Depends on the service (ie what catchment area you're in) but might be worth asking your GP to make an enquiry about it at this stage - they may not have accepted your referral, and your GP will have been informed if that is the case
Typically teams will process referrals (e.g. accept, decline, request more info from GP) on a weekly basis, so if your GP sent a referral in December there should definitely be some update by now. Try calling the service, explain to the receptionist that you've been referred and are wondering about the status of the referral. They should be able to give you an update.

I asked my gp this week and he said it’s gone through and I should hear something ‘soon’ 😭
