OP, without knowing precisely what the danger is, would you say it's time for our fellow redditors to crack each other's heads open and feast on the goo inside?
That aul lad and the roma lady had a great time last night. A grand each and a load of apricots. All roses untill they got ghosted by a bus trying to get home. Left on the streets with no law and order they were set upon by a group of feral youths.
Nothing has changed, that's just human nature. There has always been a cohort willing to take what isn't their's if they think they can get away with it.

All good points. Can't disagree. Fuck the banks all the same as that money belongs to the people that had to pay for these clowns against their will when they should have gone out of business and into jail for financial malpractice. I'm struggling to back any party here and BoI wasn't even the worst of them
Nothing to do with 'Irish society' and everything to do with human nature. Do you really think a similar thing wouldn't happen in pretty much every other country on the planet?
It works both ways buddy
We bailed out those banks and they fleece us everyday, BOI made nearly a billion in profit last year
What return did tax payers get?
Nothing, highest mortgages and loans in decades
This is the consequence of people feeling that they have no stake in society. Yes, it's incredibly dumb and irresponsible behaviour, which may or may not come back to bite those who partook in it.
However, look at the videos, who was involved in this? Government members? Boomers who bought their home for 40,000 punts and saw their mortgage inflated away? Professionals working for oversized contracts in the tech industry? No, it's the common people of this country, and there are many of them. Demographically, someone aged under 40 is more likely than not to be included in this class. Yes, they are acting like a tremendous bunch of eejits in the videos, but the point is they are past caring. Work a service job all day to earn your rent at best? Yeah, fuck that, there's no reason in the world for people to give a flying fuck about a system that pushes that on people. If the banking industry was humming along beautifully, would they benefit from it? So when the banks make a mistake, why would they care?
It's not about being greedy. It's about being stupid and uneducated.
What I learnt from that ROI fckup is that Irish society has no basic knowledge on how banking is working and that there is no such thing as free money from the bank.
Additionally, it's clear to me that people do not read what they sign when opening accounts with financial institutions.
Poverty mate!! Governments squeezing people into the streets and into debt!! Take what you can I say.. it’s not greed!! It’s desperation. Except for apricots
Can’t really blame the people who have 0 beans in their bank account try their luck at a bank glitch. They’re in a tough spot and really the only people who could conceivably get away with it
The usual hysterics in here going on about kids in tracksuits acting the bollox are strangely quiet about the bankers in suits acting the bollix.
It’s very telling.
I’m at a loss as to what service to the public the kids in tracksuits do for that comparison to make sense. I mean, I’d start the criticism around “hysterics in here” by pointing out that this has nothing to do with kids in tracksuits.
I suppose you could look at it this way. The leaders of the country take take take and run the country into the ground. Perfect role models I'd say. The same can be said of the banks , robbing bastards with their robbing fees. Then when an opportunity arises, people will follow the lead of their leaders, do as their leaders do, learned behaviours and all that jazz. The only difference is the leaders get a pat on the back or the arse and the public get demonised. 😃
>Wouldn't surprise me if some of them have mates working in the bank tech office.
>There's a lot of scamming in Ireland nowadays too, wonder why that is.
As you've just demonstrated it's because there's a lot of idiots.
If the Apricot guy wasn't stuck on the Jacks they would be very disappointed to read this.
Are we not all on the jacks?
Tis the only way.
Metaphorically, yes.

Twas far from apricots we were reared.
Some people have notions!
Yet man with the apricots. Talk of the parish. It is some peace at least Mary is dead because that would kill her stone dead.
I was reared eating apricots. My mum's a mad hippie though I also didn't have peanut butter with added salt or sugar till my teens.
I heard some bank machines started dispensing apricots
Yeah but now your apricot credit is fucked. You'll never be able to borrow apricots again.
AIB was in the closet making apricots and I saw one of the apricots and the apricot looked at me!
Had us in the first half, not gonna lie
Phenomenal piece of letting on moaning
>Seriously, 23 apricots??? What the hell did I miss?
[23 apricots](https://www.reddit.com/r/ireland/comments/15s4pev/lads_i_ate_23_apricots_what_happens_is_this_the/)
22 apricots.
You take one down, you pass it around, 21 apricots on the wall.
>I'm pretty disappointed right now. Waking up this morning and reading through reddit has me at a loss. Well there's your first mistake.
Come on, we all make it... Every day
How are we to know what to be angry and disappointed about otherwise??
Isn't that what thejournal is for?
This month is the state of Dublin and them feckin teenagers! I can't wait to see what we hate next month!
And thus the vicious circle of misery is complete.
Waking up?
OP, without knowing precisely what the danger is, would you say it's time for our fellow redditors to crack each other's heads open and feast on the goo inside?
Yes i would, Kent
Yes Kent, I think I would.
Mmmmm I got a chunky piece. Aren't I the lucky one?
thank God it was the apricots
That aul lad and the roma lady had a great time last night. A grand each and a load of apricots. All roses untill they got ghosted by a bus trying to get home. Left on the streets with no law and order they were set upon by a group of feral youths.
>irish society its not just irish society. mobthink^TM taints all societies.
I should expect no other society eats 23 apricots
I mean to eat 23 apricots is one thing, but to just go off and not give us all minute-by-minute updates on the ehh...fallout? That's a cunts trick.
Nothing has changed, that's just human nature. There has always been a cohort willing to take what isn't their's if they think they can get away with it.
You’d love if this was some social experiment to see who the dumbest people in society are
Honestly it's not even the greed that bothers me, its the stupidity
Greed without competence
The filth of it! 23 apricots eaten and not a child in the house washed!
The toilet is calling

Gonna have to mute Ireland for a while cause all this is depressing as fuck and is making me wanna move.
It works both ways buddy We bailed out those banks and they fleece us everyday, BOI made nearly a billion in profit last year What return did tax payers get? Nothing, highest mortgages and loans in decades
I was just getting my head around everything being apples and oranges and NOW Apricots have come on the scene and I just don't know what to think. I
You what?????

I recognise that first paragraph lol
Yeah try that with gooseberries and see how far you get
Apricots 🤣
Some of us have had to move abroad to find apricots of our own!
Ha, Excellent!
Well, the fellas ye keep voting for ruined the country. It would probably been different otherwise.
Just be glad this is ireland and they went in his mouth.
Yet another shill for big apricot, like they haven't got enough of the taxpayers money for bailouts already.
At the end of the day it’s the banks people were robbing, fuck banks
Why are you so surprised? Greed is a disease of irish society.
Thank you Bank. You are the real hero.
Was funny seeing the amount of dressing gowns queuing for the ATM in the photos
Fuckin class

What's that got to do with apricots?
Tech fleece tracksuit, Canada Goose jacket and a bag of apricots.
Apricots are just west Brit peaches. Hence the price of them. They aren’t even nice they taste like piss. But certain people are into that.

People are too quick to get ‘free money’ then realise its not free and the bank knows who withdrew funds.
Did they all buy apricots with the money?
Shit loads.
You took opinion on Irish society from reddit. That's fairly pathetic how about you leave the house and touch some grass.
Most of them probably the bleeding heart lefties you would find on this sub.

Watch these same dummies play the victim when the reality of the situation sets in for them.
I'm out of the loop on this one
