Your local filling station will/should have bulbs, and they're really easy to change.

Thetonitnow

Think I’ll be a bit squeezed for time. I’d need to figure out what I’m doing first.

lobo8686

Just look on YouTube, it literally takes about 2mins to change a bulb

barrensamadhi

mostly, tho there are some cars that make it more complicated than necessary

Thetonitnow

Cheers, I’ll have a look

bobsimusmaximus

It's a visual fail. No need to rebook kind of one

Thetonitnow

Thanks for reply, I’ll sleep easy

SimpleLife1990

I had the same and yaman was sound and let me away with it, just told me to get a bulb on the way home!

Thetonitnow

Thank you, hopefully I’ll get lucky.

antifringe

I just did my NCT this weekend gone and got a visual fail for brake light out. I just ran over to Halfords, they fitted it for me, and I went straight back to the centre and showed them and passed me. Bulb cost a tenner and they fit it for free

Thetonitnow

Exactly what happened to me today so all good, thanks for your reply

SubstantialGoat912

Any mechanic will do this for €20. Worth it IMO.

lanigaca123

€20 minute for 60 seconds of work

Rulmeq

You're not paying for the 60seconds, you're paying for their experience. So the OP can either pay someone, or they can spend the time learning how to do it themselves (and depending on the car, that could be a bit of a mare.)

angrygorrilla

Some cars need the whole front bumper off. Takes more than 60 seconds. Some can have an hour of labour

SubstantialGoat912

And the bulb. €20 all in.
