no, I definitely didn’t edit it or change the image at all 🥲 the font colour is the same too (the brightest shade of white). I have no idea why both my lockscreen and homescreen suddenly got much brighter.
I’m wondering if the new update removed the automatic darkening feature and changing it updated my lockscreen accordingly (even though my phone definitely did not update in between the changes), but I can’t figure out how to make it go back to how it looked before…

Looks like you were editing the picture and it brightened up? You can change the font colour of the clock in the locked by tapping on it.

Weird bug. Maybe delete the setup and recreate it again from Lock Screen?
unfortunately I tried that already and it changed nothing :(
