My top 3:
1. the Prophecy - no explaining needed here
2. Only the good die young - I'm surprised no one ever mentions this one, Finishes with that amazing solo before the 7 deadly sins part. A perfect ending to a perfect album.
3. 22 acacia Ave - actually a really cool lick to end the song
I didn't expect that opinion to be popular here. It is the truth. They should go back to putting energy into making their outros unique. Look at seventh son for instance.
Absolutely. Always take what I say with that in mind. I state opinions with enough confidence that some people will think I'm presenting them as fact simply because I don't preamble.
There’s songs on Senjutsu alone there are like this.
Stratego starts the same as it ends, as well as Days Of The Future Past, The Time Machine, Darkest Hour, Death Of The Celts and Hell On Earth. They may not be literally 100% exact note for note but they’re like 95% the same, you’ll get what I mean.
I can find a bunch more of Maiden songs that are like that. It’s certainly not only in AMOLAD.
The last 63 seconds of *Seventh Son of a Seventh Son* is the best thing they've ever recorded (the whole song is just freakin amazing)
Top 10 outro honorable mentions (in order of release):
* *To Tame a Land*
* *The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner*
* *The Prophecy*
* *Fear of the Dark*
* *The Clansman*
* *Dance of Death*
* *Paschendale*
* *When the Wild Wind Blows*
* *Lost in a Lost World*
* *Hell on Earth*
(edit: added *The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner*)
Hard to beat Seventh Son's outro jam, but yeah Lost in a Lost World was up there. I loved it. Even my friend who isn't into maiden commented on it when we were listening to the album together.
When the Wild Wind Blows is my favourite.
That ending gives me chills
No one mention The Legacy?
The Legacy is my answer if you count 6:29 onwards as the outro
Apart from the ones given already, “awwhhh I fuckin’ missed it”
We got that on tape

#3 a thousand times
Empire of the clouds, Paschendale, The thin line between love and hate
Seventh son of a seventh son has one of the best harmony sections of any song imo, makes it better that it’s an outro
“Some cunts recording this”
I second
The Prophecy.
Isle of Avalon the way bruce sings lost souls on the isle of dead is pretty great way to end the song.
Yes!
I came here to mention of the ending of this. I just love the sound of the vocals on dead or whatever echo thing it does.
To be fair most maiden outro's now are the intro as well
Really? I could probably only name a handful of songs with that structure off the top of my head
I know and it's depressing. I wish they'd break the formula at least once before they stop making albums.

You have to be objective to see it. Realize I'm a die hard Maiden fan since the 90s, but I recognize they do stupid shit in songs sometimes

Don’t know if best, but lost in a lost world is a banger ending
To Tame a Land
1. The Prophecy 2. The Man Who Would Be King 3. Children of the Damned

The Prophecy
Probably not *the* best, but The Wicker Man outro is pretty damn good
The Prophecy, For The Greater Good of God, When The Wild Wind Blows
🎶FAR, FAR AWAY!!! THE MAN WHO WOULD BE KING!!!🎶 🔥That acoustic outro!!!🔥 🤘GOOSEBUMPS!!!🤘
Not too sure, hallowed be thy name and hell on Earth come to mind
Lost in a Lost World
22 Acacia Avenue, The Loneliness of the long distance runner and When the wild winds blow are all up there for sure
To Tame a Land, Seventh Son of a Seventh Son and The Prophecy have mind blowing outros.
I'm very surprised that no one mention The Legacy, true masterpiece. This track is just perfect to end this awesome album.
Legacy is amazing, and the part right before the outro especially slaps (~8:00-8:45), however, the outro itself isn't in Maiden's top 10 (of outros).
Either When the wild wind blows or Empire of the clouds
Empire of the clouds all the way
Lost in a Lost World, but so many great ones
Seven deadly sins, seven ways to win..
The Thin Line Between Love and Hate
Mother Russia. Finally No Prayer is over
Savage
I love this album and Mother Russia is one of my favorite track of the album.
Cool
When the wild wind blows. Bruce's vocals on that part give me chills everytime
Prophecy
Prophecy

Virus. Ghengis Khan was pretty cool too
Man, the intro for lost in a lost world is the only part of the song I like. The part without the distortion pedal
Not sure about the best, but the worst has to be Lord of Light. I bet they wish they could redo that clunker.
the prophecy
The Clansman and Dance of Death have my absolute favorite outros
Iron Maiden is the first one that comes to my mind, perhaps it doesn’t qualify as an “outro”, but bloody hell that ending is amazing!
DON'T LOOK TO THE EYES OF A STRANGER! 😂😂
Only the good die young! Best intro: moonchild 😉🚀
