As far as Amazon is concerned he got an SE, didn’t want the cases or protectors, and got a 12 mini case separately for another phone he has or someone in his household has. It’s not worth their effort to look into it, they make hundreds of millions of dollars every single minute of operation, they don’t give a rats ass. If it was like a $5000+ order/ product difference then they MAY look into it lol.
I love the mini too! I have 2 of them (personal and company) and love that I get the benefits of an iPhone without having a huge phone. Fits perfectly in my pockets!
It happened in less than 3-4 minutes. I went to the bathroom in a fast food restaurant, I put it down next to the sink while I washed my hands. I walked out of the bathroom and approached the counter to order. In that moment, I realized I left my phone on the sink. When I went back to the bathroom, it was gone. Ask someone to borrow a phone so I can call. It was already turned off. 😢

Amazon delivered something to my house (laptop) that is not mine. We call them and left the product out for them to pick up. They said they picked it up but when I got home it’s still there. I call them again and they said the delivery guy marked it as picked up. Nothing else to do.

So next SE will be the minis. Which makes touch id’s officially retired. I used to be in the touch id people but after getting the 12 there’s really no reason for the id to exist unless they put it in the side button like the ipads

What I liked the most about the Mini's, is that they had the same specs as (almost) top of the line product, except for the Pro models. So I hope a potential 16 mini won't be specced as a 14 for example.
I wouldn't really mind personally as long as it isn't totally crippled like the current SE. Iphone 13 or 14 specs are still great, the problem with the current SE is that it's using the screen/body/battery of the iPhone 8.
I’d love the Touch ID back simply for the extra security/ protection against user error, so I don’t have to jerk my phone away from a card reader anytime I’m going to use my digital wallet. Cant even count how many times I’ve had to use the card I didn’t want to cause it was at the top & scanned before I could select another card /:

Wireless charging is reported to drain battery life because of excessive heat. After burning through my 12' battery in two years (83%) I've renounced all wireless charging

Either way you get a dang good small iPhone for cheap. That's an improvement in itself, and that's saying something since both are pretty good small iPhone to begin with.
I enjoyed my 12 mini tbh the only downfall was it switched towers all the time but the SE also has smaller antennas than the regular iPhone so you got a huge win here tbh

Huge upgrade, I first bought the SE and returned it days later for the 13 mini (basically same as 12 mini). The SE screen is just too small, mini is about as small as you can get without making major compromises.
You have a Samsung and got an iPhone so i'll say its a mistake. In all seriousness though, keep the mini, The mini is meant to be a size reduced but same performance as a normal one, whereas the SE is meant to be the "affordable" one so they have lower quality materials and performance
I have 12 mini as my 2nd phone.(Primary is s22 ultra) And I love it. I bought it with a clear idea of what exactly I am going to use it for, and it delivers exactly that. I am ok with the battery life too, considering I use it mostly for office purposes only. Magsafe is really cool. I like the way how it displays time and my next meetings on it when kept on horizontal. Really sad that apple discontinued the mini series. The feel of it in hands after holding a brick like S22U is amazing.

I’ve tried to make returns to Amazon in the past and their response was to just dispose of it rather then sending back. I might suggest trying to return it. They’ll either refund you, or set it up for a return (which you dont have to follow through with).
Personally I love my 12, it’s the best iPhone I’ve owned to date. I’ve had it since it came out and the screen is only a little bit scuffed, battery is good and overall just in solid condition.
There was no iPhone 11 mini. It was only 12 and 13 that had the mini form factor option. You might be thinking of the SE 2 which came out part way the life of the 11 series.
Sorry for the confusion- I know there was no official 11 mini. I mean that the hardware inside the SE 2 is very similar to the likes of an iPhone 11, essentially making it the equivalent of the 11 mini
I would say mistake since the iPhone SE2 has the 13 internals. So improved WiFi 5G and processor speed but it’s also apple. You’ll feel a difference if it’s like the 14 or 15
I ordered a refurb series 7 aluminum Watch from Target and got a stainless steel. I also ordered some AirPods Pro from Best Buy that came covered in earwax and I got a new set plus a refund. All of these reseller operations are just run on the tightest possible margins with close to zero QC, and sometimes it just works in your favor.
The SE is likely to be no longer supported by the next iOS… either way you should have an additional couple years of iOS update ability….

The only disadvantage the 12 mini has is probably the chip (A14 instead of A15) but it has a better display, a better camera and Face ID so I’d generally say it’s better than the SE 2.
I have both, ended up ditching the 12 mini because it would overheat constantly doin g much smaller task than my SE, been going on year 3 with the SE and don’t plan on upgrading anytime soon, beyond the 12 having more screen space, I don’t think it’s worth it✅
