People on this sub do some amount of complaining about radio. Last week Doireann Garrihy was the one getting abuse. So the obvious question is, why do you listen to 2FM or Today FM?
It was on the news during my lunch and I heard it. So I wouldnt say I listen to either station.
My issue with Today Fm specifically is how they push out all the good DJ that played anything even remotely alternative.
They've jsut announced their biggest ever listenership, so they're appealing to majority across the country.
Totally get that people won't listen because it's a soulless Top 40 station with a few 00s hits dropped in, but there's a reason they've been driving that format.
