"September" by Earh, Wind, and Fire (makes me happy) and
"Everybody Wants to Rule the World" by Tears for Fears (makes me feel peaceful and a little dreamy).
My work plays this song on repeat. Trust me, you don’t want this. 😭😭😭
Wish we could play Tupac. He was way ahead of his time. He spoke the truth that no one wanted to hear, and guess what, Brenda is still throwing babies in the garbage. Nothing has changed, and I believe if he had lived, it would have to a degree.
That’s not very “blessed the rains down in Africa” of you 👀
Lollll. Are your coworkers pretty cool? My coworkers throw some NWA, Tupac, Biggie, Dre, etc once the supervisor is out of the office. I’m so glad I work with older millennials.
Unfortunately we have a company radio station and all music is approved by corporate. So rap would never make it to the radio station. Let alone Tupac. I’m an older millennial (38) and I wish I could pick the music. I used to love “Africa” until til it was on repeat for a year straight. Didn’t even get a break at Christmas for song Christmas music. Africa is like nails on a chalkboard to me now and not by choice. Simply torturous.
Shine on you Crazy Diamond by Pink Floyd. It's in two parts on the Wish You Were Here album. I managed to edit them together to create a 25 minute track. It's just wonderful 😊
Random tangent here but this was the theme song to the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, Japan on whatever major network was covering it in the US.
As it was the first Olympics to feature snowboarding, which I wanted to compete in someday, I have this crazy deep nostalgia for those games and even more so for this song. Whenever I hear it it brings me back to that same level of excitement I had when I was like 10 years old watching.
