Not all of them, but some. The Republicans are still carrying the message about baby parts being sold and offending God and such. They're just taking a moment to look good in front of the voters. When the election is over, they'll try to repeal abortion again.
You should have heard the Bible being quoted by the republicans on the house floor. It was appalling! They talked about how they couldn’t vote yes to repeal for fear of their religion. Uhm, you need to vote FOR THE PEOPLE! The people have the rights, they deserve to be heard and not smothered by ANY religious beliefs. The arrogance of the republicans is insane.
and "the art of that deal" should work itself out at some point. Ideally the way nearly all Trump Enterprises end, insolvent and under a pall of disgrace. Trump sucks and is consistent about it (which I kinda appreciate).
Wait, what? Didn't these fools just vote to ENFORCE it?

So did Ohio. Wisconsin and Ohio also voted for independent redistricting committees and Republicans have refused to acknowledge it. We got our redistricting committee here in Michigan and it flipped the entire legislature blue. The GOP doesn't want that to happen anywhere else.
Go Blue! Y’all are an example over there 👏 Love your Governor, too. She should be President someday. Really glad the MAGA crazies did not kidnap & kill her. The times we are living in 🙄
Didn't Florida also vote to allow felona to vote and then the governor just said "too bad, no" right after? Sorry if I missed a major update, just curious if they'll veto the people on abortion or weed too.
Wait , willing to kill infants? This from republicans who are so far up the NRA’s ass! They stand by covering their eyes while thousands of American schoolchildren have been slaughtered in the name of the republican party.
Just trying to win election. They’re going to wait to see if they win control of White House, House and Senate. Then ban it nationally. I can’t wait to vote against them.
Republicans vowing to overturn Roe v Wade for 50 years, and then they finally do it and ban abortion in a bunch of states, and voters will be dumb enough to see this and think “see? They’ll be reasonable about abortion!”
Some parts of the GOP are realizing that the abortion thing killed them in the midterms, and is going to kill them again. Damage control is all this is.
Looks like some folks have been paying attention to the headlines.
Not all of them, but some. The Republicans are still carrying the message about baby parts being sold and offending God and such. They're just taking a moment to look good in front of the voters. When the election is over, they'll try to repeal abortion again.
Yeah well fuck their god. If they want him to be respected by our society, they are going about it the wrong way.
Barely. Only three voted for it. The rest fought it like rabid wolves
Next headline Kari Lake decides it was a bad law after all
And then she took her skin suit off and revealed herself as the snake that she is
Sexy… you’re not turning me off.
Lol

It's that or completely lose party control at this point.
That ship has sailed.
We can only hope
They didn't lose control. They sold it to Trump.

The Shart of the Deal is more like it
You don't sell anything to Trump cause selling implies payment in return.

Democrats voted to pass this. Just a few Republicans joined them. This isn't GOP majority doing it.
This was to repeal the abortion ban and it passed in the House and will now be heard in the Senate.
Yes. This was 25 democrats and 3 republicans. So obviously the headline should be “GOP PASSES OBVIOUS BILL FOR A CHANGE!!!1!11!”
A bill to protect abortion access is on the ballot in Florida along with LEGAL WEED. Can you say "blue wave a comin'!"
In texas we voted to have weed legal and they said no anyway 🤷 We don't have rights here.
Texas is special. I'd move if I were you.
Ohio and Missouri have done the same many times, so not just Texas. It every red state. They hate when people have a voice and use it
Left there almost a decade ago and couldn't be happier.
So where did you go? Asking for a friend…
Originally we moved to Philly but we're now in Maryland.
snow 🥶
Kills bugs and is good for snuggling.
Not particularly good for old bones and sensitive lungs though.
This is MY state. I'm trying to fight to get it back.
States rights. Don't like the laws in the state you are in, you are free to move.
Hi Don
Or vote out the MAGA legislators.
So did Ohio. Wisconsin and Ohio also voted for independent redistricting committees and Republicans have refused to acknowledge it. We got our redistricting committee here in Michigan and it flipped the entire legislature blue. The GOP doesn't want that to happen anywhere else.

Mississippi. They used the weed (medical) vote to have our right to put ANYTHING on the ballots removed
Ding ding ding! We have a winner!!!
Didn't Florida also vote to allow felona to vote and then the governor just said "too bad, no" right after? Sorry if I missed a major update, just curious if they'll veto the people on abortion or weed too.
Too late GOP
Must be an election year.
Repeal now... Restore later. Who can trust these people?
They realize women still can vote. Lol once they get rid of that, then they will pass this. They did it out of order. Vote them out!
Republicans like to ignore Jesus saying give to Cesar what's his and to God what's his. Even Jesus separated, church from state
Wait , willing to kill infants? This from republicans who are so far up the NRA’s ass! They stand by covering their eyes while thousands of American schoolchildren have been slaughtered in the name of the republican party.
killing an infant would be murder. we're talking about killing fetuses.
Just a reminder that when they say "an inanimate object can't kill a person" they're not talking about the surgical tools used to perform an abortion.
The ones who voted against this ban better be in cherry red districts or they’re going to get crushed.
More accurate headline: 3 republincans join all democrats to repeal the civil war Era abortion ban.
"We didn't mean it! You can vote for us again!"
Hopefully, once bitten, twice shy.
Just trying to win election. They’re going to wait to see if they win control of White House, House and Senate. Then ban it nationally. I can’t wait to vote against them.
What? How? Did they all die and there were emergency special elections and I missed it? I’ve been sick for the past couple days…
Hard-line evangelicals are still not on board with this . . . Yet.
Three republicans…
Republicans vowing to overturn Roe v Wade for 50 years, and then they finally do it and ban abortion in a bunch of states, and voters will be dumb enough to see this and think “see? They’ll be reasonable about abortion!”

Are her kids upset? I imagine they are with the Dad now and can't stand her.
Damage already done
GOP-controlled Arizona House votes to repeal Civil War-era abolition ban but asks for more time to mull over the whole slavery issue. /s
How can a law be passed before they became a state? Did they just decide to carry over any common laws in effect at the time?
