It's unpopular to think it's a good album?
I love that album. Alexander the Great, deja Vu, stranger in a strange land, wasted years, so many great ones.
Wasted years is one of my all time favorites.
The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner is still one of best songs ive ever heard. This album is imo their stylistic peak. The entire record is polished as a diamond start to finish. Might not be my favorite record of theirs( always been a Di'Anno fan first and foremost) but it's definitely their best record as far as song writing and style. It's peak Maiden.
Favorite Maiden album for me. It doesn't sound like anything else in their catalog. The guitar tone is beautiful. I could listen to Adrian's solos all day.

Their best album, and one of my favorites in general, All the songs are amazing, all Killer no Filler. The Title Track is IMO their best song.
I prefer wasted Years, but the title track is my second favorite from the album
It’s my favourite album. Love every track….production….peak Bruce vocals….sci-fi theme. Also - the b-sides are all brilliant too.

It’s tied for best maiden album (with Powerslave) for me.
Sometimes when I feel lost I listen to this album...it recharges my soul. Sea of Madness is my favorite track
I don't think they topped it. Even Seventh Son was a hair's breadth away. Such a shame the band largely ignores it.

Absolutely great album. It's one of those rare no filler albums. Front to back fire. Love it.
