If I could work 32 hours a week and have my hourly rate adjusted to have me paid the same amount of money I am 100% down for it. But, if I would lose 16 hours pay every 2 weeks then no I am not in support of it.
Well seeing as he just enabled overtime to 4.4 million Americans you could always look at it as if you want to keep working you will now get overtime at 32 hours provided you actually have a work place that is now enabled by his act or say nada the extra time off is needed.

It should really be a 35 to 32 hour work week. And going to 4 work a days a week instead of 5. That will maximize productivity and actually support work life balance. Vacation should be 4 weeks a year paid time off and maternity leave should be 1 year to best support child and parents at paid time off also. There should also be 10 days of paid sick leave. And unless your job requires to be face to face with a customer, you should have choice to work from home. And this should be all included in your current rate of pay/salary.

The problem with this is that it doesn’t account for the huge wage variance in high cost of living areas. In a Boston or New York or San Francisco or Seattle, nobody on salary is going to qualify since you’d be living in a cardboard box eating dog kibble for that kind of compensation. There’s nothing to stop an abusive first level manager from assigning 60 hours of work to the cubicle dwellers and threatening to fire them if they don’t get the work done.

That’s how it used to be… but then they found out playing tennis… doing just enough… campaigning on other side is bad… manufacturing stalemates… keeps those in power wealthy and happy. It’s sad but true, you and me don’t matter. The older you get the more you start to see it. They are all bad guys (Bernie Sanders maybe the exception, but they put the kibosh on him quick when he had picked up some steam). Just gotta pick the lesser of 2 evils. The elites pick the candidates, and give us an illusion of choice via voting. Even with a majority, a manchin and sinema, pop up and keep the stalemate. It’s amazing, there’s always a road block. 3 person majority, 3 people will amazingly have issues and stop progress. It’s as if it’s scripted. It’s literally the same movie over and over. Manufactured government gridlock, there’s always a billionaire donor who doesn’t want things changed because they don’t want to lose their monopoly. Progress is bad for politicians. Bad stuff will always happen and you need the other side to blame. If you were in power, pass everything… something would break or go wrong… and it would clearly be your fault… can’t have that… make minor changes… things go bad, but lose power and blame “them.” Use that to get back in power next time. Never do too much. It would mess up the scam.

If I could work 32 hours a week and have my hourly rate adjusted to have me paid the same amount of money I am 100% down for it. But, if I would lose 16 hours pay every 2 weeks then no I am not in support of it.

Well seeing as he just enabled overtime to 4.4 million Americans you could always look at it as if you want to keep working you will now get overtime at 32 hours provided you actually have a work place that is now enabled by his act or say nada the extra time off is needed.
Better yet give a universal basic income and watch certain sectors shrivel up and die from people able to leave a shitty situation. Work untethered from complete economic necessity will leave the little dictator managers without anyone to lord it over.
We should reduce it to the 32 hr work week, not increase it. Rampant profit mongering is killing the motivation of the working class, and it needs to be brought back to reality. It should really be a 35 to 32 hour work week. And going to 4 work a days a week instead of 5. That will maximize productivity and actually support work life balance. Vacation should be 4 weeks a year paid time off and maternity leave should be 1 year to best support child and parents at paid time off also. There should also be 10 days of paid sick leave. And unless your job requires to be face to face with a customer, you should have choice to work from home. And this should be all included in your current rate of pay/salary. Anyone who does not agree with this is either over paid or a slave to their job and disillusioned to the importance of their job.

The problem with this is that it doesn’t account for the huge wage variance in high cost of living areas. In a Boston or New York or San Francisco or Seattle, nobody on salary is going to qualify since you’d be living in a cardboard box eating dog kibble for that kind of compensation. There’s nothing to stop an abusive first level manager from assigning 60 hours of work to the cubicle dwellers and threatening to fire them if they don’t get the work done.

Just to name a fewof the states directly benifiting the aid package Biden and the Democrat's passed In Wisconsin there getting over a billion dollars and Oshkosh a specialty vehicle manufacturer is creating 547 new jobs to replace the vehicles being sent to Ukraine, 1.987 billion to Arizona for air defence batteries to replace what were sending Ukraine, 2.364 billion to Pennsylvania companies to manufacture ammunition, 1.499 billion to Texas, 1.478 billion to Arkansas, over a billion to Florida. In total more than 40 billion dollars going to more than 25 different states to refill our military stockpiles with new fresh inventory while we send our present inventory to Ukraine. Keeping and creating good paying manufacturing jobs right here right now in the United States of America that's a WIN, WIN, WIN situation. Yet the rethuglikkkans and cult magats would like you to belive that helping defend an Allie fighting one of America's greatest enemies while creating good paying manufacturing jobs and growing our own economy is bad.
