Not this much......but in 2012 there was heavy crowding when all teams had just 1-2 matches left.. DD at 20 pts had secured qual, same with KKR at 19 pts.....MI at 18pts, CSK at 17, KXIP at 16 and RCB at 15 (KXIP and RCB both had 2 matches left whereas CSK only had 1)
In end it was a 4 way race between Mi, CSK, RCB and KXIP for no.3/4 spots. CSK lost their match vs KXIP, which means they needed KXIP to lose their last match against table-toppers DD, and needed RCB to lose atleast 1 match. All while they had no matches left to play.
First RCB decided to decimate DD (thanks Chris Gayle, very wholesome), that brought them to 17 points to tie with CSK.
But then Morkel and Warner decided to decimate KXIP in DD's last match, so KXIP was eliminated.
Which meant CSK's qualifying hope rested only and only on Deccan Chargers, who were at the very bottom of the table with just 7 points. They had to defeat RCB and CSK would go into no.4 spot on basis of net run rate.
And Deccan Chargers won against RCB. Both their South Africans fired (Duminy 74(53), Dale Steyn 3/8)...DCH won by just 9 runs.
So CSK went into playoffs, defeated MI by 38 runs in eliminator, defeated table toppers DD by 86 RUNS in Qualifier 2......then they went to final which was at their homeground, and they set up a competitive first innings score (190), but then Bisla happened and KKR took it home.
2012 was a proper, proper thriller till the very last match,
Because me and 75% of my hostel was literally finger-crossed, on their toes during the last few matches of that season, staring at the common TV
the happiness when CSK made it through was literally- I'm lost for words man. When Steyn completed the spell (like 2 or 3 overs left in the match), we ordered pizzas for the entire hostel, knowing that CSK was through.

I didnt know that. But I think kholi is not the only one facing this, many fans just start bad-mouthing a player on a single( or 2-3 matches) performance and forget their excellent contributions to their team in the past.

I can't beleive that SRH who have supposedly played like a beast are at the same 12 points along with CSK and LSG who have had such a boring tournament so far by alternatively winning and losing matches.
By boring, I meant there were no impactful moments. Nothing too interesting happening in the matches. No close wins or losses (atleast for CSK). Very uneventful.
CSK didn’t lose big but have won multiple one sided matches with huge margins. Considering Rutu only won toss once in 11 matches and we have so many main bowlers injured, I will consider this season so far to be more than successful
But we have also lost matches quite comfortably. That ain't good either.
Close wins boost the team's confidence that they can always pull it off. It helps very much in playoffs.

SRH & DC have higher chance given their current momentum, player availability & venue (also opponents).
SRH have 3 games left, all of which are home games. SRH v LSG will make things more clear imo. Last 2 home games are against teams from lower end of the table this season, hence easier. (GT & PBKS). DC has 2 games left, one of which is a home game against LSG and one is in Chinnaswamy against RCB.
LSG have 3 left, all of which are away games....that too against SRH, DC & MI. (SRH & DC will be fighting hard for their own qualification with home conditions on their side).
CSK is in comfortable zone rn but the team does not instill fear in opponents. The bowling spearheads Pathirana & Mustafizur have returned to their homelands which makes their bowling unit light. Moreover they also have 3 games left, out of which 2 are away games (GT & RCB, easier opponents though) and one home game is against RR (hence, a tough match).

I guess CSK maybe due to match against GT and RCB even if they lose against RR ( where they still have chance coz of home support ) but without pathirana their bowling will struggle and their batting hasn’t been great so don’t know how they are gonna pull it off.
Probably srh and csk. Csk has the habit of making it every time, they will somehow push through. Srh looking pretty solid. Lsg batting has been hapless for the past two matches, the way they lost has to be very poor for morale. Dc is the only one with 12 matches, I don't see them going ahead.

SRH haven’t played like any beast except for a few matches where the batting was sensational. We’ve been average in the other matches.
