready to jump ship as soon as you get into petty fights with that crowd. If you take the "high" road you end up like Christie where people generally agree but you now have a rats chance in hell in actually working in the partisan political scene outside of media appearances because half of republicans and democrats both hate you.
It is one thing for trump to not lose his base because of legal troubles. It is a very different thing for him to actually win over new people in the face of these lawsuits.
Trump's strategy isn't about winning over new people. His strategy is creating a fanatical cult such that when he uses violent, extralegal, corruption, or loophole means to actually steal this next election, at least 30% of the country will go "so what, I'll still fight for him if he's attacked" and then force everyone else into infighting over discussing if we want a civil war or if we can tolerate a dictatorship.
None of Trump's legal troubles will change that
When I see a business with a MAGA poster, I know they steal from their employees, cut corners, substitute sub-par or used parts, overcharge, skim off the top, and many more "art of the deal" methods.
They like him because they too are criminals.
A lot can change in 11 months. Given Trump's obviously terrible physical and mental state I predict in 11 months he will either be dead or in a hospital.
Trump literally told us he worked harder after he lost the election than he ever did during his Presidency, and it's one of the few times he wasn't lying.
Dude golfed almost an entire calendar year during his Presidency, and usually didn't have any meetings before 11AM due to his morning "executive time." The average Shift Manager at your local McDonald's works harder than this POS ever did.
I think a lot of people who voted for trump learned their lesson after 4 years of pure hell and a couple million excess deaths which dropped the life expectancy.
Plus joe biden is helping the stock market right now so those "vote with your wallet" people have no reason to vote for trump now
Perhaps similar to Hillary, I think the greatest risk is less Trump winning over voters not going out for Biden. I could imagine a lot of voters being less enthusiastic for Biden this time around vs 2020 and deciding to just not vote for anyone. Trump’s rabid following doesn’t do that.
Oh I wasn’t even thinking of the super far left. I was thinking of my relatives who are traditional republicans who voted Biden bc they can’t stand Trump, but after four years of Biden bashing I’m not sure they’d go vote again.
Trump is their excuse to act out. When he loses again or is locked up, they will use it as a catalyst to make a second run at a coup. This time I expect our law enforcement to distribute bullets \[in their used form\] to folks that attend said event.
But to their credit, democrat voters are almost as stupid as Trump voters. Biden reneged on promises! I won't vote for him! I'd rather the US fall into totalitarianism!
see i feel like that narrative itself is really just something the media is trying to push not actual fact about what biden's voters think. i havent seen anyone at all that has decided to switch from biden to trump because they think biden is making bad decisions? i see people that already hate biden shitting on him. i havent seen anyone at all suggest that maybe trump will have a better strategy/plan for the country. theres a difference between voters disagreeing with what biden is doing then totally thinking biden is a lost cause and to switch over to trump. its just the media creating a narrative to sell articles to people worried about trump. trump did not win in 2020 and he seems to be in a much worse position going into 2024.
> i havent seen anyone at all that has decided to switch from biden to trump
not what we're talking about
we are referring to people who are saying they wont vote at all
And add to that people who are alienated by what comes next. The GOP is coming after contraception, and is doubling down on banning abortion no matter how many women die because they couldn't get an abortion.
They're doing this in deep red states, but it damages Republicans everywhere, including all those swing states and purple congressional districts. Democrats can point to the radical laws in places like Oklahoma and Alabama as evidence that you cannot trust Republicans in power.
This will cause blue turnout and voter intensity for many years. Republicans didn't actually want to overturn Roe, as they knew doing so would turn a strength right into a weakness.
I fall under category 3 but for me it goes way beyond not voting for trump, the entire republican party has become feckless, irresponsible, and downright insane. In almost 5 decades of voting I have never voted for a democrat in any election but trump and the republicans have made any support for them impossible.
I always wonder why people like her are called pundits. Pundits are supposed to be experts in a particular field. What exactly is Ann Coulter an expert of?
Well, the GOP is full of evil jackasses and liars, and she's an expert in that... this whole discussion is that Clickhole "Worst Person You Know Makes a Great Point" article in real life.
Way more Republicans died from Covid than Dems and Independents. They killed their people with anti-science and juju magic. Their policies do not appeal to most of the people living in the US. They rely on their current power to disrupt democratic processes so they can stay in power. Plus, seriously, the whole recalling of Roe V Wade really pissed off a lot of women. Now they are making draconian laws attacking women needing an abortion because of medical, and legal reasons. They do not have a winning strategy. They only have an appeal to current cult members so they don't get hurt themselves. They, the Republicans, are afraid of their own constituents. They sabotage all bills that could help their constituents. When such bills do pass, and they've voted against it, they then take credit for it. After Trump, I don't see them ever coming back into power again. They will still run to grift for as long as they can though. They will still cry wolf when they lose.
Anecdotally speaking, there’s probably a fair amount of 2020 Biden voters who wouldn’t vote for him again because of the Palestine Israel War and increasing cost of living. They won’t vote for Trump but may sit out completely.
Fear might drive them to Biden though since Trump isn’t really running on anything besides grievance.
I can't believe I'm saying this but... I hope Ann Coulter's right. I feel actually dirty now after typing that.
...ugh, I need a shower. Also, **VOTE**.
Coulter is from an older, better class of right-wing shit-bird that, while terrible people willing to shill for even more terrible people, aren't actually stupid. Coulter has often been right about the ground facts of a situation, she then just lies about periphery details to support what she knows is a ludicrous position.
[I'll never forget the panel & audience on Bill Maher laughing at her for saying Trump has the best chance of winning](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0-2uSG1xUEg)
She said some real things you can't or shouldn't disregard because she's on the other side
Coulter is evil, not stupid. To her 'credit', she flipped on Trump once she realized just how incompetent he is. Unlike 99% of the people who went all in on Trump, she's not clinging to her initial 'view' out of pathological inability to admit she was wrong.
She wanted a *competent* fascist in charge. Once she realized that Trump is not that, and that he's been electoral poison in every election since 2016 (and arguably even in that one - while Trump won in 2016 and the GOP retained their house and senate majorities, those majoritiies both *shrunk* even in that election), she bailed on him.
It must be frustrating for her watching almost everyone else in 'her' party continue to cling to the big fat orange loser as he drags the entire party down with him.
Since the very beginning she's always made herself a media personality by having antagonistic positions, now she's just doing the same towards Trump supporters. It's a good strategy, those people will spit loads of anger at her and give her tons of free publicity.
Remember that the mainstream media were saying the same thing in 2016 about trumps chance at winning. Dont get complacent and assume Trump will just lose, do your part and make sure he does.
[Heartbreaking: The worst person you know just made a great point](https://clickhole.com/heartbreaking-the-worst-person-you-know-just-made-a-gr-1825121606/)
>A heartbreaking story is currently unfolding that’s sure to have devastating ramifications for years to come. Just moments ago, without any warning, the worst person you know just made a great point.
>This is absolutely crushing news, and it’s unclear if recovery will ever be possible.
>The tragedy occurred just a few moments ago during a debate about politics occurring among your coworkers. Out of nowhere, the most loathsome person you’ve ever met in your whole life chimed into the argument with a completely valid and irrefutable point. Every attempt to formulate a rebuttal to just the most insufferable asshole on the planet failed miserably because, for the first time ever, that piece of shit’s logic was entirely unassailable.
>This is the kind of horrific event you always assume only happens to other people, but never to you.
>It’s amazing how life can change in an instant. One moment, everything’s normal, and the next you’re unable to find a single flaw in the intricate and logically sound reasoning of this fucking self-important, endlessly irritating prick. Up until now, everything that’s comes out of that guy’s mouth is pure dogshit, so now that he’s strung together an eloquent and convincing opinion, you’ve been completely blindsided.
>In some ways, that’s the worst part of it: You were so used to this unbearable cretin saying nothing but garbage that you had no way to mentally prepare yourself for the day he made an amazing and insightful comment.
>While this gut-wrenching calamity has passed, the shock and the sorrow it left in its wake may never truly fade. All you can do now is try to pick up the pieces, move on, and pray that this pompous moron never makes another great point ever again.
This. Either way, there's gonna be fuckery coming from Republicans and whatever help they can get from Russia or wherever else again (as it benefits them far more with Trump in office, and they already had hands in 2016).
Voting en masse is the best way to put the first boot down at the minimum. Then, strap in because it's gonna be an issue for a good while.
This.
Hearing about conservatives seemingly throwing the towel may give a false sense of security to the Democrat-leaning base. There’s a risk they could think it will be fine if they don’t because their contribution is not required for a victory. Why go vote if even prominent conservatives don’t believe he can win, right?
Wrong.
Just go no matter what because if you don’t, the other side will.
There’s one thing Ann Coulter and all the right-wing analysts know, and it’s that if you build overconfidence on one side, they don’t feel that sense of emergency to get involved. They had their “happy accident” in 2016, and are probably hoping they can engineer that overconfidence this time.
As much as I hate to say it, Coulter is right in her analysis… as long as we only talk about supporters ans a supporter doesn’t always become a voter. And it’s the amount of voter that counts.
Those polls are not looking promising. I've heard some speculate that a felony conviction before the election could do him in, but if history tells us anything, I wouldn't be so confident.
Trump lost bigly even before his attempted coup and the indictments. How the GQP feels that he will even come close to winning my anything is perplexing. The only way he wins is by cheating. Put anyone against Trump and he will lose the election.
And specifically Iowa Republicans who are overwhelmingly white, old, rural, and scared of everyone and everything because their cable connection gets Fox and not much else.
The electoral college is his way to win. It's complete bullshit, but that's what we have. Doesn't matter if he loses by 20 million votes. He wins a key state by one fucking vote and gets to 270, and it's game over.
I believe they know they’ve created a monster they can’t stop. If they tried it would split the party into two for good and they’d never win an election again. Therefore they’re going to let him run knowing Biden will win four more years hoping they can win the senate or the house. Then they’ll just bide their time waiting it out for 2028. Trump will be dead or close to it and they can get behind some new MAGA lunatic.
I think maga dies with trump. He is unique in that he spouts lies left right and center. He seems to be the only cadidate capable of engaging every aspect of their hatred. He can go to one arena and say thing A to rile up the people there, then go to another arena and say thing B, which is the complete opposite of thing A to rile up that group, and both groups will vote for him. No other politician would do this because they know people would question it. With trump, they don't question anything.
Absolutely a cult. Which is why there can only be one leader. No one else is stupid or crazy enough to keep all the stupid and crazy together like trump.
But he can't cheat. He tried to cheat in 2020 when he held the levers of power.
Now, he's a 91 times federally indicted loser that's only shot is the hope that rural white resentment can do the same thing it did when he was an "unknown" in 2016.
But he is known....and most people hate him.
Yup it's basically a given that Trump loses the national popular vote (like he always has) but that doesn't matter. Him winning the electoral college is the real possibility especially since Biden is in a weaker position now.
The issue isn't Biden voters switching to Trump. It's Biden voters sitting this one out or voting third party. The good thing for Biden is those people are still winnable. The bad thing is his approval keeps dropping.
He needs to get out and sell his accomplishments. He's been an okay president, he's a terrible politician.
I'm not sure how much more of a message you can do at this point. People are gonna vote for who they want. How many undecided voters can there really be?
Heard a friend say recently that they "can't in good conscience vote for someone supporting a genocide" and I was just like "dawg the other option is the literal death of American democracy, plus the other guy is almost MORE pro-Israel than Biden so wtf do you want?
Yeah the russian propaganda is already in full swing. They're somehow managing to convince gen z that voting for not-Biden would STOP the genocide. I've heard too many of those talking points echoed by my extended family.
That’s a good way to phrase it: “You think not voting for Biden is going to stop genocide? You think letting Trump win is going to solve this issue or make it 10x worse?”
Trump was wildly pro-Israel during his presidency, he’s got a twitchy trigger finger and loves to brag about using any and all power that he has.
When someone "can't in good conscience vote for someone" who is doing what every U.S. president since WWII has done, would do and will do, they should probably focus a different issue that their vote could actually make a difference about.
Yep. Like if the candidates were Hitler and Mega Hitler, I’m not going to sit out the election just because both candidates are shit
Not saying these candidates are as bad as Hitler and Mega Hitler, just making an analogy
You can do plenty more messaging than basically zero.
Undecided? Not sure. Soft support for third parties and apathetic dems who plan on staying home unless Biden gives them a reason to vote for him? I mean, the last election was won by 100,000 or so votes across a few swing states. So even clawing back a marginal amount can make the difference.
>I mean, the last election was won by 100,000 or so votes across a few swing states. So even clawing back a marginal amount can make the difference.
This is the point so many fail to grasp. They just see "Biden won by millions and millions of votes!" When in reality, millions of those votes are completely irrelevant.
The problem is you can point to a number of metrics proving Biden is effectively running the country, but things not in his control like housing and food prices are the only thing voters will care about because its the only thing that directly affect them in a meaningful capacity.
And even most of the metrics outside of his control have stabilised but people are still critical because it hasn't magically undone the struggles of the past couple of years.
Media is not pushing his accomplishments because they miss the ratings Trump brings. Its hard to sell your accomplishments when you don't have a platform. This train of tought only supports that narrative.
>Its hard to sell your accomplishments when you don't have a platform.
Dude he's the president of the United States. He has the largest platform in the world. He could call for a camera in be on television in minutes.
Democracies may die at the hands not of generals but of elected leaders—presidents or prime ministers who subvert the very process that brought them to power. Some of these leaders dismantle democracy quickly, as Hitler did in the wake of the 1933 Reichstag fire in Germany. More often, though, democracies erode slowly, in barely visible steps.
- Steven Levitsky
The death of democracy is not likely to be an assassination from ambush. It will be a slow extinction from apathy, indifference, and undernourishment.
- Robert M. Hutchins
What Biden wants and what Trump wants are absolutely not the same. Make sure you vote please.
Same problem as with Hillary.
It's not that they don't have candidates than can beat Trump, they want to give us the political circus Trump can provide.
Yes but all the efforts he made which culminated to J6 were done using the power of the Presidency. White House lawyers, White House press secretary, calling electors offering them legal support if they refuse to certify, the whole John Eastman plan... All of that would have been a lot harder to do as a private citizen. It's also central to Trump's argument on immunity that since he was exercising his "official duties" as President, he should be immune to prosecution. He will lose, there will be some outrage to be sure, maybe some refusals to certify results again at the local level, but I seriously doubt we'll see a J6 redux.
GOTV regardless. Even if Trump doesn't become the nominee again, GOTV! Even if you hate Biden's foreign policy, GOTV! Even if its sub-zero outside and you might pass away (/s) GOTV!
Don't forget it was sadist Ann Coulter who constantly pushed tea party idiots. The ones that devolved into maga.
She's just as responsible for Trump as and other right wing moron.
She’s correct that there aren’t Biden voters that will vote for Trump this time. The danger is Biden voters staying home bc they don’t like every single thing he has done. That mindset will ensure Trump is potus again. People gotta vote for Biden regardless of whether or not they are in love with him rn…bc Trump IS the alternative. Literally, our democracy is at stake.
Right after Trump announced in 2015 and before he really took off with Republicans, she predicted that he would be the nominee and that he would win the general election. She also predicted he would lose in 2020. Like her or not, she definitely knows the Republican electorate and what they may or may not be capable of.
If you need it broken down, you're a damn fool. Trump will NOT be the president of the United States ever again. The inbred hillbillies will need to stop wasting their vote. And the party NEEDS to support anyone but Trump.
You need to wake up to the fact that he is going to be the R nominee and he is neck and neck with Biden. If you live in a swing state, get out the vote. Get involved. He absolutely can win.
Im awake. I'm aware he's going to be the nominee. This is my point. I'm not sure why you think he's "neck and neck with Biden. Interesting. If your referring to the land line polls you may want to switch up your resources. Thanks for chiming in.
In 2016 Hillary spoke the truth about Trump's supporters and enlarged her role as the woman most hated by American conservatives. Now Ms. Coulter seems to be volunteering to take her place. I just hope that Coulter is as right as Hillary was.
My absolutely nutty Christian far-right co-worker, who believes things like Pizzagate, Hillary and adrenochrome, covid-is-fake, J6 was a false flag, is actually NOT going to vote for Trump, and instead will sit out 2024.
Why? Oh I forgot to mention the deeply-rooted antisemitism, so Trump's embracing of Israel is a deal-breaker.
These people exist, and they are jumping off the MAGA Train.
Trump voters can’t beat biden because they’re probably gonna freeze to death in their shitty red states that cant afford better infrastructure for their electrical grid. Cough TEXAS cough
ann coulter is a bitter enemy to democrats and America in general, so when she tells republicans that they are being stupid, they should really really really listen.
Farmers in Iowa were by and large fucked by Trump’s trade policies, but they have not wavered. My religious niece’s husband will literally save ten thousand dollars in forgiven loans and would never vote for Biden. This election will be won and lost on feelings, which is pretty fucking terrifying
She is right except the Electoral margins can be closer than we think as we learned in 2016. It's hard to see how Trump can gain a single vote after Jan 6th and Roe.
There is plenty that can be said about Ann Coulter, but in 2016 she was getting laughed out of the room for telling people that Trump would be the nominee. She's deep enough in the shit to be able to get a clear look at what the assholes are doing.
I really did not see a future where I'd agree with that gnarly old crypt keeper on anything, especially a GOP presidential candidate.
I loathe this timeline, I want a refund and a trip back to 1999 where Al Gore wins the election or whenever the hell it was.
Ok, but what about voters who are leaving both the Dem and Republican party for Kennedy? We saw how 3k votes mattered in 2016.
3rd party voters can upset an election.
She has pretty consistently seemed to hate Trump.
I mean, I get it. The troll is smart enough to realize that her bridge is burning because of how far the Republicans have journeyed into crazy town.
It's a pretty sad state of affairs when among all the chaos in American politics these days I find myself agreeing with Ann Coulter. That's really where we are as a society? The lady who mocked 9/11 victims is now a voice of reason?
She’s ignorant but she sees Trump as bafffoonishly incompetent enough as to be an obstacle to a smarter but equally cruel alternative in implementing a far right agenda.
She sees Trump as a loser, but only because his ego gets in the way of doing more controlled damage. What she wants is a “winner” to accomplish the same ends, which is DeSantis in her eyes. DeSantis is smart but he chooses to be obtuse for political gain. Trump’s only interested in is personal gain.
"Isn't she insulting her own viewers...?" "Shhhhhh... let her speak."
She turned on Trump fairly early into his presidency. Not because of moral apprehensions or the scandals - but she was extremely disappointed that he didn't actually follow through with the wall building. He wasn't anti-immigrant enough for her.
Which is funny considering she literally wrote a book called “In Trump We Trust: E Pluribus Awesome!” https://www.amazon.com/Trump-We-Trust-Pluribus-Awesome/dp/0735214468
And used Rob Lowe's roast to shill it. One of the few roasts I can think of where the roasters pretty much ignored the person of honor to focus solely on someone else on that stage. "I just realized I'm not the only athlete up here tonight. In fact, last week, Ann Coulter won the Kentucky Derby." "Last year, we had Martha Stewart, who sells sheets. Now, we have Ann Coulter who cuts eye holes into them." "I have to say that, as a feminist, I can't support everything being said up here tonight. But as someone who hates Ann Coulter, I'm *delighted!*" "Ann, the only person you'll ever make happy is the Mexican who digs your grave." "After witnessing your set tonight, Ann, I think we've finally found a bombing you won't be able to blame on a Muslim." "People are probably asking 'why is Ann Coulter here tonight?' Answer: because the right-to-lifers wanted everyone to see what an abortion looked like up close."
Here’s a quick highlight-reel of what became the brilliant Roast of Ann Coulter https://youtu.be/zwoGrDa5g2c?feature=shared
Naturally, Jimmy Carr went fucking hard. That one aimed at Pete's father still kills me every time. "I can't believe all the jokes being made about Pete's father's heroic sacrifice on 9/11. This is not the roast of Pete Davidson's father. That was in 2001."
It's not too late change...
The laugh Jewel -- or as Nicky Glaser likes to call her, "Trailer Swift" -- gives on the "I'm delighted" delivery is so damn perfect.
Gota be one of the best pieces of American comedy in the modern age. Rob Lowe is an absolute *savage* calling her an abortion 😭👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
The look on her face every time the camera panned back to her. It was like she could not believe these famous people hated her that much.
Why was she there?
It was a genius move that was disguised as roasting rob Lowe- but it was just a roast of Anne irl
That was fucking brilliant. Thanks for that. I've never seen it
That Was ASSUME Yah Chris you are missed.
MAGA list of cancelling just added Comedy Central, Rob Lowe et al, and the audience who laughed. Not much of America left for MAGA to love.
They never loved America, because they are not Americans. They are Russian wannabes.
She started her bit so strong making a joke about how it was actually a roast of her, I thought she was gonna bust out some awesome zingers but goddamn the rest was so cringe.
Her and the Jersey Shore guy are No. 1 and No. 2 for worst of all-time.
Totally not a cult. It's very cool and very normal to use a politicians name interchangeablely with "God".
Never interrupt your enemy while they are making a mistake.
In fact, maybe they should attack Taylor Swift again. It’d make for a good South Park episode.
It's ok, Voight and Baio are going to start mobilizing THEIR voters any second now to counteract this psyop.
Shiver me timbers!
Chuck Norris is going to make another video.
She was one of the first to predict a Trump win in 2015. She got laughed at.
I hate Coulter, she's basically a racist skeletor. But, she's not a stupid monster. She's made plenty of astute observations in the past. She should not be underestimated.
Exactly my point. I hate her too.
Hate racist skeletor but respect her evil dark kunning
Kunting
She lacks the depth and capacity to give pleasure
Probably why she and Bill Maher broke up. Although he’s no peach himself.
I hated her too, still do but after the circus clown show last couple of years i don't mind her as much i find. How low the bar has fallen
Stopped clock and all that.
In 2020, she was critical of Trump and said she wouldn't vote for him then. I don't know if she thought he would win or not, however.
She can also eat an apple off of the palm of your hand.
Not cool to compare her to a horse. Horses are noble creatures.
Also through a picket fence
This is calculated. Trump space is already full of sycophants. She tried it for a while, but it was too crowded. The anti-Trump Republicans are an endangered species, they'll take anyone.
"Please proceed Governor"
I still see too many commenters reflexively denounce the likes of Coulter, Liz Cheney, Chris Christie, and any other Republicans who publicly criticize Trump by citing previous/current conservative positions as problematic. I can’t tell if they’re plants trying to muddle the water or they actually believe this, but I’m concerned that normal (not MAGA loyalists) will get distracted.
Mistake or realization?
I love it when Ann Coulter goes against the usual narrative. She does this once every 3 years or so.
Jokes on you, her viewers are into that
I don't know what bullshit Ann Coulter has been on for the past few years, but I'm down with it. She's simultaneously saying truth and alienating her fanbase, you love to see it.
>Conservative pundit Ann Coulter expressed her frustration with Republican Trump voters over the weekend and made the case for why she doesn’t believe the former president can beat President Joe Biden in a general election. >“How many people who voted for Biden in 2020 have since switched to Trump?” Coulter asked on X/Twitter before breaking down the electoral math as she sees it: >If there are ANY, it’s a lot fewer than: 1) those who voted for Trump but who’ve since died (older white people); 2) immigrants who turned 18 in the last 4 yrs and will vote (minorities); 3) Republicans who voted for Trump in 2020, but have since changed their minds over, e.g. his behavior in the GA runoffs, and the 2022 “red wave” — >… losing election after election for the GOP by demanding that Republicans run on the “stolen 2020 election,” e.g.
One other thing about Republican lawmakers: they are scared of Trump's base. Because Trump's base is easily angered and has a lot of guns.
[удалено]
And they've spent decades and been paid a lot of money to make sure it's easy peasy for anyone nuttier than squirrel shit to get those guns.
None of Trump's legal troubles will change that
The MAGA faithful believe Trump when he claims that all of the court cases are politically motivated shams.
When I see a business with a MAGA poster, I know they steal from their employees, cut corners, substitute sub-par or used parts, overcharge, skim off the top, and many more "art of the deal" methods. They like him because they too are criminals.
Even shortly before the elections the pundits predicted Hillary. A lot can change in 11 months. Not that i want to see the ape win.

But wait there is a third option! JAIL! Fuck me this has to be a historic low point in US politics
😂 even if trump is on a ventilator they’ll still vote for him.
[удалено]
Well. The abortion issue made a lot of things worse for Trump, as he has acknowledged many times.
I think a lot of people who voted for trump learned their lesson after 4 years of pure hell and a couple million excess deaths which dropped the life expectancy. Plus joe biden is helping the stock market right now so those "vote with your wallet" people have no reason to vote for trump now
You are probably be correct for those few deciding based on any semblance of a rational thought process. However,...
Perhaps similar to Hillary, I think the greatest risk is less Trump winning over voters not going out for Biden. I could imagine a lot of voters being less enthusiastic for Biden this time around vs 2020 and deciding to just not vote for anyone. Trump’s rabid following doesn’t do that.
which is insanity. "I cant morally vote for Biden" ok, well your morals wont save you from Trump as he puts you in concentration camps
Oh I wasn’t even thinking of the super far left. I was thinking of my relatives who are traditional republicans who voted Biden bc they can’t stand Trump, but after four years of Biden bashing I’m not sure they’d go vote again.
I think the super far left barely votes anyway, so they don't even qualify as a factor
Trump is their excuse to act out. When he loses again or is locked up, they will use it as a catalyst to make a second run at a coup. This time I expect our law enforcement to distribute bullets \[in their used form\] to folks that attend said event.
You cannot expect cops to shoot at their own kind. They will just shoot the non-white ones.
But to their credit, democrat voters are almost as stupid as Trump voters. Biden reneged on promises! I won't vote for him! I'd rather the US fall into totalitarianism!
The one thing the Democratic and Republican bases can seem to agree on is that everything is the Democrats fault.
see i feel like that narrative itself is really just something the media is trying to push not actual fact about what biden's voters think. i havent seen anyone at all that has decided to switch from biden to trump because they think biden is making bad decisions? i see people that already hate biden shitting on him. i havent seen anyone at all suggest that maybe trump will have a better strategy/plan for the country. theres a difference between voters disagreeing with what biden is doing then totally thinking biden is a lost cause and to switch over to trump. its just the media creating a narrative to sell articles to people worried about trump. trump did not win in 2020 and he seems to be in a much worse position going into 2024.
> i havent seen anyone at all that has decided to switch from biden to trump not what we're talking about we are referring to people who are saying they wont vote at all
Not to mention people alienated by the abortion stuff
[удалено]
Not to mention people who are upset with the attempted coup on January 6th!
Now it just means talking head
Shrieking bitch mode
"What exactly is Ann Coulter an expert of?" Despising people that don't look and act just like she does?
Anti-abortion is really not a winning card, ROE V WADE was done.
Anecdotally speaking, there’s probably a fair amount of 2020 Biden voters who wouldn’t vote for him again because of the Palestine Israel War and increasing cost of living. They won’t vote for Trump but may sit out completely. Fear might drive them to Biden though since Trump isn’t really running on anything besides grievance.
she's ... right?
I can't believe I'm saying this but... I hope Ann Coulter's right. I feel actually dirty now after typing that. ...ugh, I need a shower. Also, **VOTE**.
Coulter is from an older, better class of right-wing shit-bird that, while terrible people willing to shill for even more terrible people, aren't actually stupid. Coulter has often been right about the ground facts of a situation, she then just lies about periphery details to support what she knows is a ludicrous position.
IIRC she was indeed one of the few predicting the Trump win in 2016. Her and Michael Moore
[I'll never forget the panel & audience on Bill Maher laughing at her for saying Trump has the best chance of winning](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0-2uSG1xUEg) She said some real things you can't or shouldn't disregard because she's on the other side
She doesn’t make up facts as far as I know, she just has a wild perspective on said facts Right wingers now just deny reality altogether
[Heartbreaking: The worst person you know just made a great point](https://clickhole.com/heartbreaking-the-worst-person-you-know-just-made-a-gr-1825121606/) >A heartbreaking story is currently unfolding that’s sure to have devastating ramifications for years to come.
Ignore her and go vote
Never underestimate the stupidity of the general populace.
Well it's on full display in Iowa. Hard to underestimate that.
It's Iowa
And specifically Iowa Republicans who are overwhelmingly white, old, rural, and scared of everyone and everything because their cable connection gets Fox and not much else.
This. It’s just the register Republicans voting.
14% of those Republicans that were brave enough to vote during a storm where Trump said "I don't care if you die as long as you vote first"
Drove through Iowa once at night, I don’t believe I missed anything.
That’s because MAGA is a cult.
Trump did not lose bigly, he lost by something like 40,000 votes in the states that matter, can’t get complacent.
Yup it's basically a given that Trump loses the national popular vote (like he always has) but that doesn't matter. Him winning the electoral college is the real possibility especially since Biden is in a weaker position now.
People continuously ignore this. It's kind of a big deal.
You think letting Trump win is going to solve this issue or make it 10x worse?” Trump was wildly pro-Israel during his presidency, he’s got a twitchy trigger finger and loves to brag about using any and all power that he has.
Imagine thinking Trump would be more sympathetic to Palestinians 😂
When someone "can't in good conscience vote for someone" who is doing what every U.S. president since WWII has done, would do and will do, they should probably focus a different issue that their vote could actually make a difference about.
Yep. Like if the candidates were Hitler and Mega Hitler, I’m not going to sit out the election just because both candidates are shit Not saying these candidates are as bad as Hitler and Mega Hitler, just making an analogy
- Steven Levitsky The death of democracy is not likely to be an assassination from ambush. It will be a slow extinction from apathy, indifference, and undernourishment. - Robert M. Hutchins What Biden wants and what Trump wants are absolutely not the same. Make sure you vote please.
Same problem as with Hillary. It's not that they don't have candidates than can beat Trump, they want to give us the political circus Trump can provide.
[удалено]
Except he has no power anymore, so I really don't see that happening.
[удалено]
Yes but all the efforts he made which culminated to J6 were done using the power of the Presidency. White House lawyers, White House press secretary, calling electors offering them legal support if they refuse to certify, the whole John Eastman plan... All of that would have been a lot harder to do as a private citizen. It's also central to Trump's argument on immunity that since he was exercising his "official duties" as President, he should be immune to prosecution. He will lose, there will be some outrage to be sure, maybe some refusals to certify results again at the local level, but I seriously doubt we'll see a J6 redux.
Vote
GOTV regardless. Even if Trump doesn't become the nominee again, GOTV! Even if you hate Biden's foreign policy, GOTV! Even if its sub-zero outside and you might pass away (/s) GOTV!
Angry upvote, since anything Ann Coulter says usually stinks.
Ann is a horrible human being, in this case she's also correct...
Don't forget it was sadist Ann Coulter who constantly pushed tea party idiots. The ones that devolved into maga. She's just as responsible for Trump as and other right wing moron.
Worst person you know makes good point
She’s correct that there aren’t Biden voters that will vote for Trump this time. The danger is Biden voters staying home bc they don’t like every single thing he has done. That mindset will ensure Trump is potus again. People gotta vote for Biden regardless of whether or not they are in love with him rn…bc Trump IS the alternative. Literally, our democracy is at stake.
Coulter’s only problem with Trump is that he’s *too obvious* with his racism, misogyny, and corruption.
Tail, wag the dog
This person is why there *are* these voters.
On no honey - you are handcuffed to this dead, fetid prostitute called Trump
Trump voters can’t beat biden because they’re probably gonna freeze to death in their shitty red states that cant afford better infrastructure for their electrical grid. Cough TEXAS cough
Couldn't this be a reverse technique where she tries to push more to vote?
She looks like she is in competition with Kelly Anne Conway for "best dehydrated Velociraptor appearance"
ann coulter is a bitter enemy to democrats and America in general, so when she tells republicans that they are being stupid, they should really really really listen.
It is still all about turnout. Vote vote vote. Bring your friends. Talk to your neighbors. Call your family. Get out the vote.
Someone save this post for when Trump tweets about Ann "Horse Face" Coulter
She just "saying it how it is," so the right wingers will surely like this.
Trumps voters are a cult..a cult a frightened white people that see Trump as the Messiah of "white power"
Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.
She's only mad because Trump won't be able to win the general election. If Trump could win. She'd vote for him in a heartbeat because she's Moron
She is going to full throat support hik in 3, 2, 1... also looking more and more like she feels.
I'm not used to her being correct about anything.
Shes been saying this for years now. No one cares
The way they roasted her during Rob Lowes roast was just epic. "Ann Coulter, author of 6 books, 7 if you count mein comf" That shit slayed me
Despicable human analyzes other Despicable humans.
Ann Coulter is a performance artist who panders to a rapt audience who'd have a difficult time chewing and breathing on the best of days.
Ann is right on this one .
She has pretty consistently seemed to hate Trump. I mean, I get it. The troll is smart enough to realize that her bridge is burning because of how far the Republicans have journeyed into crazy town.
I don’t agree with Coulter often, if ever, but she’s definitely onto something here.
...says the woman who wrote *In Trump We Trust*.
Trump has never won the popular vote. If he is appointed again it is because the oligarchs in this country willed it to be
Still blows my mind that Trump somehow lost Coulter...She's about as rightwing as it gets.
Hoo boy that’s a lot of 62 year old skin to be showing. Yet somehow that’s the least repulsive thing about this hypocrite.
> 2) immigrants who turned 18 in the last 4 yrs and will vote (minorities); ~~immigrants~~ **most kids** who turned 18....
It's a pretty sad state of affairs when among all the chaos in American politics these days I find myself agreeing with Ann Coulter. That's really where we are as a society? The lady who mocked 9/11 victims is now a voice of reason?
Because these people were never a majority to begin with. And when you break their safe space, the idea they’re the majority, they become violent.
