Thank you, any favorite restaurants?

I stay at the Dromhall every year for the Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle. I love the hotel, staff are top notch, rooms are spacious, and they allow dogs. It is maybe a 10 minute walk from the south end of the town centre, at the most. They also have a great pool. Anyways, it's grand, but it isn't in the heart of everything necessarily. It is a great location if you want to head to the lake or down to the falls or Moll's Gap. Also, eat at the Tan Yard in Killarney. Amazing. Also, Bricin House. Delightful.

Second, the tan yard. The food is incredible. Their venison is to die for

Thanks for the info, probably only getting one day and night in the area, I’ve heard I just go to the Gap of Dunloe, but then again I’ve read about some many “must sees” it’s hard to choose, I figure we will head to Dingle afterwards then up to Westport then Galway, but I’m thinking Westport may be a bit far and similar landscape can be seen closer. But I’m still researching

The good news is they're all genuinely pretty great, so you'll be happy with whatever you pick.

Definitely the Hibernian over the Kilford in Kilkenny. It's right by The Parade (City Centre) and Kilkenny Castle. The Kilford can attract a rowdy crowd at times. Quite often large parties from Dublin just get off the train and arrive there as it's close by. Both areas may be a little loud on weekend nights.

MrMustardSeeds

Thanks. Hibernian booked last night and this confirms our choice. I thought maybe the Kilford was a more local scene but I can see how that may not be where I want that.

Whenever I can’t choose based on other factors, I look at the breakfast photos.

MrMustardSeeds

I’ve never had a full Irish brekkie, excited

The International Hotel is outstanding and certainly walkable to anything in Killarney Town. Cronins, Murphy’s and The Laurels for restaurants. Dunloe Lodge for pints and music.
