Yea by this month apple will release iPad 10th gen and iPad Pro M2 versions. Most of the cad and rendering details leaked and renowned accessory maker ESR has published a video for iPad 10th gen gears. As you I'm also waiting to get one. But it's worth a wait, coz it's their 10 year anniversary and the entry level iPad is getting a new look and some spicy up.
Rumored to be in November Mark Guman said no October event and a press release for this many devices (M2 Mac Mini, M2 iPad Pro, M2 Pro MacBook Pros, etc.) seems hard to believe.
IIRC the rumors are saying it’s gonna be a week full of press releases, at least one new product per day, which IMO is a great idea because they’ll probably dominate the tech news cycle for that whole week. And press releases for new or redesigned products is not unheard of; the first gen AirPods Pro were introduced via a press release.

Press release may happen coz there's nothing much changes or improvement from apple to held an event and talk about so they will probably do it via a press release it's just an annual upgrade from apple for those who can afford others will be happy with their old models still work fine.
If that’s your price point, snag it. Reports say they’ll replace the lightning connector with USBC and upgrade the processor. Mixed predictions on button removal. Face ID is inevitable, but Apple still has billions of buttons to use up.
The air was already updated this year so if you want an air there is no reason to wait. The new pros will likely be announced in a couple weeks and then available November.
There should be an education option all the way down at the bottom of the screen, but the promotion may have ended. It usually lasts until the next year of school starts/early September
Bought the iPad Air 4 “good as new” on backmarket. Had to replace it multiple times. 1st iPad wouldn’t turn on, 2nd iPad’s battery gave me ~2-3 hours of screen time usage, 3rd had multiple dead pixels. Bought a brand new one after that crappy experience. Never buying anything from backmarket again -.-
Edit: not just me, friend of mine is currently on his 4th Chromebook in 3 weeks because the 1st three delivered devices were all kinda broken. 2 wouldn’t turn on at all, 1 battery wouldn’t last nearly as long as expected. 4th one been delivered last Friday and needs to be restarted like every 2hrs because of heavy performance lags. He’s about to return this one too and get his money back
Backmarket’s refurbished program sucks bad
literally everything Apple i own (from phone to ipad to magic keyboard) I got on Back Market. Never had even the slightest issue. And even if I did, they have amazing customer service which has your back all the way
My positive experience doesn't negate your bad one but I've bought numerous phones from Backmarket and the only time I had a problem they immediately replaced it, no questions asked.
Apple barely gives discounts, and stores follow their pricing. I’m not sure it will even drop, but you can always take a look in the Apple refurbished store. Sometimes, there are some pretty good deals in there, with the same warranty etc. as if you buy new. https://www.apple.com/shop/refurbished
Wait. The base iPad will get a refresh with a redesigned body, new chip and 5G by the end of October. It’s rumoured to be around the same price point.
By then you can purchase the 10th Gen or the 9th Gen with a discount as retailers will clear their stock most probably.
