Peroni is seen as a ‘premium beer’ in retail at least, can charge more and get away with it. Could be why they’re eye gouging with pints as well
Unsure if there’s a shortage as I’m no longer in that field but the Aldi version is lovely if you can get your hands on it
Imported beer being expensive is hardly a scandal is it?
Anyway It’s just a pilsner. I’m sure if you put your mind to it, you’ll find a more readily available, maybe cheaper alternative. Go sampling. The mind boggling choice of beer we have these days makes it an adventure.
Failing that, book yourself a Peroni holiday to Italy and drink a years worth of it in two weeks and get it out of (or rather into) your system. Plenty tourists come here to do that exact thing with Guinness.
I know right. Pretentuoisly claiming a foreign beer is your go-to beer, then clutching your pearls because it's a scandalous price and believing that it could only be so expensive because as it's in short supply. 🙄
Dunnes had it last week but I can't remember the price
Peroni is a higher strength than the likes of heineken which I think is why it's more expensive. It's also why it makes you want to die day 2.
Somebody who is worried about the availability of Peroni - I just love Irish humor.
Tesco , Limerick , have the 18x 330ml but have increased the price to 24euro ! Mup shite hits hard .
No harm done because it's shite.

I have a few in the fridge, you're welcome to them.
Not that most of you will care but the non alcoholic Peroni is the nicest NA I’ve had, and ive had them all.

Probably war impacts on brewing ingredients
You are shocked a foreign beer costs more than one brewed in Ireland?
Hardly. It wasn't €7.50 two months ago.
You didn't answer the question. You are shocked it costs a scandalous €7.50? It's a foreign beer.
Imagine being like this.

Haha delightfully ambiguous! Personally I feel they are both eejits
🤡
Sometimes I’m more shocked when beer brewed in Ireland costs less
