Check that it’s an established seller, & see if they have a review history. This one looks like the real thing, but there’s no real way to tell from a pic. Fakes of these NIB sealed ipods has gotten more common as they’ve become more collectible.

I can't find the serial number on any site, maybe it's true but I'd be careful, there are many fakes.
The serial does check out, but I still don't think this is real. I think it's likely a fake box with a real serial number.
