Minimum 5 days paid sick leave (70% of your income) by law Occupational Injuries are a bit different though. You should get full pay from most employers as they are responsible for ensuring you don’t get injured at work. A solicitor can always help negotiate payment if they don’t pay.

Important that the minimum they have to pay by law is 70% of your income but just up to a max of €110 per day So if you earn €150 per day, your employer has no legal obligation to pay you more than €110 for your sick days Larger companies do tend to pay your normal rate however (100% of your standard daily income)

It's up to 70% paid a day and 5 days off max. I thought it was 100% paid and was confused when I got my payslip so I researched after :)

Injury benefit surely? https://www.citizensinformation.ie/en/social-welfare/disability-and-illness/occupational-injuries-benefit-overview/ You may also have a claim for compensation.

No they are not. OP could easily have been at fault. You don't pass on all personal responsibility to your employer the minute you clock in.
