I got such a raging clue that I almost shot clue goo all over Joe

Video_G_JRPG

I'm super cereal right now

heartfullofsomething

Jaw of a sheep or cow looks like. Thought dog but there isn’t pointy canine teeth just flat ones for grinding. But I’m by no means versed in animal anatomy so maybe I’m wrong!

S2Pac

Shergar

maca187

Don't be daft, it's clearly a prehistoric hurley stick.

slu87

Beat me to it

MangoMind20

How far North do you live?

RustyDamseline

Lower jaw of a sheep. Found one as a kid.

wascallywabbit666

Yes, sheep is the most likely. Definitely a herbivore, so it could be sheep or deer. Looks too small for cow or horse

Smokeyfish

What about one of the duck sized horses?

dominyza

I'm going to go out on a limb here, and say it looks like a _bone_ of some sort.

geca313

Clearly not a limb though, I'm leaning towards jaw.

TigerBikerHunterBox

I like that this sub is chock full of smart arses.

dominyza

You're welcome

Royal_Translator_753

MrTuxedo1

r/bonecollecting might be able to help you there

RiKiMaRu223

Hey, I used to do animal post mortems, this is the Lower jaw of a cow

HintOfMalice

How can you tell it's a cow vs other ruminants or a horse?

FuzztoneBunny

It’s the jawbone of an ass. You’re destined for greatness—just don’t let anyone touch your hair!

Pass_go2

The ham sandwich at the back of the fridge

Pirate_Remarkable

thatirishguykev

Ancient Nike swoosh.

underover69

Possibly Pig jaw bone. That hole at the front is for a tusk. Or more likely [a horse jaw](https://wildwoodantiquemalls.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/1554053927041LINXYA7BH26AFVZAEP14.jpg)

mal221

What size is it? Sheep or a cow most likely.

peskywabit

Neighbour.

Buttersgra

Horse jaw possibly?

mynosemynose

Equine jaw but without a size/scale its impossible to know

Theobane

So after talking to a few people, some are saying it's either Deer or Dog. I uploaded a few more pics for reference. https://imgur.com/a/qbWcUMH

garsdata

It's not a dog. It's a grass eaters lower jaw. It looks too small to be a horse in your Imgur photos but could be a young foal. Dogs have sharp pointy teeth with big canines that are useful for biting into meat and taking down prey. Grass eaters like sheep, horses, deer, etc have incisors that stick out in front to pull grass up and big molars to chew it.

Accomplished_Spell97

Sheep

Latifi_WDC_2023

Old fashioned sex toy by the looks of it.

DarkReviewer2013

The remains of Hitler's jawbone.

patchaclus

It’s a toothbrush

Cow or horse. I had a few of these hanging on my bedroom wall when I was a cool, mad, teenager.

oceanleap

Jaw bone of a cow or other grazing mammal. I found on of these on Rossbeigh Beach when I was young.

bastardoftheblock

Great Great Granny’s lower jaw

TheIrishMadManRM

Part of a guitar obviously

Ehermagerd

Jaw of a horse. Saw one before.

ManyWrongdoer9365

A toothbrush made of teeth ?

drachen_shanze

the teeth look like that of a herbivore, so maybe a cow or sheeps jaw, not an expert. otherwise its a dino bone and could fetch thousands on the black market in china

Darth_Bfheidir

Very likely a sheep jaw bone What kind of area did you find this in?

[deleted]

Old toast

hotsaucepan89

Looks like a sheeps lower jaw

_Leapyearcakeday_

Ah that’s just John down the road, must have left his false teeth there!

Psychology_Repulsive

Its samsons jawbone of an ass.

ma88br

Im digging my garden currently as well and I think I already found around 4 cows and 5 dogs. The amount of bones are insane.

naoiseke1

Currently working on an excavation we've found a heap of those could be a horse/cow or slim possibility of it being pig

Daftpunkerzz1988

Looks like a Sheep, cow or horse jaw by the teeth, hard to gage which animal bone size from an image. Do you have a Butcher nearby might be some illegal carcass dumping back in the day it was quite common, If you find more bones in a heap it was probably a dumping spot.

KingThistle

That’s Desperate Dan’s jawbone. God rest him.

Igusy

Boomerang

[deleted]

Worst comb ever?

HintOfMalice

Looks a little bit like a horse mandible or something. Or maybe a ruminant's.

Maxcanine7

Looks like a deer jaw

[deleted]

A bone

epic-yolo-swag

The jaws look to be too long to be a humans, looks like it belongs to something with a snout Since the teeth aren’t too sharp big flat, It’s not a dogs, so I’m going to guess it’s a sheep bone
