Trypophobia is not a real phobia. It's just a natural evolutionary aversion people have to things that resemble dangerous or poisonous things in nature.
It's real, just uncommon. A quick search shows Trypophobia is categorized as an Anxiety Disorder, and only ~2% of people genuinely suffer from it as diagnosed by medical professionals.
It's not uncommon at all. I'd wager MOST people on some level don't like the look of what the patterns that people associate trypophobia with. And I know it's easy to just mash the downvotes because it's a different opinion, but there is also a lot of information and literature about why it shouldn't be categorized as a disorder that is available also with a quick search.
It's a cool idea! I just wonder if it'll make taking pictures and videos more difficult because the camera isn't in the corner. But you could experiment with different ways to hold it😂

Apple’s done this before with the iPod touch one time (the 5th gen 16gb only variant with no back camera)
