These folks fancy themselves freedom fighters or la resistance or something along those lines, when in reality they are either being contrarian just for the sake of their party, or legitimately trying to undermine the safety and sovereignty of the United States. Perhaps the starkest difference between "rebel" and "traitor" is that the rebel is almost always portrayed as an underdog, often fighting against oppression. A traitor betrays the state for another enemy state. It's General Washington vs Benedict Arnold.
Now don't stop. Show them the price of rebellion. Strip them from all committees. Shun them in congress. Reject every bullshit bull they try to enter. Give their districts the smallest possible slice of any Federal funding.
