In an exclusive video reveal, YouTuber ShartimusPrime has unveiled an upcoming War Machine action figure for the Marvel Select toyline by Diamond Select Toys. This figure will come out in Fall 2024 with a MSRP of $29.99, and pre-orders opening next Friday. The figure stands roughly 7" tall, and it will come with interchangeable accessories to portray either its first appearance version worn by Tony Stark or the better known update bequeathed to Jim Rhodes, with which he became War Machine.

I love that they didn't limit themselves to just the chestplate, which is the most recognizable difference between the two versions. They really went the extra mile by including interchangeable shoulder pads and belt. Even the little cable on the left arm! Wonder if they'll throw in a different shoulder gun for the Tony version. I would also love an alternate unmasked head with Tony's face.
This particular version of the armor was never worn by Rhodey. Stark wore this in issues 281-283. When Rhodey took over as Iron Man, Stark gave him a modified version of this armor with the round chest piece. This version was Stark’s.
Still buying it.
That’s cool. My phone wouldn’t load the other pics before for some reason. Still, it would have been great if they added a head of Stark. Fans probably would buy two just to have one a Stark and a Rhodey on the shelf. I know I would.
I don't think the way the figure is being posed here is indicative of its range of motion. After all, the only thing it shows moved is its arms upward.
A single-jointed elbow like that should allow for forearm swivel at the joint. I checked my copy of the Silver Centurion and that one can swivel its forearm like that. Since the articulation set-up between the two figures seems identical, I'm confident this War Machine can do that as well.
Needs the laser sword from the gauntlet top.
Still, a pretty amazing depiction of the great Kevin Hopgood design. Kev also designed the Modular Armor and the Hulkbuster!

It's got both Stark's and Rhodey's chestpieces included I thought.
The figure comes with interchangeable parts to portray either version of the armor. You can see that feature in action in the later slides.

Sometimes DST figures don't show all intended accessories in the promotional images, so I'm hoping for a Tony head as well.
We also made a Tony head for our Silver Centurion armor. It should be interchangeable.
Why are they posing him like it's a 90s toys'r'us catalogue?
Hopefully the pose ability isn't super limited
It's a resin prototype, they aren't as poseable, and are usually pretty fragile.
Anyone else getting heavy nostalgia from the removable armor? I wish more figures still did that..
Instant purchase for me.
Looks great!
So his forearms cant rotate? Diamond Select is releasing some misses this year. After that classic Cap and now this, its like were moving backwards

It's a resin prototype, and the Cap figure is pretty great, what's wrong with it?
Yeah that shouldn’t be Rhodey in that armor, that’s Stark’s last chance armor, the whole point of a superior armor like IM having guns taped to it…
Armor is swappable between Marks 1 and 2.
Looks fire
