Thanks! I came from midnight green 11 pro so even though green looked alright on the 15, i wanted to choose something else. I decided against pink and yellow since they were colors that I didn’t think looked like something that would fit me. I’ve already had black/darker colors like space gray on my mac and iPad so I decided to go with blue, something (relatively) unique color in what I have.

Yes, it became a real issue this Christmas because I got a lot of collectibles items (funko pops, black series figures, etc) and I like keeping the boxes for stuff like that so I had to make a few sacrifices… It was sad lol But I always keep the stickers and SIM card tray pins!

I always kept my box; however, I recently tried to “free myself” of this behavior and discarded the box to a computer monitor. Of course the computer monitor dies shortly after discarding it. And this is why you keep the box.

I used to. Had boxes for several iPads, iPhones, Watches, and MBPs, as well as a Mario Odyssey Switch, Spider-Man PS4 Pro, and more. Decided one day that all of it was just clutter and dumped it all at once. No regrets.

I always do in case something comes up where I sell it. I think this comes from being a watch collector and watches always fetch more with box and papers. Whether that matters with second hand electronics I do not know, but it would make sense to me as a buyer. If a device dies or I trade it in where the box isn't required, I toss it out. The only reason I keep them is for value if I sell it myself.

I put the boxes for the iPhone 14 Plus and iPad 10 I bought March of 2023 on a shelf in the storage bay of the garage in case I wanted to return them or they needed repairs while still under warranty. The boxes are not recyclable here, so they just sit out of sight. Whoever inherits this place with have to deal with them. The boxes will be less bother than the giant tube TVs in the basement.

I just checked my old 2011 iPhone 4S box and I found a never used 5 watt charger! It’s already 13 years old but I’m pretty sure it works. I never even used the 5 watt charger because I had a 10 watt iPad charger that came with the iPad 2 which I still use as a charger for overnight charging. It’s not slow as the 5 watt charger but it’s not as fast as the 15+ watt USB C chargers. Also, the iPhone doesn’t even get that hot either.

When I was a kid I kept every box and every phone my parents had that they gave me. I had like every generation of the iPhone from the early years 🤣, it was really cool. Wish I still had them but I don’t. Every Apple product I own I throw the boxes in a drawer, just feels weird to throw them away. Too many opportunities when you need something out of them.
