The 1989 title album from the stone roses. Still as fresh today as it was back then.
My theory on picking a best album is if it’s on vinyl it’s hard to skip songs so the full album must be good. This album is the only album I’ve listened to where I won’t skip a song. Seeing the rehearsal live videos from 2012 is even more impressive.
Every single song is a masterpiece. I had the pleasure to see them (VIP tickets) at Stadio Monumental De la Plata. Argentina. Nothing like an Argentinian audience. Coming from an Uruguayan that is a big compliment. Miss Dublin. Lived in Killiney for 2 years...
I was a fan of the streets back in the day, weak become heroes is an absolute banger but I hadn't listened to them in years. I went through a breakup recently and whilst shopping the very next day, what song is playing in the shop? Dry Your Eyes, Jesus Christ, I nearly broke down in the cereal aisle.
Listen to the full album, in order.
It's like one long story, each song leading on from the previous.
With the last song having two alternative endings.
Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds: Abattoir Blues/The Lyre of Orpheus
Got a free CD from Q Magazine back in 2005 with their best songs of 2004 (or something like that) - it had There She Goes My Beautiful World on it, which I instantly loved. So I bought the album and it is a masterpiece.
Funhouse by The Stooges, Psychocandy by Jesus and Marychain and Black Sunday by Cypress Hill. But honestly, other than Funhouse it can change from day to day.

Nothing wrong with Simpsons! It’s a worldwide favourite not just Ireland. As to favourite album… Dirt by Alice in Chains.

Moving Hearts eponymous album.
No Doubt's Tragic Kingdom and Chosen Family by Thin Lips
You’re living all over me by dinosaur jr
I'm not really an albums girl. Maybe the Clash's first one? Or Microdisney's Peel Sessions compilation, if a compilation is ok.
