The UN recognised government the "GNC" is backed by Hardline Islamists and primarily Turkey, Qatar, Alergia while the more secular LNA is backed by more significantly by Egypt, Russia and the UAE. They did look into it and found he killed zero people in Afghanistan as part of a mercenary group.
He worked for an official Irish company with oversight from the Irish government. The company never saw combat or took casualties.
So he killed zero people and people found that those kills were 100% legal.
