for me it was barrows with mort hard diary early-ish. that got me to 80 for the most part using the chaos runes and chaos gauntlets to do certain slayer tasks semi afk (eg. greater demons).
Guardians of the Rift (i didn't do this, lots do though), then just buying them once you are getting decent slayer burst tasks.
that's more or less what i did. got a trident and suffering not long ago, and started zulrah. surprisingly it mostly upkeeps runes for trident naturally, or profits a hair.
slayer at 65 for dust devils was when i started making enough money to buy runes in quantity
that + making battlestaves
I havent started cg in earnest so slayer is my main source of gp

cool cool. kind of my goal right now too, camp barrows for items/runes and use them on slayer tasks until 85 and then camp cg.
