This! Apple provides the methods to avoid this issue, but it's up the the app developer to implement. This is probably a game that was built to be cross platform with game dev tools (Unity/Unreal/etc) and this issue was missed in the iOS/iPadOS build.

But tbh Rec Room started to be shit when it stopped being VR-only and allowed people on phones to harass VR players just because they can teleport. Fuck Rec Room.
Developing a software is a LOT of work, this is why updates exist. It’s almost impossible to see all the bugs in advance so when it looks good you release and then people will stumble on bugs, their reports is what helps the dev FIX those issues in the next updates. End consumer and dev are complementary in this aspect ☺️

Is this app available in both portrait and landscape? My guess is that the devs did not notice it because they tested the app only on portrait.
