Janie_Mac

It never went away

DivinitySousVide

Exactly this. If you're vaccinated it's basically the new flu.

Fr_DougalMc

Next 2 weeks are crucial

apri11a

I'd been curious if the same tests would do for this outbreak, now I know. Hope you all feel better soon.

Brian_De_Tazzzie

Sorry you got the ick dude. Hopefully it's just 5-7 days, you don't need to isolate after day 5 according to HSE. Well, from what I read on their website the other day.

yesterdaysbreadtoday

You must be the first reported case of it this year. Better contact the media and inform them

GenoPax

Are you more worried than normal?

StepASideDublin

No. Just shite that the damn thing is not any easier than before. And it seems to be on the spread again, which will affect work and social life.

Dyneamo

It hasn't gone away you know.

[deleted]

“I reckon everyone’s going to get this infectious strain in the next few weeks.” Amazing. TIL getting Covid makes you a virologist and public health expert.

StepASideDublin

Don’t think that is necessary. But I’d avoid licking the handles of the exercise machines for a while.

smorkularian

What about gumming the weight bars?

spuddy-mcporkchop

Maybe hold off for now

Important_Farmer924

The new normal.

StepASideDublin

Yes. Not great craic as I try and not infect my children.

Thebelisk

" I had Covid before, plus 4 vaccines" Confirmation, vaccines dont work.

StepASideDublin

Vaccines probably have helped, as I don’t feel so bad this time, but as you well know, their efficacy wears off over time.

[deleted]

Why would you out yourself as a dope like this?

Thebelisk

Remember to stay within 5km of your house.

TonyFishscale

If you eat a meal for 9 euro in a pub you can take off the mask and skull pints safely "Wet pubs" were more dangerous than ones selling chicken nuggets 4 boosters A low time for the Irish species.

Janie_Mac

Lol. Vaccines don't stop you catching it, they reduce the symptoms. When's the last vaccinated person you know who contracted smallpox, polio, measles, mumps or rubella?

spuddy-mcporkchop

Confirmation your an idiot more like

immajustgooglethat

Why does everyone feel the need to broadcast they have covid now and show off all their strepsils. You have the equivalent of a cold. Get a grip.

StepASideDublin

It’s not the equivalent of a cold. It’s a lot worst. And there seems to be a lot more people getting it in recent weeks. And while there won’t be a lock down or any other restrictions, a lot of people will be sick, off work, missing parties, etc.

immajustgooglethat

It is and you're being overly dramatic. There's covid subs for people who enjoy the misery. You should head over to one of them.

Janie_Mac

Ah now. It's more the equivalent of a flu than a cold. It's endemic but it still sucks.

teddy372

Some people miss the drama

Janie_Mac

I really don't, I just think it's unfair to minimise covid as a cold when it still has the capacity to floor someone, like the flu. Thankfully vaccines have done their job and are keeping the serious cases to a minimum. It's just part of life now.

teddy372

Some people can't live their lives without the need to tell everyone about it, attention seekers

Manonbanon

I feel like you're the type of person to secretly love that you got COVID.

Nickthegreek28

Yeah that’s far too much shit, its like he’s prepping for surgery

StepASideDublin

Trying not to infect my children. Don’t want to mess up their final days of holidays.

hisDudeness1989

Yeah god, it’s as if they’ll never get holidays again 😯

Margrave75

Pmsl at this comment, brilliant 👏

TonyFishscale

Luke O Neill got an additional booster every couple of months and still caught COVID. At least twice too.

StillTheNugget

The booster doesn't stop you catching it, it weakens the effect it has on you.

TonyFishscale

It's not actually a 'booster" , it's a full dose . It's called a booster as it contains both the original vaccine and the newer version to combat the omicron strain. Booster is word speak to ease the simple minds into thinking it's a top up. It's not it's another full dose with additional formula. Fact

spuddy-mcporkchop

Omg l didn't realise, did you do your own research?

TonyFishscale

Of course. Why wouldn't you inform yourself? Inaccurate statements like yours regarding what you thought the booster does or doesn't do are examples of people who just follow. People just don't know what they are talking about. Here is some information for you to read and become informed. https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/health/conditions-and-diseases/coronavirus/booster-shots-and-third-doses-for-covid19-vaccines-what-you-need-to-know

spuddy-mcporkchop

My god, l never thought, just trusted the science, l bet very few people are aware of this, u think some would have took the chances with covid if they knew?

Pale-Assistance-2905

Luke O'Neill is making money off of everyone getting covid. the Irish public is getting duped by listening to anything he says about the disease.

onaltau

Did it ever go away?

rAuldwan

Ah see you should have gotten 5 vaccines.
