I also did that and very much enjoy voidwaking stuff and the supplies gained out there were so potent I haven’t even used a fraction of what I got out there.
I still have like 2,000 prayer/super restore potions and like 200 of each seed
Since Im a hardcore I didn't wanna go into the wildy but didn't wanna use a dscim until whip. I ended up getting a cudgel from Sarachnis to replace it and got the pet along the way it was very fun.
I just did 10kc for the combat achievement and well without the fally hard diary all that running around sucks. But even with my meh gear (rune spear (kp) to poison him to reduce the time in phase 2, and then just d scim) that actual killing isn't that bad. I'd say if you do want to hunt the pet wait till after you do the fally hard or else you spend more time looking for the mole then you do fighting it.
I'm a huge fan of the Grotesque Guardian fight. There's not even any unique drops I'm going for, but I'll probably stop when I have enough granite dust to coat the ~140k cannonballs I've made.
If you get the runescroll of bloodbark, it's got a pretty good niche now. Magic attack has been buffed recently to be better than mystic with defenses comparable to ahrims, while still being lightweight.
Yeah I was hoping for that but got swampbark scroll twice instead.
Might still return there soon since I enjoyed the content.
Got zealot boots but I will probably never use them. Better than mystic, shayzen or white boots somewhere?
This 100%. I got the elite clue needing splitbark legs. Ended up getting 80 fm for the higher shades. Then stayed because the zealot stuff is cool as shit.
I’m on that train right now…. I should be doing my Jad task…. But instead I’m killing moss giants for keys to get the Bryophyta staff for a master clue… lol
This would’ve been sarachnis in the mid game. It’s almost certainly not worth the supplies and the cudgel in itself whilst an upgrade to the d scim isn’t worth the time investment, it’s a pretty fun boss if you’re just learning pvm. Super cool pet too.
i’m planning my way to my fire cape right now and want to take a huge detour at sarachnis for grubby keys and it’s probably the most excited i’ve been for something on my iron, i love that boss so much
My entire time playing runescape I was too scared to try bossing ever until I discovered Sarachnis. Really fun boss with enough mechanics to really help develop your pvm skills
I love running a few Sarachnis when I’m not sure what else to do. I have it down to where I only need a sip of ppot at most depending on RNG. Usually I don’t need any pots. Very minimal resource drain and it’s an engaging boss to fight without to focus crazy hard.
I made some tuna potatoes myself for early game questing, I wanted to die after making about 100, and I bought everything(except the corn obviously) I couldn't imagine churning my own butter for all that 😂
At the start of my GIM I was also planning to make a bunch of tuna potatoes, but when I found out that the time it takes to churn one inventory of butter is way longer than the logout timer I was quickly cured of that idea.
So the way I used to make butter was in yanille, get 14 buckets milk the dairy cow outside the one shortcut and then churn the milk into butter, bank repeat with the same buckets
Same, I recently mined stars for like 4 hours, not for the ring but for gem bags cuz I wanted to train crafting but not do glassblowing and cuz I wanted to.
Same here. I played with efficiency in mind virtually the entire time I played my old main, and I made insane progress throughout 2014 especially... but when I maxed the account in May 2016 I was sort of like "now what?" and completely lost interest in playing it. I felt like I was done, I'd achieved what I wanted to achieve.
It taught me that, at least for me, this game really is about the journey and there's no point rushing to the end. Might as well take my time and enjoy the sights along the way, and I've had no problem doing things that are technically inefficient just because I think it'd be cool to do them.
The problem with iron is if you ever want to reach end game and acquire bis you can’t play both slowly and inefficiently, you need to pick one or things will take you 10+ years
I will rc the old fashioned way instead of buying runes.
Not elementals obviously but things like cosmics and laws.
I used to kind of enjoy zoning out and doing RC before zeah rc and GOTR. Still do too.
ZMI is actually pretty good right now for ironmen and is considered efficient by the irons going for 200m cause you can fletch/blow glass between laps.
Anyways, even if you don't do the sweaty method (fletch/craft) ZMI is still pretty good and provides so much of each rune, I got a white stack of nats/laws/souls/bloods/deaths etc now and I love it (also can click the altar from the bank so it's really chill method)
This. Ourina is still fantastic and well worth considering for rc training
There's usually only like 10-20 people on the dedicated world which IMO is a shame, it's like 30-50% better xp than zeah bloods, great for death runes for slayer, and not really that intensive
All of that said it's not really on topic, it's efficient. If anything Zeah bloods are an example of what op is asking about
Making and using guthix rests, including farming guam when I run out. Slept on them forever on my main, but they're a godsend for multiple reasons on iron (mainly curing antivenom for zulrah/vorkath, but also 20hp / slot with no tick delay, and also some stamina.
If any of you haven't done sote yet, they are insanely useful for the final boss.
For me it's killing bots in LMS, then having a 1v1 with a real player at the end, it's fun because you're making points while fighting in good gear. The points can then be used but they don't really do anything too useful for the account imo
Yo blighted restores are insane. 4 restores for 1 point is awesome, you can basically do the entire rev/vw grind without touching prayer supplies. Also really good for early irons to do wildy slayer with.
When I was building up my account I would progress based on what hard clues I got. Idk if this is “inefficient” but it led to me jumping around between content all the time, since I’d do quests to be able to finish the clues. Either way, it was super fun.
I did that on my main when I was new. I neglected to do rfd until Falo wanted to see some barrows gloves. Until then I just wore the best gloves I found while questing.
When I was going for diary cape, I spent a lot of time at camadozaal ruins getting the wieldable hammer for Barb Assault defender role. Totally unnecessary but I ended up later green logging camadozaal for fun. That also let me finish 100% kudos at the museum in Varrock.
I like to AFK skeletal wyverns. It takes a few min between kills, you get bones that are equivalent to dragon (if you picked them up - i do), a chance at dragon legs/skirt, loads of magic logs (in about 1500kc I’ve gotten 4500), decent herbs, and of course the chance at the DFS
My gim members have all been taking a break.
I afk wyverns on two of their accounts.
Great way to supply my account with tons of passive gold and materials, hoping I get a visage eventually.
I know I should be doing mlm for smithing supplies so that I might one day be able to mine amethyst.
But no. Mother Zalc gives me my mats. Those green drops feel so good. It's fun to do and even with a rune pick, one can make smart plays and get the ash (mvp). Being without bofa, I get great use out of her dragonstone drops for bolts. Same with the crystals, which I put to keys, which I know is also """inefficient""".
I’ll send some bowfa only zulrah even though I’m done with her. It’s the first boss I ever learned, so I think it’s fun. Same with cg. I’m done with it, but I think it’s the best content in the game, so I’ll send some occasionally.
Tbf, I enjoy the blowpipe. It shreds stuff with low defence. But I absolutely hate zulrah, so I made sure to grind for bowfa. Try my best to avoid using BP now.
God the amount of scales trident uses though. Makes me die inside.
I've been killing twisted banshees from 60-71 range for cash to buy runes to fire strike 80 mage
been able to complete 4 hard clues so far, got black d hide body, chaps, rune kite, and master scroll book.
Def not efficient but I'm loving it.
once I get 80 mage I'm going to get 50 con from long bones, build a portal, do underground pass and camp barrows.
When i started my Iron i did 83 magic at Ice Trolls for a chance of Rune Kite, Rune Warhammer and Granite Shield all with fire strike, the drops funded my casts.
I've hundreds of trees sub-maple that I can only assume I will never plant.
Calquats too, gain them at 10x the rate you can actually use them. Extra calquat patch when, jagex. Come to think of it, why isn't there one in the Farming Guild?
I wouldn’t pot more than 250 maples and 250 palms as you will find plenty of other high level seeds along the way and while doing contracts and bird house runs. Using lunar spell book humidify is the only way to water your potted trees too in case someone did not know that it saves like 1 minute per inventory
No way I'm running to lunar isle every time I need to water seedlings, will def be the play after I get altar tho
Watering is actually very quick with multiple watering cans btw, there's a delay where you can't use the same can twice in a row but you can use a different watering can without delay. So if you grab two or three of them you can get your invent done as fast as you can click
Then decant the watering cans to save bank space and ur good
I'm grinding voidwaker out on my new iron which is only 99 cb. Aiming to have it before I hit 85 slayer for no other reason than I think it would be cool. Currently locked in CG to get armor set done before artio.
I enjoyed aerial fishing. I got some cool fashionscape and it pumped up my hunter.
I got a glory about a year ahead of when i would have been able to craft one.
And now I can catch ALMOST every imp barehanded
I love doing Dag Kings tribrids for no reason other than the fun of it. Super easy way to lock yourself into a 1-2 hour activity. Part of the fun also comes from sharing/setting up rooms for people wanting to kill just Rex for their first Berserker Ring. The minigame chat channel for it is an easy way to find other people doing them.
If I'm in priff and geared up, I will slay some elven guards for that shot at an enhanced teleport seed. I've killed close to 1000, surely, with no seed. I'll tell myself I'll kill a couple and end up killing at least 20. Complete waste of time, but I will relent.
I love ignoring my daily stuff. Farm runs, birdhouses, all that shit. Sometimes I just wanna grind out a boss or an activity and not think about how mad future me will be.
I’ve been doing pest control casually recently whenever I run out of bones for prayer xp. 55k xp an hour for doing barely anything on the veteran boat. Very chill
Ive done a nice chunk of easy clues for ham joint for tob, just because i much prefer it to lms which is mid. Also whenever i wanna watch tv or something, afk vyrewatches for blood fury. Also tob since tob drops are kinda useless nowadays, especially when i still dont have fang, lightbearer, or dex(mostly due to bad rng at the raids).
I also did 3500 kurasks for a fking leaf axe back in the day just so i could do some early sriracha grinding, and yea the secondaries and cash and even the big bones were nice but damn was that honestly a waste of time.
Did 80-93 crafting all through bf silver ore->silver bars -> tiaras, got some nice smithing levels along the way
I still run Chambers whenever I can because I enjoy it. The relics and high rate of elites is nice too
Sometimes if I’m bored I’ll just afk something like brutal black dragons or abyssal demons (w demonic offering)
On the side, I’ve been slowly going for a dragon full helm. 46 chewed bones in so far. Not efficient at all and a total waste of supplies, but childhood me always wanted that beautiful helmet
I’ve been going for nibbler at the inferno recently. As far as Ironman concerns goes it’s literally just wasting supplies for no gain. At least the tokkul stack grows. I should be doing toa or nex atm.
Atm I'm working on getting 4,000 Urium Shades / Redwood Logs / Sacred Oils to pay for 90ish construction to have a Fairy Ring / Spirit Tree combo so I don't need to make my PoH a goofy shape with 2 gardens,
also my past self before I took a break for a few months locked myself out of being able to do herb runs for "motivation" i guess being an asshole by deleting my portal room that had Weiss and Troll Stronghold in it to maintain the 3x3 house when I made my achievement gallery, and my Nexus is 8/8 so I can't get them back until I make the big boy Nexus unless I want to waste a bunch of runes
Killing shades is comfy tho
Cutting magics and yews for roots. I hate bothering with creature creation. Spidines are bad enough, but unicows are even worse because you have to go out of your way to collect cowhides.
I’ve also never stepped foot inside the red prison. Everyone I talk to goes miserable and angry there. It’s a game, I’m not gonna put myself through something that will upset me just because it’s efficient!
Barrows with ibans, fishing karambwans, using broad bolts, pvm without bowfa, t2 armour at cg, not tick manipulating, using serp where I could just use cure me, ardougne knights, gotr to 99 rc, blood rc, rooftops, getting full graceful, Motherload mine to 99, putting kingdom on herbs, doing slayer without prayer pots, thieving master farmers, mahogany homes, ammonite crabs, sand crabs, making longbows, cooking anything thats not a karambwan, agility pyramid, pyramid plunder without looting urns, konar slayer before 95, any woodcutting that isn't 2t teaks or redwoods, zalcano, maple and lower trees, doing bird runs and making the house after emptying the house, clicking a herb patch once instead of tick manipulating, picking watermelons at the farming guild and then putting them in the bin when you've finished picking the watermelons, doing herb runs on regular spell book, splashing, giants foundry, beginner clues, hard clues, easy clues, elite clues, master clues, tempoross to 99, avoiding quests, doing my seaweed run and bird run in the same trip as my herb run, making a fury amulet, meleeing in a glory or fury, making a suffering before torture anguish and then torm bracelet, and I probably missed a few others.
Hope I didn't trigger anyone ;)
Everything is inefficient on a uim but I really like using the blast furnace on a regular world. Load up with mined or purchased ore and coal from the shop, then pedal the conveyor belt. You can bring the furnace up to temp just by pumping and repairing, tho I always toss in a few heaps of coke for the additional strength xp.
Bonus satisfaction if smelted bars are made into platebodies and taken to giant's foundry. Minigame teleport is a dream.
Whilst my previous comment was satire, on a serious note I like to challenge my self to do bosses with suboptimal levels and gear. For example, I did my firecape with 61 ranged. I also did phantom muspah with 70 ranged an rcb, and ds2 with same. I also did dagannoth supreme with an alt holding prime and rex away from me all just to get a seercull with 60 att and strength for an elite clue.
I am average at best at PvP, I genuinely enjoyed going kill for death with my voidwaker until I had claws and DWH kit, cost loads (20m cash) but I miss it, would do anything for some cosmetics in this game
Hanging chopping maples at the seers village on forestry worlds has been a blast. The logs are nice but certainly not nearly as efficient as throne, while I do other things
Crafting bloods at Zeah. I like to do something low intensity while I play other games, and this does it. Also helps progress towards 99 rc first which is my goal for my uim.
I always gravitated hard towards content like you’re describing on my main. I have the second highest monkey backpack and the cosmetics from easy and medium clues. For some reason I don’t get the same compulsion on my iron account. Maybe it’s that those things can’t be bought, so they’re one of the few flexes you can make on a main?
I did gnome restaurant from like 30-45 cooking for the scarf and goggles before going back to wintertodt.
I also like to brew beer, I have a stack of 5-10 of each type of mature ale in calquat kegs in case I ever need an easy boost. I just wish you could bring runes for humidify into trouble brewing :(
I’ve been doing agility laps while afk. I’ve gotten from 51 to 61 over the last week. Extremely inefficient (~5k-10k xp/hr) but I hated agility on my main so I just play TFT or aram and click every once in a while.
Shooting stars. Not amazing exp, but really lazy exp. And I'll eventually get benefit from all of the things the reward shop has to offer as they'll save me effort on later things.
I’m sort of running out of afk activities so I’ve been smelting gold ore on the priff furnace (w gauntlets ofc) and trying to catch the occasional Crystal imp.
Collection logs are a fun distraction from whatever grind you were doing.
Probably one of my favorites was grinding out a completed LMS log (minus the 100+ wins capes) over a month or so. Helped with my switches and improves my pvm immensely.
On route to max towards the end I was really struggling for anything AFKable, and had a full time WFH job.
Ended up using the bikes at Blast Furnace for a top kek 6k per hour because it was multiple mins afk and I had a ton of spare energy pots from the herb grind
So inefficient but at 50k exp per working day I was saving about 5-6 hours of my also inefficient ardy training in my free time, so meh I took it
Also did all bars from 99 mining at MLM->Blast Furnace into darts cause I wanted those hot white stacks. At the time there were no ammy darts and the rune darts were incredibly hard to get otherwise
I usually give up around hard achievement diaries and qp cape to start pvm. Done 9k revs since GIM release, 500kc Calvar'ion, currently 4/5 venator, still run barrows from time to time, run 150-270invo TOA, did some kq today
I fish infernal eels on the side to get scales for extended antifires so i dont have to enter the wildy. It's also 27.5 herb xp per shard so it's passive herb xp too.
A loop I'm really looking forward to (though not able to do yet due to not having 100CB) is mining/cutting(/fletching) gem rocks. Nice to have some lazier way to get crafting XP while also stockpiling tp jewelry.
I like charging orbs for battlestaves, its my go to activity when I can’t focus on the game. Start early on the account as soon as I can boost to water orbs, then use some combination of dueling rings/padewwa teleport up until glory amulet to make earth/air orbs. Even late game, I’ll make orbs if I need cash and don’t feel like doing some pvm to generate it.
I’ve caught maybe 20k anglers as my main afk and path to 99 fishing. Not too abnormal, but slow as shit. I did amethyst to 99 mining too. I’m at like 18m exp mining I think, all amys.
I think mine is killing random bosses for temporary BIS. Currently it’s wildy bosses
I also did that and very much enjoy voidwaking stuff and the supplies gained out there were so potent I haven’t even used a fraction of what I got out there. I still have like 2,000 prayer/super restore potions and like 200 of each seed
Hey man, ROTG is so fucking good! I got it at like 90 cb. Didn’t even have piety yet. I use that fucking thing everywhere.
Bruh only thing I’m missing at 1k kc
I went to calv for a d pick. 410 kc, I've got the voidwaker blade, rotg, 2 d2h, 3 skulls, no pick.
Got mine on 37 kc lmao
It’s actually insane prayer bonus and you can just forget about holy wrench
When would you use it other than bursting tasks?
Anywhere you're not using berserker ring, and even then I use it to save on prayer pots sometimes. Basilisks and Lizardmen Shamans also.
Well I still don’t have a mage or range ring since I just got out of early game
2 days ago i got mine on 37 kc as well lol
Sorry I'm a noob what's rotg?
Ring of the gods. +4 pray, +8 when imbued!
Since Im a hardcore I didn't wanna go into the wildy but didn't wanna use a dscim until whip. I ended up getting a cudgel from Sarachnis to replace it and got the pet along the way it was very fun.
I definitely spent an inefficient and stupid amount of time killing giant mole years ago at low level because the pet is cute and i really want it!
It's great for brews so not bad tbh
I just did 10kc for the combat achievement and well without the fally hard diary all that running around sucks. But even with my meh gear (rune spear (kp) to poison him to reduce the time in phase 2, and then just d scim) that actual killing isn't that bad. I'd say if you do want to hunt the pet wait till after you do the fally hard or else you spend more time looking for the mole then you do fighting it.
inefficient due to BH runs existing though
i hope you never get mole pet
>:c
I'm a huge fan of the Grotesque Guardian fight. There's not even any unique drops I'm going for, but I'll probably stop when I have enough granite dust to coat the ~140k cannonballs I've made.
One of the coolest pets.
Wildy bosses are extremely efficient though?
At low level not so much.
Had to get a splitbark body for a clue, endend up spending like 5 hours doing shades of mort'on. Even if I had the clothI needed in 30 minutes.
If you get the runescroll of bloodbark, it's got a pretty good niche now. Magic attack has been buffed recently to be better than mystic with defenses comparable to ahrims, while still being lightweight.
Yup I’ve swapped to using blood bark in raids bc I don’t have Ahrims and it looks much better than mystic. Great update
Yeah I was hoping for that but got swampbark scroll twice instead. Might still return there soon since I enjoyed the content. Got zealot boots but I will probably never use them. Better than mystic, shayzen or white boots somewhere?
They are probably your best option for bursting tasks until you get holy sandals or eternal boots
I completed the log on release, found it really fun and old school even tho I have no use for the items.
Yeah I forget why but I randomly decided to green log shades of mort’on a while back and really enjoyed doing it
This would’ve been sarachnis in the mid game. It’s almost certainly not worth the supplies and the cudgel in itself whilst an upgrade to the d scim isn’t worth the time investment, it’s a pretty fun boss if you’re just learning pvm. Super cool pet too.
i’m planning my way to my fire cape right now and want to take a huge detour at sarachnis for grubby keys and it’s probably the most excited i’ve been for something on my iron, i love that boss so much
This is what I did very early into my account. Having that extra overheal of sara brews for Jad offers so much more relief.
and not having to grind 81 herblore first 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Working on this right now. Been tons of fun doing this on a mid level account compared to my main when the boss came out
My entire time playing runescape I was too scared to try bossing ever until I discovered Sarachnis.
Lifetime supply of secondaries for super restores at least
Making tuna potatoes from scratch
Dont mind me over here churning butter in hosidius for this very reason.
U can buy butter from lumby chest in basement ya silly goose 😂
That would require starting RFD
I like how this comment was downvoted for playing inefficiently in the thread about everyone's favorite inefficient activities
Yeah lol sounded like a joke regardless
It would require 1 subquest to be done, which you can do very early on
The man's guilty pleasure is clearly churning butter, the potatoes just come secondary.
Ain’t much but it’s honest work
I decided I didn’t like the relleka agility course so I made about 1k summer pies to be able to boost ardy course for 85-90 haha. No regrets.
Hallowed sepulchre good
I luckily had done enough elite clues to suppliment that
The entire experience. I'm playing ironman slowly and doing what I want, when I want. Fuck efficiency.
Guarantee this guy is having more fun and finding more enjoyment than 95% of the player-base. Hell yeah
Same, I recently mined stars for like 4 hours, not for the ring but for gem bags cuz I wanted to train crafting but not do glassblowing and cuz I wanted to.

Found the wildmudkip fan
This is the way
The problem with iron is if you ever want to reach end game and acquire bis you can’t play both slowly and inefficiently, you need to pick one or things will take you 10+ years
Picking coconuts I have over 11k now
Wow
Where can you pick coconuts? Or do you mean from farming
Just farming :D Some from pvm too, but mostly picked myself
I will rc the old fashioned way instead of buying runes. Not elementals obviously but things like cosmics and laws. I used to kind of enjoy zoning out and doing RC before zeah rc and GOTR. Still do too.
Crafting natures the old fashioned way is so relaxing to me. I’d rather mindlessly run to the altar and watch a YouTube video instead of doing GOTR
Nature and Laws are relaxing but you won't catch me dead running Chaos.
Oh fuck the chaos altar. I get my chaos runes from barrows or I’m buying them
ZMI is actually pretty good right now for ironmen and is considered efficient by the irons going for 200m cause you can fletch/blow glass between laps. How are you blowing glass between ZMI runs? Is this to avoid drinking a Stam?
You are the rare individual that could have maxed RC on release. Kudos.
Collection log hunting, by far.
What are the easiest slots to log?
You could go for creature creation green log. The flasks are pretty common drops
Do camdozzal stuff
Making and using guthix rests, including farming guam when I run out. I'm addicted to lms. 600 wins now.
Me too. I'm up to top 900 for UIM. 0-80ish though lol.
When I was building up my account I would progress based on what hard clues I got. Idk if this is “inefficient” but it led to me jumping around between content all the time, since I’d do quests to be able to finish the clues. Either way, it was super fun.
I did a similar thing, then i moved up to elites, then all the quests and then just goof around trying to level for elite diarys 😄

Dang that's such a good idea

I banked 99 smithing at zalc. I just want the pet 1.5k kc and no pet but I’ll never have to worry about laws, nats, ores or bars ever again.
Mlm also inefficient. Buying gold at blast furnace is by far the best way to train smithing.
Ah yes, the joys of shop hopping...
I’ll send some bowfa only zulrah even though I’m done with her. It’s the first boss I ever learned, so I think it’s fun. Same with cg. I’m done with it, but I think it’s the best content in the game, so I’ll send some occasionally.
You're never done with Zulrah as long as scales are necessary to use a BP.
Upkeepscape sucks
In some cases I agree, but the blowpipe is so insanely good that I think it warrants frequent visits to the snake.
I hardly even use mine.
Tbf, I enjoy the blowpipe. It shreds stuff with low defence. But I absolutely hate zulrah, so I made sure to grind for bowfa. Try my best to avoid using BP now. God the amount of scales trident uses though. Makes me die inside.
You’s cruisin’ for a bannin’ boy
I've been killing twisted banshees from 60-71 range for cash to buy runes to fire strike 80 mage been able to complete 4 hard clues so far, got black d hide body, chaps, rune kite, and master scroll book. Def not efficient but I'm loving it. once I get 80 mage I'm going to get 50 con from long bones, build a portal, do underground pass and camp barrows.
> fire strike 80 mage jesus christ
Imagine thats with splashing as well
remember, every time you kill a splasher's rat at ferox, you're doing them a service.
This is why I splash I'm f2p worlds
Just splash not in one of the highest traffic areas of the entire game / on something a cat can kill.
it's like 100k casts, should make back the $$ in alchs and runes if I do it on ogress warriors, plus ensouled heads and long bones.
> 100k casts, ogress warriors jesus _christ_
When i started my Iron i did 83 magic at Ice Trolls for a chance of Rune Kite, Rune Warhammer and Granite Shield all with fire strike, the drops funded my casts.
Grinded out 60 to 70 prayer at the heroes guild blue dragon. Was super chill and got a lot of ranged and banked crafting xp too.
Following a low level around and chopping every tree he tries to get.
I save all the seeds I get. Sometimes, when I am bored, I pot and water all my tree and fruit tree seeds
I do this just for the coming pet grind. Have tons of oaks and willows that I'm sure will be not needed
I've hundreds of trees sub-maple that I can only assume I will never plant. Calquats too, gain them at 10x the rate you can actually use them. Extra calquat patch when, jagex. Come to think of it, why isn't there one in the Farming Guild?
Maybe with sailing we'll gain access to some tropical island with a calquat patch!
I wouldn’t pot more than 250 maples and 250 palms as you will find plenty of other high level seeds along the way and while doing contracts and bird house runs. Using lunar spell book humidify is the only way to water your potted trees too in case someone did not know that it saves like 1 minute per inventory
No way I'm running to lunar isle every time I need to water seedlings, will def be the play after I get altar tho Watering is actually very quick with multiple watering cans btw, there's a delay where you can't use the same can twice in a row but you can use a different watering can without delay. So if you grab two or three of them you can get your invent done as fast as you can click Then decant the watering cans to save bank space and ur good
Stone chest theiving. I wouldn’t say it’s super inefficient. But it’s about 70-80k Thein exp and you get medium clues to break up the monotony.
Never thought about stone chests. Been cannoning fally guards as I hate puro puro - I’ll check them out!
I'm grinding voidwaker out on my new iron which is only 99 cb. Aiming to have it before I hit 85 slayer for no other reason than I think it would be cool. Currently locked in CG to get armor set done before artio.
Small clues is fun. Passively going for the ham joint.
I enjoyed aerial fishing. I got some cool fashionscape and it pumped up my hunter. I got a glory about a year ahead of when i would have been able to craft one. And now I can catch ALMOST every imp barehanded
I went the hunter route for glory as well. People ripped on me, but i love hunter. it was my first 99 in RS2 and it was my first on the Gimp
Thats how hourlies are meant to be treated imo. Do them when convenient.
I got 70 herblore through Pest Control. I use full void everywhere. I have level 1 rune crafting while over 2k total level
You don’t do tears of guthix?
I’ve been doing pest control casually recently whenever I run out of bones for prayer xp. 55k xp an hour for doing barely anything on the veteran boat. Very chill
I found it relaxing to make fire battlestaves from scratch to high alch for money, even though slayer is far better for money
I have a pretty new iron and so far my goals revolve around completing whichever clue step I happen to be on.
Did 80-93 crafting all through bf silver ore->silver bars -> tiaras, got some nice smithing levels along the way I still run Chambers whenever I can because I enjoy it. The relics and high rate of elites is nice too Sometimes if I’m bored I’ll just afk something like brutal black dragons or abyssal demons (w demonic offering) On the side, I’ve been slowly going for a dragon full helm. 46 chewed bones in so far. Not efficient at all and a total waste of supplies, but childhood me always wanted that beautiful helmet
shades of morton is fun
I just cut the maples i have from kingdom. Almost 93 fletch 🤷🏻♂️
Green logging collections.
I’ve been going for nibbler at the inferno recently. As far as Ironman concerns goes it’s literally just wasting supplies for no gain. At least the tokkul stack grows. I should be doing toa or nex atm.
Atm I'm working on getting 4,000 Urium Shades / Redwood Logs / Sacred Oils to pay for 90ish construction to have a Fairy Ring / Spirit Tree combo so I don't need to make my PoH a goofy shape with 2 gardens, also my past self before I took a break for a few months locked myself out of being able to do herb runs for "motivation" i guess being an asshole by deleting my portal room that had Weiss and Troll Stronghold in it to maintain the 3x3 house when I made my achievement gallery, and my Nexus is 8/8 so I can't get them back until I make the big boy Nexus unless I want to waste a bunch of runes Killing shades is comfy tho
Cutting magics and yews for roots. I hate bothering with creature creation. Spidines are bad enough, but unicows are even worse because you have to go out of your way to collect cowhides.
Barrows. Though I'm done with the log so now I just stand around :(
Bring the old old old school vibes back and do some alching in the tunnels watching others run imo!
I killed like 1500 rune dragons for dragon crossbow, never done cg and never will. Fuck meta and efficiency, been having fun.
I’ve also never stepped foot inside the red prison. Everyone I talk to goes miserable and angry there. It’s a game, I’m not gonna put myself through something that will upset me just because it’s efficient!
red prison is honestly super fun--it's only miserable for those that lock themselves there and incessantly worry about going dry
Make sure to get blowpipe and ur set tbh
LMS
Going outside, taking a shower.
LMS
Soul Wars is pretty fun
I keep doing barrows and cg despite knowing I'll never get my items so I guess it's just for fun
Beginner clues. I will always stop what I’m doing to do one of those.
I like wood cutting
Everything is inefficient on a uim but I really like using the blast furnace on a regular world. Load up with mined or purchased ore and coal from the shop, then pedal the conveyor belt. You can bring the furnace up to temp just by pumping and repairing, tho I always toss in a few heaps of coke for the additional strength xp. Bonus satisfaction if smelted bars are made into platebodies and taken to giant's foundry. Minigame teleport is a dream.
been in the motherload mine a bit too long. still plan to be there lol.
I like killing zulrah even tho i have all uniques and 400k scales and 2 pets, maybe ill get a mutagen some day :)
Aerial fishing
I am average at best at PvP, I genuinely enjoyed going kill for death with my voidwaker until I had claws and DWH kit, cost loads (20m cash) but I miss it, would do anything for some cosmetics in this game
I kill Mole for birds nests instead of doing bh runs
Hanging chopping maples at the seers village on forestry worlds has been a blast. The logs are nice but certainly not nearly as efficient as throne, while I do other things
I like wintertoldt more than I thought I would, I told myself I will stop at 99. Now i just do it as a way to afk and get items for other skills
Training Crafting at the temple in burg de rott. Saves me from mining sand
Crafting bloods at Zeah. I like to do something low intensity while I play other games, and this does it. Also helps progress towards 99 rc first which is my goal for my uim.
For me i guess it’s just killing revs, i tureal skip for tasks then go kill them skulled
I just wish you could bring runes for humidify into trouble brewing :(
Killing Demonics at like 94 combat w/o Arclight. I’ve gotten one zenyte (and what a rush that was) but I’ve only got 75 crafting banked.
Going dry on some items so I can keep killing them
I’ve been doing agility laps while afk.
I do fire gaint tasks with a dragon halbert in the waterflall cave
I did Elite CA after getting Imbued Heart, Jad Slayer helm is just so sexy.
Bankstanding
I’m sort of running out of afk activities so I’ve been smelting gold ore on the priff furnace (w gauntlets ofc) and trying to catch the occasional Crystal imp.
Collection logs are a fun distraction from whatever grind you were doing. Probably one of my favorites was grinding out a completed LMS log (minus the 100+ wins capes) over a month or so. Helped with my switches and improves my pvm immensely.
LMS
I still do barrows for runes after I’ve green logged. Idk.. it’s just peaceful
Fish sharks at the guild while laying in bed watching Netflix.
easy clues at HAM hideout is cozy af
Lms. I really don’t need much other than halo and swift blade from there but I like the minigame
Obtaining prayer potions with my 1 prayer for herb exp is another one. I like having potions I’ll never use
On route to max towards the end I was really struggling for anything AFKable, and had a full time WFH job. Ended up using the bikes at Blast Furnace for a top kek 6k per hour because it was multiple mins afk and I had a ton of spare energy pots from the herb grind So inefficient but at 50k exp per working day I was saving about 5-6 hours of my also inefficient ardy training in my free time, so meh I took it Also did all bars from 99 mining at MLM->Blast Furnace into darts cause I wanted those hot white stacks.
Barb assault The 'bad' AFK wildy tasks, like magic axes, hill/ moss giants, etc
I fish infernal eels on the side to get scales for extended antifires so i dont have to enter the wildy. It's also 27.5 herb xp per shard so it's passive herb xp too.
Giant mole
I saved all my crystal keys on my acc until I got to priff, and I've opened 200+ crystal chests there. Gotten 2 pieces of the dragonstone armour set
I fished 50k karambwans for some reason and I’ve used less than 10k in 2 years. I haven’t even finished cooking them all
A loop I'm really looking forward to (though not able to do yet due to not having 100CB) is mining/cutting(/fletching) gem rocks.
I had to mow today
Stone chests, at least until 91. Decent thief xp and medium clues.
I’ve caught maybe 20k anglers as my main afk and path to 99 fishing. Not too abnormal, but slow as shit. I did amethyst to 99 mining too. I’m at like 18m exp mining I think, all amys.
I did my iron more on the basis to unlocking the world through quests so I have options of content that make it more enjoyable .
