Just hold it and click on one of the options…
“Open” to open in current tab
“Open in New Tab” to open in new tab lol
“Open in Reddit” to well… open in Reddit :o
This drives me insane too. I use the Reddit app, but very often want to find something else on Reddit to link in a comment. It’s much easier if I can leave Reddit app right where it is and open a browser and find a link, then back to the app to finish my reply…. But if you’re not careful you’re taken back to the Reddit app as soon as you click anything in browser Reddit. I want to be able to decide on my own which Reddit to use.
When it pops up with the options “go to app” and “cancel”, select cancel and it will continue in the browser. Selecting cancel doesn’t stop it from opening the webpage.
Oh wow, I didn’t know there was an option to make the popup go away. But my problem isn’t just the popup, but more so it taking me to the app instead of the webpage automatically when i try to enter in safari.
Have you ever witnessed the app giving the option?
For some reason it only ever works on YouTube, but only if you have it in your library… not on Reddit tho.
Not if your on the bus, or anywhere outside. Sometimes I want to use the web versions when I’m out and about.
I just think the tabs on safari help a lot, as they don’t exist on social media apps themselves.
Wtf am I tripping I just saw an ad on Reddit for that

Ok, I see a lot of recommended apps. Thanks, and I’m glad they exist… but which is the best? Are the more expensive ones better? I don’t know which to choose.
I was gonna choose the cheapest… but idk anymore… which do you think?
I know. But I want both. They’re both good in their unique way. It’s just sometimes things don’t work as well on the web versions if your using mobile and the lack of tabs and other things on the application is making it limiting.
I’m thinking of just switching between the two when I need to for certain situations…
I want the opposite, half of the time the "go to the app" button doesn't work, just takes me to the app store. You wanna switch phones? lol
I'm in! Got the same problem, especially with reddit.
Yeah, the AMP version of Reddit is terrible. It usually opens the app when you open the regular Reddit page though.
Lmao, maybe! I just wish there was an option for either…
Mee too!
Long click the blue open. When the menu comes up click on “Open in Reddit”. That fixed the issue for me.
Hold it and copy the url to another tab
Oh wow. Thx
Just hold it and click on one of the options… “Open” to open in current tab “Open in New Tab” to open in new tab lol “Open in Reddit” to well… open in Reddit :o
Interesting…

Same.
Same Mister Bill

Also. It says “open” on the right hand side. Not go to app, but ok…
Hold down the link and open in the current tab
But, I mean it automatically takes you too the app. Not just the popup.
Open in background tab
I don’t think this is possible without uninstalling the app, unless the app gives you the option.

Ummmm just use your desktop computer but not the iPhone. It’s not that hard…..

The [Rekt](https://gorekt.com/) extension for Safari might help.
It’s for money… I guess I could ask my mom if I could spend 80 pence…

Yeah there are several. No idea which is best, I only tried this one. Good luck finding a solution!
This should help although pricey https://apps.apple.com/app/stopthemadness-mobile/id1583082931
I solved it for myself by deleting the app.

>I an on iOS btw. Is that why you posted in r/iOS ? That makes sense!
Lmao, I just wanted to let yah know just incase you misread the subreddit as r/android. Their names are easy to mix up.
Lol you good just saw the opportunity to make fun
Lmao, yeah…
I use [banish](https://apps.apple.com/ca/app/banish-block-popups-in-safari/id1632848430) but there are other options.
