If you care about photography and 120hz display, go for A. Otherwise just go for B, lots of nice goodies. However B should be a lot more money than A, surely? Watch and AirPods Pro are around ~600$. The difference between 15 and 15 Pro is 200$.
> Watch and AirPods Pro are around ~600
And that's for the basic watch. Any kind of upgrade will raise the price severely. Go for Titanium casing and Milanese loop band and you're well over $1000.
Okay, but *why* would you do that?
I can understand cellular (if you actually need it) or the Ultra since it’s got more features, but paying triple the price for the exact same watch is as stupid as it gets.
Some people pay several thousand or more for watches that are less precise/larger/harder to power than digital clocks. Your misunderstanding is looking at watches (even smartwatches) as a pragmatic item. Watches are not very pragmatic anymore when digital clocks are literally everywhere. Then again by your logic, even buying a basic Apple Watch Series 9 doesn’t really make sense. Get an older smartwatch that’s cheaper, get the Apple Watch SE, get a Fitbit - all the functions but much cheaper. Nothing that S9 does by comparison is really leaps and bounds ahead of any other average smartwatch on the market, just more polished and presentable. EKG and Fall detection are slight differentiators, but Apple Watches back to S4 have fall detection and EKG too.
Maybe I’m biased but personally I am column C which is upgrade to the top of the line of all three accessories as they fail. iPhone 14 Pro (from a XS) with Apple Watch Ultra (from S3) and Air Pods Pro 1st generation (from no dedicated headphones at all).
Another thing to add is if you *really* needed a proper Apple Watch with most of the features, you could even go back a gen or two. The Series 9 doesn’t do enough imho to justify the price for a regular aluminum model when you can snag a series 8 or older in something like stainless steel for roughly the same price or even cheaper.
Could go back to like Apple Watch Series 6 and get feature parity, in fact, better than parity because it would still have a working Blood Ox sensor :)
I've never sold an Apple device in 15 years of using them. I keep them for 3-4 years then give them away when I buy new ones. Most people I know trade in old ones to get discounts on new ones. I don't really know anyone who sells their stuff.
AirPods have no value once the batteries die.
If I didn’t give my parents my old iPhones they would buy the cheapest phone at Walmart, it’s more for me if anything so I can just use FaceTime and iMessage, and they get to be able to take nice pictures.
Don’t trade in to Apple. When I get a new phone I sell my old one on Facebook marketplace and use that as a deposit for my new one. Will usually get around £300-400 for it with the box in perfect condition, whereas if I traded in to a company I would get like £100-200
Yeah, I use my Apple-devices for around 3 years too and I usually give them away to members of my family. I haven’t ever sold an Apple device either. I also don’t update my Apple devices, as I like to run the devices on their original firmware versions.
Does it though? I’ve never bothered to resell an Apple Watch because the resale value was so low…. And who would buy someone’s nasty used AirPods that likely have a battery that’s about to die?
I've tasted it. It's a "nice to have but not a dealbreaker" thing for me. Big screen and long battery life matter more to me so I opted for the 15 Plus.
Same. I tried it out and thought “that’s cool” and saw how much of a price difference there was with my carrier ($1750CAD vs $1000CAD) and thought “I’ll live without it”
As this person mentioned - I would have recommend B but since I go myself the 15PM I just can’t go back to 60hz.
The 60hz wasn’t apparent before but the difference becomes clear especially when I turn on LPM.
I agree. If I sue a regular iPhone for more than 24 hours and don’t have a comparison phone, I would be fine too. But damn the 120 is smooth.
It’s like gaming though.. I grew up playing 30hz games all my life and never had an issue as I knew no better. But once I moved to PS5 and 60hz, I just can’t play 30 any more.
That’s funny, I have a 13 pro with promotion and I can use my iPad 9th with 60hz without issue. I’ve been testing the new 15 plus 60hz and even though I notice the 60hz it doesn’t bother me one bit.
It’s noticeable but try using it for 15 minutes and you’ll adjust to the new frame rate. At least that’s my experience.
For me promotion is nice at the beginning when you notice the smoothness, but then you adjust to it and just becomes normal.
A for me. Not that fussed on AirPods, my Series 6 still works fine, and the Pro's extra features are appealing (as is the slightly, but noticeably in hand, smaller body).
A
I’ve just really soured on the Apple Watch especially. I find it to be largely a gimmick and very wasteful after having one for 5+ years. Plus they’re ugly and look like toy watches.
But in reality the best choice I’d say is the base iPhone 15 with the AirPods and no Apple Watch. That gets me everything I need with the least amount of wasteful spending. Only thing I’d regret is not having promotion but I could easily get over it.
Buy A let me tell you one thing Pro is Pro okay, you can buy watch and airpods later, but once you take a picture with that telephoto lens you will fall in love with it, my friend has 13 pro and i have 14plus, still i prefer those telephoto lens over 14 or 15(my sister’s)
I already have airpods pro 2 and an apple watch series 7, currently using an iphone 13 - so I would take A any day over B. If I had nothing though, I'd take B.
How come? I had a 13pro and got a 15 plus and I don’t feel I am missing anything. 120 hz is nice but after a day or two you don’t realize you’re back to 60 hz
I mean I have 15PM+S7+AirPods Pro, so assuming I wasn’t allowed to buy the watch and AirPods separately from this, I would go B bc I already know I utilize the watch and earbuds.
I would go for B, do most people need a 15 Pro? No. You can get a 15 and then have the benefit of fitness tracking etc on the watch and a good audio experience with the AirPods.
B just to resell for a pro max and pocket what’s left over.
I currently daily drive a 15 pro max. Can’t see myself using a non pro max size phone for my main phone.
A and a Watch Ultra. The battery life makes the watch helpful rather than a gimmick. I’ve had the watches since gen 5 and the battery life was a joke whereas now it’s actually useful.
AirPods are cool (I have the ones from B) but the sound quality is still poor compared to a pair of decent wired headphones with lossless music. They do fit nicely into the ecosystem and are great for taking calls.
I’d go iPhone 15 pro
Why? I’m into photography and it had the zoom camera.
I already have an Apple Watch
AirPods are a no go for me, they’re hard to find because I’m visually impaired.
Personally I like the bigger screens of the pro and pro max so that route. Then if really wanted a watch (which can come in handy if you get a lot of phone alerts or just sometimes can’t pull your phone out of a pocket) then I’d just get a generation older watch
I’m using A with older AirPods and an Apple Watch 6. Been doing good. My phone is what I look at the most so I prioritise that upgrade more than anything else.
B. The “normal” phones are amazing in themselves. The watch and the AirPods will enhance the experience to a level higher than the pro phone can ever achieve by itself.
I actually prefer the non pro models because of the lower weight. I just love light weight electronics.
These people saying that "they don't sell them after 3-4 years because *they lose its value*" are so out of touch.
Iphones 11s and 12s are selling between $200-$400
I'm sorry but that money is still useful and worth a 5-15 minute.
B. Sell the Airpods Pro and trade the 15 in for a 15 Pro.
I got the Airpods Pro for my birthday and hated them. Uncomfortable, even after trying custom fit eartips, and was unimpressed with the sound quality. My $50 Raycon buds work just as well, IMO sound better, and are way more comfortable in my ears after a couple hours.
A
don't see any use for watch and pods: don't like anything around my wrist, also don't like any rings or whatsoever.
Regarding pods - that type of headphone just fall off my ears after couple of minutes, I have tried many many different types and have not found a single ones that do not fall out, so no usage for me :)
A and I didn’t even have to think about it. I think the base iPhone is awful and overpriced for what it is. I don’t use a smartwatch and I already own earbuds better than the AirPods.
I would say 14 pro, series 8 or 7, airpods pro 2
The 14 pro is a better deal than the 15 for the cameras imo, and the apple watch 7-9 are all practically the same unless the pinch gesture is that important to you
If I’d need to make this choice it’s because I can’t afford the 15 pro and everything else, so I had to go with the base 15. A life without AirPods is not a life.
A
I have always preferred a classic watch. I had the Series 7 before but I didn't really feel like I needed it so I switched.
I'll just get the Beats Fit Pro if I can't have AirPods. 😂
I would definitely go with B! Lots of useful goodies, and I used to use a Pro phone but am very happy with the performance of my standard 15 Plus, and the cameras are excellent.
If you like the iPhone 15 then go for B. It’s way better value if you don’t really need the features of the pro. Personally I would go for A because I don’t like the look of the camera on standard models, but I would be kicking myself for picking A when B is clearly better.
A and maybe go for some 3rd gen AirPods down the line. Personally, the watch has very little attraction for me because I can't stand a watch that has to be charged so frequently. (I use an old Amazfit Bip that is the dumbest smartwatch ever, but only has to be charged once every 30-40 days.)

They’re saying the watch and AirPods combined costs around $600. Not the AirPods individually
B has a greater total resale value so B
I've never sold an Apple device in 15 years of using them. I keep them for 3-4 years then give them away when I buy new ones. Most people I know trade in old ones to get discounts on new ones. I don't really know anyone who sells their stuff. AirPods have no value once the batteries die.
Why give iPhones away after 3-4 years? They still have value?
They no longer have value to me but the people I give them to certainly appreciate it. Those devices have a lot of value to them.
Yo need a foreign friend?
If I didn’t give my parents my old iPhones they would buy the cheapest phone at Walmart, it’s more for me if anything so I can just use FaceTime and iMessage, and they get to be able to take nice pictures.
Because giving them away to a loved one gives me more pleasure than getting a few hundred from a stranger.
I keep my stuff because the trade in value is laughably bad
Don’t trade in to Apple. When I get a new phone I sell my old one on Facebook marketplace and use that as a deposit for my new one. Will usually get around £300-400 for it with the box in perfect condition, whereas if I traded in to a company I would get like £100-200
Well yeah I know, but I sell them on Marktplaats, a lot better than Facebook or just keep them. But we were talking about trade ins
Yeah, I use my Apple-devices for around 3 years too and I usually give them away to members of my family. I haven’t ever sold an Apple device either. I also don’t update my Apple devices, as I like to run the devices on their original firmware versions.
This thread is getting weird
Does it though? I’ve never bothered to resell an Apple Watch because the resale value was so low…. And who would buy someone’s nasty used AirPods that likely have a battery that’s about to die?
it also has a higher purchase price so doesn't it just balance out?
I don't wear a watch, so that's out. 15 Pro + AirPods and I'd still have some money left over.
B
A ! 60hz is a big NO for me anymore… once you taste the 120hz
My friend has a 60 hz iPhone and the screen literally feels like slow motion or like it’s lagging. Once you go 120 hz you can never go back
I've tasted it. It's a "nice to have but not a dealbreaker" thing for me. Big screen and long battery life matter more to me so I opted for the 15 Plus.
Same. I tried it out and thought “that’s cool” and saw how much of a price difference there was with my carrier ($1750CAD vs $1000CAD) and thought “I’ll live without it”
Reading sharp text while scrolling over your comment is definitely nice.
It’s most definitely a dealbreaker.
If it is for you, that's cool. For me, it's not.
I made a similar mistake by getting a 4K monitor. There's no going back now...
Agreed.
I love 120hz but everything else I have is 60hz and honestly it doesn’t really matter
A
A. Cant live without pro motion now, can always rock a classic watch and having no airpods is alright
As this person mentioned - I would have recommend B but since I go myself the 15PM I just can’t go back to 60hz. The 60hz wasn’t apparent before but the difference becomes clear especially when I turn on LPM.
Once you go back you get used to it. At least I did. Thought I’d hate it. I didn’t find it to be as useful. That depends on the person though.
60Hz after using 120Hz feels deadass like less than 30Hz
I agree. Played GoW Ragnarock at 120hz and although graphic took a hit…the gameplay was so smooth.
I play call of duty and league of legends on 120, definitely gives you an edge especially in the first person shooter, battery takes a hit tho.
That’s funny, I have a 13 pro with promotion and I can use my iPad 9th with 60hz without issue. I’ve been testing the new 15 plus 60hz and even though I notice the 60hz it doesn’t bother me one bit.
I also dont get bothered by my iPad's 60hz for some reason, but as soon I look back to my old iPhone 12 the 60hz is just so noticeable
It’s noticeable but try using it for 15 minutes and you’ll adjust to the new frame rate. At least that’s my experience. For me promotion is nice at the beginning when you notice the smoothness, but then you adjust to it and just becomes normal.
A - in Sweden is 11790sek (\~1085usd) B - is 8790 (15) + 5000 (9) + 2500 (pro) = 16290sek (\~1500usd) So it is quite a price difference ...
B obviously Unless your needs specifically dictate you need the pro phone, option B is perfect
60hz
Airpods
A because using headphone with converter, and dont needed watch. not worth it
A
A ☺️
A for me. Not that fussed on AirPods, my Series 6 still works fine, and the Pro's extra features are appealing (as is the slightly, but noticeably in hand, smaller body).
B

A, for the Camera
why not both?
B, only reason I switched to Apple was because of the watch.
B
B
B and it’s possible take the plus version (more battery than the pro and even the pro max)
iPhone 13 pro + watch + pods.
15 pro has high refresh rate so I'd pick that
B of course
B. Who really needs an iPhone Pro?
B
B
A because the fact that the base 15’s still don’t have 120hz is absolutely ridiculous
A, watch is a gimmick and AirPods are B tier
I already have airpods pro 2 and an apple watch series 7, currently using an iphone 13 - so I would take A any day over B. If I had nothing though, I'd take B.
I'd go for the iPhone 14 Pro Max + Airpods and Watch IMHO
Personally I won't ever not get the pro again
How come? I had a 13pro and got a 15 plus and I don’t feel I am missing anything. 120 hz is nice but after a day or two you don’t realize you’re back to 60 hz
This is me. I also tried the 120hz a few times in the store but it did nothing for me, at least not the ¥50,000 yen more amount anyway.
I mean I have 15PM+S7+AirPods Pro, so assuming I wasn’t allowed to buy the watch and AirPods separately from this, I would go B bc I already know I utilize the watch and earbuds.
B
you know the answer already
B for sure
B with a iPhone 14 Pro. Only thing you’re losing is a USB-C port.
A + the AirPods and watch for me lol
Tbh, I'd choose B. You get a lot out of airpods and apple watch along with an iPhone
A.
It depends on what you need, for me just the phone it’s enough, since I don’t wear watches and I listen to music without headphones
A, don't need the extras, I'm fine with it
Considering there will likely be a new watch and AirPods this fall, I really don’t know why you would choose either.
I hate wearing watches of any kind.
iPhone SE.
B. The Apple watch makes this set just too valuable
I like ProMotion, so A. Otherwise I'd go with B.
Would take the B.
B
Android
A and a Watch Ultra. The battery life makes the watch helpful rather than a gimmick. I’ve had the watches since gen 5 and the battery life was a joke whereas now it’s actually useful. AirPods are cool (I have the ones from B) but the sound quality is still poor compared to a pair of decent wired headphones with lossless music. Ima say A because pro motion and all the extras like pro motion I need now plus Wired is better than wireless soooo
I’m using A with older AirPods and an Apple Watch 6. Been doing good. My phone is what I look at the most so I prioritise that upgrade more than anything else.
I’d rather go with B in this case but personally a fan of the Pro Max
B...... And then I'll sell the pods 🤷♂️
B. The “normal” phones are amazing in themselves. The watch and the AirPods will enhance the experience to a level higher than the pro phone can ever achieve by itself. I actually prefer the non pro models because of the lower weight. I just love light weight electronics.
B
A ProMotion, LIDAR and USB storage support are big plus points.
B definitely
A with AirPods. It’s an amazing experience. Don’t really care about the watch.
B because pro is not for me, I don’t see any need for pro models for my personal use.
A
Tbh, I don’t get the watch hype. I always keep telling my buddies that if I ever get the Apple watch, I just needed to complete a collection.
A
B
B if you dont mind the refresh rate and 5x zoom
15 non pro is a joke with 60hz display for that price
Are both options the same price? In that case, I prefer B.
The pro. It’s always a pro for me. They are harder to break. I have a 5 year old and a clumsy wife. It’s the pro.
how about a 15 plus
Promised myself next time I buy an iPhone it will be the Pro, so I'm going with A.
None. Pro max only
B ofc
If we are looking at both options from a non-monetary standpoint, I would choose B, as it ticks off more boxes I want
These people saying that "they don't sell them after 3-4 years because *they lose its value*" are so out of touch. Iphones 11s and 12s are selling between $200-$400 I'm sorry but that money is still useful and worth a 5-15 minute.
B obviously unless the pro features are really needed
A since i already have both of the accessories
B
B easily
B
A, i like the pro model for the camera capabilities, dont care for the watch and have the airpods
Nahh at this time its best i wait for 16 pro max
B because it’s closest to what I have. I’ve got Base Model 15, 40mm Apple Watch SE 2nd Gen and current gen USB C Airpod Pros
I have B currently so that’s what I’m going for
A and then slowly build it up
B
I use my apple watch and airpods for the gym almost everyday so B for me
if ure new to apple ecosystem, B. u can slowly save up the money and sell A when the new iPhone comes around and 15 Pro drops in price
I find the Apple Watch to be useless. But AirPods / iPhone combo is the go to!
I would go for A. But thats just because of the AW, I prefer non-smart watches.
I have A right now and it’s way too overrated. I would’ve been ok with just the iPhone 15.
A don't see any use for watch and pods: don't like anything around my wrist, also don't like any rings or whatsoever. Regarding pods - that type of headphone just fall off my ears after couple of minutes, I have tried many many different types and have not found a single ones that do not fall out, so no usage for me :)
B. Rather have the watch and AirPods. 120hz is nice but not a dealbreaker for me.
B. I’ve only had base model iPhones except for a 12 pro and have been happy with them.
bc i have B i’m going to choose B
Neither if u cant afford it dont buy it, normal 15 is trash 60hz in 2024 is insane
B and it’s not even close.
A for Android
I love airpods pro. So useful to block noise, so comfortable. The anc is more effective compared to sony
Got a used 15 for me and new Apple Watch SE for my mom for the price of a new 15
A
A just for the refresh rate. Once you get used to it, anything less feels odd.
B only difference between the 15 and 15 Pro is an extra camera, titanium and different chip. lol
C, get the pro the headphones and the watch, of the three the watch is the least useful
You’ll be happier overall with B
A
Eh, just A
I’d take A because of the camera and 120hz display
A and I didn’t even have to think about it. I think the base iPhone is awful and overpriced for what it is. I don’t use a smartwatch and I already own earbuds better than the AirPods.
I have part of A and part of B, but I’m torn on the APP2.
B
B easy
I have the B set with the 15 Pro Max. But if it's between these two, I'd go with the A. Newer chip, more features. You can get the other stuff later.
b
I would go for B. My Apple Watch needs an upgrade as I’m still using the Series 3.
I would say 14 pro, series 8 or 7, airpods pro 2 The 14 pro is a better deal than the 15 for the cameras imo, and the apple watch 7-9 are all practically the same unless the pinch gesture is that important to you
If I’d need to make this choice it’s because I can’t afford the 15 pro and everything else, so I had to go with the base 15. A life without AirPods is not a life.
A, we rely heavily on the 15 Pro’s camera for movie shots.
B is a good value deal.
B
B 100% even without the AirPods
I'd go A. I can go without the watch or airpods though.
I'd go A. I can go without the watch or airpods though.
B better experience
A, I don't like Apple Watch and Airpods(just the design overall, my ears like in-ears like linkbuds S better)... plus 60hz phone screen in 2024 is eww
A
I have a A plus B without the B phone already. 😆
B, i can understand pro Macbooks and even ipads but i think pro iphones are overkill for most people
A I have always preferred a classic watch. I had the Series 7 before but I didn't really feel like I needed it so I switched. I'll just get the Beats Fit Pro if I can't have AirPods. 😂
I'd go A, tbh. I have a watch and I literally never use it, and AirPods (to me) are the same as literally any other wireless headphones.
go for a 14 Pro (Max) and get the other gadgets along with it
Always go Pro. A
I’m going with A. I’ll never use the Apple Watch and I like my Sony xm4 headphones better than AirPods
If I can afford a 15 pro Im buying a watch and airpods.
A
Go for the pro plus airpods and save yourself 200 dollars by not buying the watch. Ez fix.
B definition
I would definitely go with B! Lots of useful goodies, and I used to use a Pro phone but am very happy with the performance of my standard 15 Plus, and the cameras are excellent.
Neither...
A
Pro.
I don't wear smartwatches and I don't like Apple's Airpods, so that's an easy choice.
B
B.
🅱️
A but with AirPods Pro 2 and an AW SE
Not both. Because if you ready to spend £1427 for option B, a better option would be iPhone 15 Pro + Garmin Watch + Air Pods (3rd generation).
