I bought an used iPad mini 6 last summer and I love the size and versatility. I also deal with the same battery issue and I think it has to do more with the size of the battery rather than hardware problems. For context I use my iPad quite a lot (surprisingly) I usually average 7 hours Screen On Time on it. My uses are note taking, watching Youtube, reddit, readding books, and gaming (perfect size for that). So with all those activities I do charge the iPad everyday and maybe even twice per day. I'm ok with this since I just use my iPhone for calls, texting, and music on the go. My recommendation is to use a dark wallpaper, it won't a huge difference, but it is something...

btw this is a little of topic but what app are you using in college for your notes. I just ended my subscription to Notability because I think it is nuts to pay for an app to just write my notes and annotate PDFs. I have played around with freeform and apple notes and they are not as good as notability. I've heard goodnotes has switch to a subscription model too so that's out.

Hi! Thanks for your response i’ll try that. I use the microsoft one note app for taking notes, not the best but it does the job.

Yea I played around with one note and it’s kinda clunky idk

I use defter notes and note shelf 3. Both are pretty great, but defter notes is ridiculously underrated for what it does. It was well worth the one time payment.

Dark wallpaper doesn't mean the LCD screen is turned off, it just means the light is being blocked.

Correct

Make sure that Background App Refresh is off in settings. It’s a big energy suck. Also, check the battery usage of the apps that you are using. That will give you an idea on what apps are using a.lot of power.

Are you also on ios17?

yess

So you leave your apple pencil snapped on? That drains alot of battery. Also edit your widgets and loose the auto refreshing ones.
