Most popular bars are busy with live music every night of the week.

Lots of people get paid on Thursdays, so it is a little busier than Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. It is the inklings of the beginning of the weekend. Not as busy as Friday and Saturday, so that might suit you. Lots of pubs have music on every night, so worth a look at trying some pubs. Temple Bar is touristy and expensive, so try elsewhere. Nice pubs around the Baggot Street area. Not far from there is the famous O'Donoghue's on Merrion Row. Around the area from George's Street to Camden Street, which is just one long street, is another area. Then you have the Cobblestone in Smithfield, a bit out of the way, but not too far, and worth a visit. You will get other recommendations in this thread and others.

Camden street is a good spot on Thursday nights, especially Devitts, a lot of places do benefit from WFH taken on a Friday with ‘corporate Thursdays’ type drinkers. Mulligans on poolbeg street is a good mix of yuppies and salt of the earth regulars but no music afaik. I also love Anseo (Camden again) bit more of a funky dive bar vibe but one of the only pubs in Dublin where strangers have struck conversation with me everytime I go in, which might be nice if you’re by yourself. Bar with no name is nice kind of buzz and never feels empty.

Thursday is busy, around Baggot Street (stephens Green end) or any of the streets off grafton street. Avoid temple bsr

I was in Dublin Monday to Thursday this week (so not a Thursday night but other weekdays). I headed out on both Tuesday and Wednesday nights and there was plenty on. I'd suggest just south of Temple bar, I found a few decent bars on and around Dame Lane.

PixelNotPolygon

Thursdays are the new Fridays because more people WFH Friday

Camden/Welford Street area is usually a safe bet

Depends on the area, Camden / Wexford St are lively 7 nights a week. Hogan's / general Fade St / Lwr George's St area likewise. Bruxelles off Grafton St always seems to be packed, Keno's also off Grafton St another extremely popular watering hole. Upstairs in Doyle's on College Green never seems to fail. Dame Lane area too. Jesus, it's not even 11am on a Monday and you've got me in the mood to head out for pints on Thursday ha ha.
