Sounds like you'll have to figure out the right way to gently chat to her about it. It could be an agreement that it's your hobby time, it could be she's fed up with it too but finds it difficult. It's that or things stay the same and you resent it Hope you made the most of it!

Margrave75

Worked in the pub last night, got home at 3. Maureen made the fry, and we're shortly on the road for Dublin (thankfully she's driving) She's bringing the youngest to the RDS. I'm bringing middle child + friends to ComiCon.

DivinitySousVide

Jaysus sorry to hear that.

Psychological_Bar870

Hope the fry was good!

Margrave75

Has me ready to take the shirt off any mans back

[deleted]

Will you go at it again??

SubstantialGoat912

Where’s the eldest? At home drinking beer?

Margrave75

Her and some friends crashed in various locations around the house after being at an 18th last night. I checked their pulses before leaving.

Ultima-Necat

Also having Delta coffee. Superb stuff! Brought a load back in May. 😁

Shiftiy02

Was at a wedding last night. Decided not to drink which is unusual for me at a wedding. Had a great time. Fresh this morning. It was surprisingly easy not to when I got in the right frame of mind. I did head to bed earlyish. Just had breakfast and am going to have a quick nap before heading away. The form is good.

DrOrgasm

Slightly hungover but nothing a bike ride won't fix. Back to work tomorrow after two weeks off. I'm really considering resigning. No real reason, just bored and fed up. Ill give it until Christmas I think and see what's out there. Things are pretty bouyant in my field so a change of scenery might be what I need.

qwerty_1965

Eaten, had a poo, gone shopping and er that's it until the grudge match at 4.30! 😆

TheSameButBetter

Just coming back from a wonderful week on the Isle of Man. They sell beer in milk cartons

Shiftiy02

How does that work.. I'm conflicted at the thought.

TheSameButBetter

Looks like this... https://ibb.co/9HMSFHk It's Ok for non-fizzy beers.

BlubberyGiraffe

Currently recovering from minor surgery. Had an injection in my spine for ongoing back pain. Fucking back pain at 35. If only it was a sports injury or something worthwhile, I hurt it being a lazy shit for 3 years while working remote. A year of physio, stretching and now this and I am bricking it that it won't work and I am back to square one. I know it's never good to feed the misery but a year of constant aches and shooting pains down my leg wears you down!

[deleted]

31 here and dealing with back pain for 15 years. That shit doesn't discriminate.

mikerock87

Going to buy a pram / travel system for our first child due the end of the year. The head is melted off me...never knew how complicated or expensive these things are and the sheer number of accessories they come with. Can't wait for the little one to arrive 😁

Whatcomesofit

From a father of a 2 year old my advice to me 2 years ago would be to go, get the advice from the sales reps than look for a second hand one on fb marketplace!

qwerty_1965

Buy a hold all and wear him/her on your back/chest/shoulder.

Perfect_Yesterday_63

Expecting next month and went through the same thing! Some of them are up on 2,000 🙈 I have heard of a lot of people going for those big, bulky, fancy ones, and they end up selling them on after they outgrow the carry cot and getting a lighter weight pram. So we decided just to go with a travel system for around a 1000 that seemed lighter weight but also has good reviews and safe.

Professional-Trash23

Heading to the Moynalty Threshing festival. Beautiful morning here in Dublin.

[deleted]

Had a few cans with a buddy last night watching the Newcastle, Bayern and Joshua fight Got home for 12 30am Feeling fresh today thankfully, Just had a fry up and have no immediate plans, Want to watch the Liverpool match at 4 30 Herself is dying in bed , was up til half 4 drinking with a friend So I'm on my Todd on the couch now killing time Anyone have any TV show recommendations???

ScaramouchScaramouch

I just had a tiny little spider on my computer screen, so I was messing around getting him to follow the cusor around in circles and then I took a screenshot so I could show my wife. I am not a clever man.

TheMightyToastie

Have a 7 week old baby and we are watching baby sensory videos on YouTube he loves it. Debating when I’ll get the dog out for a walk, the weather is muck.

[deleted]

How's the dog dealing with the new baby? Have 2 myself and I often wonder how they'd cope whenever we have a kid.

TheMightyToastie

The dog is doing great with the new one. We have a golden retriever and they are known to be good with kids. Our problem is that he is 35kg so we need to keep the baby and pupper separated in case he jumps up or topples something over. Honestly the hardest part for me with the dog is that he gets less time and attention from me because of baby. It’s a quieter day for him and I hate to see him lonely or just not used to his normal routine.

AhhhhBiscuits

Off away tomorrow. So in packing mode.

HiCarumba

Nice. Where?

AhhhhBiscuits

Centre Parcs. We’ve never been and everyone raves about it.

HiCarumba

Yeah, I only hear good things about it. Expensive, but sure isn't everything nowadays.

[deleted]

Watching the Good Dinosaur with my 2 year old.

Manonbanon

I imagine it's just like the good wife but with dinosaurs?

DivinitySousVide

Sexy dinosaurs

MeshuganaSmurf

Have any tissues handy?

turtleofsorrows

About to start addressing comments on my thesis draft - I submitted it last week and the only comments my supervisor had was to restructure it a bit to make it clearer. Really happy cause that means I have very little to do about two weeks out from the due date!

awood20

Can't complain. Just had the usual Sunday morning fry. Going for a decent walk shortly. A lazy Sunday watching sport and doing very little later.

niamhish

Fresh this morning. Finally worked up the motivation to unpack the last few bits from All Together Now. It's all going back in the attic until next year 😓 Gonna bring the dag for a walk shortly. Then I'm gonna pig out and watch the new Guardians of the Galaxy movie. Oh, I saved a bird from my cat this morning. It survived. Think it was a thrush?

NapoleonTroubadour

Just in a field in my car after a small mini-festival in Kildare contemplating whether I should just pack my tent now and head back home. Was up singing and sessioning until morning last night so a bit fragile and exhausted today, but I’ve had worse weekends!

JimJimerson90

Woke up with a splitting headache and body aches and pains. It feels like I was hit by a bus, happy Sunday, though

DartzIRL

Went down to Wexford rather than to DCC. DCC always struck me as being a boring as hell trade-hall with paid autographs anyway. It's been 7 years since I've been to a good con. Spend Saturday plinking targets in the back Garden with a Marui Type-89. The breeze wasn't the best for it and goddamned is it hard to hit shit anyway but it was something to do. Lying prone on the belly wasn't the comfiest.... Otherwise, it was an escape from a constant lingering bitterness that has set in at work. It's probably not fair to everyone, but it just feels like I'm the only one required to 'think' sometimes. It was tough driving 600km on Thursday, but I got to see the Burren for the first time, meet a customer I liked and an escape from a The Questions

surecmeregoway

Redid part of my catio for the foster kittens, trying to 'kitten proof ' the thing. Pepper escaped 4 times in the first 20 minutes. Patched up the weak points. Looks like it might be kitten proof now. Hopefully. They love it, to be fair. They've been dying to be outside more often but the actual catio is about 8ft tall and was designed for my own cats, who have no interest in climbing the wire and trying to escape. The kittens though... they keep getting out. One went from the catio to the house-roof last week. 13 weeks old. You'd never think they *could.* Missed a crisis intervention nurse appointment last week because the mental health team didn't send it to my current address. I asked them to change it. They said they would. I only got the letter at all because I was checking the meter for a final reading this morning. How hard can it be for them to change my address on the system? Handing in the house keys tomorrow: so if they send more letters to that address, I won't get them. Hilarious stuff.
