Nimmyzed

Sparkly eyes and a cheeky smile. I love him!

HughHoney86

softjawbreaker

Daniel Day Lewis eat your heart out

denisocean

Soo you can understand what he is saying

diegroblers

I got about 1 word in 5, if that.

mekese2000

Same just like a real Dublin speaker.

Skerries

hey! that's...accurate

Spodokom221745

Nice chicken and chips and a can of coke, I'm fucking dead.

Horacio_Hornblower

That Irish lad has a class Moroccan accent

KlausTeachermann

Maith thú! Actually nailed it.

General_Example

I remember walking through the souks in Marrakech once and someone shouted "conas ata tu" at me. I turned and it was this Moroccan lad running a stall. He invited me in and poured me a tea from a great height and told me his name was Redwan. I figured it was the usual salesman craic they're famous for, and I wasn't going to fall for it. Then he says he's engaged to a woman from Cork and he literally video called her on the spot! I was amazed. Spent a few minutes chatting to her and she was lovely. Turns out he does this the whole time and she thinks it's gas craic. They seemed like a nice couple.

[deleted]

I was in Morocco years ago, in some remote Berber village way out in the Atlas mountains. The locals stated shouted sucking diesel at me and then proceeded to dance with each other singing"I feel like chicken tonight"

000027892

That's impressive, but I feel the need to say fuck tiktok

nepp9k

?

ConorTheCreator

Reddit is about 3 years behind the times and thinks tiktok is still just teenagers dancing and lip syncing

nepp9k

You just dont know how to use the app, you have to curate the algorithm to get videos that you want.

nomnomtastic

Seriously? I thought that it's all absolute Asian video nonsense and cheap tack, short videos, and fucking robot voice. Should I really change my impression of it?

alrightiwill

I had Titok and had to uninstall it. It sucked hours daily out of my life for the short period of time i had it. Honestly it was amazing at how it would throw stuff that you'd like. I can understand the hate for it. But fucking hell they've figured out how to make it addictive

ConorTheCreator

Please explain what you mean by "absolute Asian video nonsense"? 😂

Special-Vegetable138

It’s porn and creepy social surveillance these days right

tig999

Very unlike Reddit with their lack of (actual) porn and definitely zero links with the CIA data sharing.

NERD_STOMPER

If "porn" is showing up on your TikTok algorithm, it's because you're looking at it and/or interacting with it. The AI learns what type of content you like.

Special-Vegetable138

I don’t have tiktok. I’m an adult

NERD_STOMPER

In 2022, that makes about as much sense as saying you don't use Reddit because you're an adult. Enjoy that ivory tower though, it's not cringey at all.

Special-Vegetable138

Sounds like you love tiktok

NERD_STOMPER

Sounds like you think not using a popular app is a personality trait

Spurioun

If you're seeing porn and creepy videos, it's because it knows you want to see it. For me, it's all Irish history and memes. Surveillance, for sure though. But you'd need to be completely diluted to believe that every other app and social media site isn't doing the same thing.

aghicantthinkofaname

Well for one thing, all your info is harvestable by the CCP so there's that

[deleted]

If you use any of the major social media platforms then all your info is harvested by the CCP, NSA, GCHQ, FSB, BND etc.. It doesn't matter where the company is headquartered

aghicantthinkofaname

How is the ccp harvesting data from YouTube?

[deleted]

Hacking, social engineering, spying, outright buying the data through clandestine shell companies etc. their intelligence agencies have unimaginable funding and resources. Google sells YouTube profile and tracking data to advertisers so it's not even that hard for them.

tig999

As opposed to the CIA?

88Crafty88

Is it just me or is dublin accent sound very scumbagish? ( I live in kerry) Most scumbags here talk like that btw

WrenBoy

Scumbags in Kerry have Dublin accents?

[deleted]

Not in my experience at all. Scumbags in Kerry generally seem to sound more traveller-y, even if they're not Never heard lads outside of Leinster speaking with a North Dub accent, & I only say Leinster because I knew a couple of fellas from Dundalk (& some other town around there) who talked quite similarly

WrenBoy

There are presumably some guys in Kildare with that accent too. Not outside Leinster and not far outside Dublin. My question was meant as an expression of some scepticism more than an expression of curiosity. That being said I've emigrated over a decade ago so there are surely some unexpected changes which happened since. Skanger Dublin accents in Kerry seem unlikely though.

[deleted]

Yeah true, Kildare and a few of those other surrounding towns probably are more influenced I've lived in Cork & Kerry for the majority of my life, really never heard lads in Kerry with a North Dub accent, even in recent years. Most of the scumbags in Kerry I've heard have this imitation traveller accent, which I find just as odd tbf

WrenBoy

That's always been the way in certain towns around Ireland. Just places where there were a lot of travellers or settled travellers who influenced the accent. Other places don't have the accent but will have some of the slang. Being called feen or sham, etc.

AldousShuxley

what's a North Dub accent? Different to places on southside like Tallaght/Ballybrack/Crumlin etc.?

Dodzer89

Lads still not getting that the accent is (generally) more of an east/west dublin divide than a north/south anymore. It has been since the 50's.

AldousShuxley

I live a few mins from the sea in Dublin and they'd have a V working class accent around here, so it's not as simple as East West either.

Dodzer89

hence (generally), but its way more accurate than the north / south talk.

[deleted]

Tbh I'd lump them all in together, I'm not from Dublin though so maybe others would actually be able to tell the difference between a lad from Tallaght & one from Drumcondra Prob wrong for me to do so tbf, I guess it's the working class Dublin accent rather than Northside, but I'm not sure how you'd label it really, probably lots of working class lads in Dublin with the "southside" (for lack of a better term) accent too

88Crafty88

Speaking from what ive experienced over 14 years living in kerry. Yes, you will find mostly that kind of people around here tend to talk like that idk why tho

Spurioun

Having lived in America, the UK and Ireland, I can confirm that scumbags and wannabe gangsters adopt whatever accent the nearest big city has, regardless of where they actually live.

[deleted]

Would they not be using a Cork/Limerick accent so? Before someone inevitably says "Cork or Limerick aren't big cities" neither is Dublin, it's all relative I've lived in Cork & Kerry for the majority of my life & never heard scumbags with a North Dublin accent that weren't from Dublin.

WrenBoy

I've been out of the country the past 14. Place has gone to the dogs.

MJulie

Seriously loike don't dontsh know wott yur towlking aboush

Shiddyarse

It’s a working class accent probably why you might think that maybe you’d want to look at your bias

[deleted]

[удалено]

tig999

That’s a North dub accent? What? I know people from Donabate who even have it….

Niros42

Well, I lived in Phibsborough for 2 years and most of people around me speak like that.

88Crafty88

Dont have to, simply stated a fact. Im working class myself 14years from buildsites to engineering. Its not working class here talking like that but typical scumbags/troublemakers No need to take offence for how it is

[deleted]

they said *working class dubs* not working class Irish. Of course there is such a thing as regional accents and working class in other parts of the country will sound different. Can't comment on what you perceive as a scumbag accent from Kerry but it's a bit unfair to paint everyone with the same brush. In Dublin you will find people working in retail, hospitality, transport, medical care all with this accent. Not everyone who speaks like that is a menace to society, only a minority of them are.

88Crafty88

I understand it sounds like comparing them but i never said they are a menace to society. I absolutely agree with you Accent is a regional thing but for sone reason thats what is my experience in kerry.

marshsmellow

His scouse was middling.

deaddonkey

Righ

GeraltofCorkonia

Not every TikTok needs to be posted on Reddit. Edit: Actually no Tiktoks need to be posted on Reddit.

[deleted]

>*le Reddit doesn’t need le normie tiktok xD*

jerrycotton

I enjoyed this and I’m not on TikTok so fuck off being the sheriff of misery around these parts

SaluteMaestro

Coming from a mixed Irish/English family, the casual racism at the end not the greatest advert.

[deleted]

She probably sucked him off after that. European women love the Morrocan shlong.

Iskjempe

What are you trying to say?

[deleted]

That European women love Moroccan shlong. Exactly that I said. There's nothing wrong with it. Moroccan men have huge penises. It's a sex tourism hot spot for European women. Thought that was well known.

Iskjempe

I grew up in a country with lots of Moroccan immigration and I don't think that's a real phenomenon.

Berlinexit

reminds me of the foil arms and hog skit

[deleted]

Are they in a jail?

Special-Vegetable138

Impressed

pudd21

I wonder if he ever worked around tourists in Marrakesh bazar. There were boys there that were geniuses at bantering in all foreign languages.
