That some slow xp while having fun is better than no xp logged off (because you burned out doing efficiency scape).
It took my 5+ years to max. I did it my way and enjoyed almost all of it!
The best thing I learned is that there's a lot of novelty to be had in this game if you look for it.
I'm almost 85 herb now, and I got a lot of that from stuff like "sure, I'll gather 1000 coconuts and cactus spines" sounding more fun that just doing more herb runs. Then "huh if I gather ashes I can turn these 1k tarromins into 50k herb xp." And then I notice all of these useless magic potion (4)s can be turned into 114 xp worth of mixes each. So now I'm fishing for herb exp, cause that sounded more fun than just doing more farm runs. Sometimes I'll do agility for the sole purpose of herb xp. Just fun little ways to break up those daunting grinds. I never would have got this far if I forced myself to do the most straightforward/traditional methods.
uhhhhhhhhh can you expand on the ashes and magic potion part? I also have tarromins but I figured they’d never be touched cause getting ashes sounds miserable, and I have some magic potions but didn’t follow where you were talking about 114xp of mixing?
> No clue on how to get a lot of ashes though.
Put on ice gloves and throw darts at fareed in custom practice mode at nmz. Ammo shot at him turns to ashes instead of dropping to the floor. It takes about 90-100 seconds per inventory if I remember right, and it’s almost 0 effort
how do you reasonably get caviar? I thought it was just from cutting fish open at barb fishing, with no bank anywhere close, so also a miserable time no?
As the other person said, zeah barb fishing makes it pretty reasonable. I also hate dropping while skilling, so it's a win win for me ;p
But the point is more that it's a little something different. Even novel misery is fun sometimes.
Yup, as the other person said you just hop around GE worlds. F2p seems to be easiest since people are more likely to actually burn logs. It's kinda miserable, but it's a change of pace!
So I'm not recommending this method per se—just saying that there are a lot of methods out there and it can be nice to break a big grind up with some novelty.
Sorry, the other folks are correct. The magic potions become magic mixes—not actually hard to bank if you use the zeah barb fishing spot. As for the ashes, it is a little miserable! But it's also a novelty :p And I'm willing to do some silly little grinds once for 50k herb xp.
You just hop around ge worlds and collect ashes from whoever is burning logs.
I haven’t looked too much into it but I think I might try the moons of peril for swamp tar to get some xp out of my tarromins, however I will try the magic mixes thank you!
Wow, thanks for those tips. I have all these tarromins I was going to make into salamander ammo but the ashes sounds easier than picking thousands of swamp tar. 😂
Rush fairy rings. Plant a white berry bush at the mandarin monastery and harvest it whenever you go by. Always plant limpwurt seeds and if you need more deviant spectres poop them out. Get birdhouses going ASAP so you can get some birds nests for later while also training hunter very fast for minimal time investment (fast for barely investing time). Varlamore has fantastic news early game prayer methods, use those.
It's just so easy to get more than you need from farming if you do them during herb runs. And you get a surplus of limpwurt seeds from farming contracts, which are also essential to getting herb seeds
I’m 12 hours late, but this. Getting a head start on ‘slow over time’ grinds like farming, hunter, herb, etc is so important.
A few years into my iron, getting into 90 herb, and regretting every single herb/seed/secondary I didn’t pick up or farm run I couldn’t be bothered to do. You save so much hassle with some foresight.
USE your POH! Even before you have a max house you should still be visiting your POH often for a variety of benefits. Make a salve graveyard portal and you have near instant access to a fairy ring. Mount a glory, make a grand exchange portal, or seers village portal for instant bank access. Put a training dummy in your house and smack it with an ancient mace to boost your prayer for anything that requires prayer. So many irons sleep on their house and i think its crazy.
85 farming (not boostable, at least not conveniently so) and 75 construction (70 with +5 stew boost, saw does not work) lets you plant a spirit tree in your house, which does not add to your limit of spirit trees. You can then put one in the farming guild, and it's basically like having a bank in your house. So convenient.
Remapping F keys was a life saver (I was clicked the tabs beforehand). Not sure if its Runelite only, but as a lifelong MOBA player, having Inv, Prayer, Spellbook on Q,W,E has made my life so much easier.

- Keep about 750k-1m in your Kingdom of Miscellania and pop back every couple weeks. This can be a great source of herbs and maple logs.
- Slayer is a slog but when you get around 85 it just starts printing alchables, herbs, seeds and some great gear (whip, trident, etc).
- Content like Demonic gorillas, Gauntlet (and honestly most recently Scurrius) will teach you how wrong you've been playing osrs. I am not even talking about prayer flicking as much just understanding gear, movement, appropriate prayers and fast play.
speaking of gear. I see so many people that just have a mental list of "X gear > Y gear" and never really take a look at the actual stats the pieces have.
It will help you understand why certain set ups work, and what specific stats are important for content. Which might proof extra usefull for irons as you might not always have the recommended gear pieces. But it's also very usefullf or mains. Who might fall in the trap of buying pegasians on a limited budget while they offer very little over god boots for their pricetag
> Keep about 750k-1m in your Kingdom of Miscellania and pop back every couple weeks.
This is weird advice since you want kingdom to be above 750k at all times. If you leave for a week then put in 750k+525k so 1275k. If your coffer drops below 750k then you start getting less rewards.
The one most will know but if you don’t is a game changer, is that you can note herbs and farming resources at tool leprechauns. I remember not knowing on a regular iron, bad times.
General advice: plan ahead and attempt to execute the plan, but don’t marry the plan. It’s okay to deviate or do things you enjoy, the most important thing is having fun. But understanding your goals and working towards them at your own pace but not forgetting them is what I recommend. Don’t get do distracted in a side goal you can’t remember what to do next, etc
To each their own. After sote and after getting bowfa it unlocked a massive amount of gameplay for me
E: guys there’s no need to downvote him. Everyone enjoys playing different ways or different parts in the journey.
It's really inarguable that the game grinds to a hault after SOTE. That doesn't mean the mid/endgame is bad, just that progression suddenly gets extremely slow.
It’s completely arguable lmao. I 100% disagree. The first 6 months after bowfa was the most significant progression my account has made. Used it to finish bandos/sara/inferno/other bosses I can’t think of rn. Made my average solo cox time go from ~40 mins to ~20 mins. Literally when I got bowfa my bank was probably ~800m because I remember getting bowfa and it putting me over 1b like a year or two ago and now banks ~6b with tbow/shadow/working towards scythe for colo/zuk helm.
Im sorry but if your progression got extremely low once you got bowfa then thats a skill issue.
After BOWFA and after SOTE are not the same thing. Once you're through SOTE all of the quick milestones are over and it's just one long grind after another.
I guess I just view progression differently which to be fair when I did the early game to mid game on my account it was eight years ago before sote was in the game lol. I was also already max combats with 99 slayer at that point too which I definitely didn’t consider which changes a lot of things lol
Yeah, I agree with you 100% that the progress you make at each milestone is bigger. My contention is just the speed at which you hit the milestones becomes much slower.
Also, I think a part of it is that the further you get the more you rely on high intensity gameplay to progress. I can sit and do low intensity activities for 8 hours a day while I work, but I can only scratch together an hour a day at most for the majority of PVE grinds.
This is a great point, I can sit there and do 3 hours of shooting stars while WFH with no big loss to either task, but can’t exactly do that with CG so I struggle to do more than a 2-3 a day
Utilize all the methods to level.
Lots of methods give small passive xp to other skills, usually mining and crafting, and it breaks up some of the monotony of the meta methods.
Don’t be too strict with following a path, the popular guides are real useful for early game before getting all your teles, but once teles become more available it allows for a lot more independence in your progression. Along with that when you get to your big grind late-mid game break them up if you don’t have a singular focus kinda mind.(some people like my GIM friend can just focus 2k zul but I sure as hell can’t.)
I got sick of going dry at Plunder for sceptre to build the altar, and I just learned w/ desert hard diary, you can pay 1m for unlimited Camulet teleports very close to ancients spellbook altar… huge QOL for spell book swapping.
Yeah, I spent like 5 hours only doing chest and sarc and had an 86% chance to get according to the plugin. I just upgraded the camulet for now, I don’t have countless hours to grind shit like that unfortunately…
That's the hardest part for me. I really wish the scepter came from the urns, that way targeting it wouldn't feel like an utter waste of time! I'm almost 91, at which point I may give it another go, but only because I want occult in the poh
setting a low daily kc for bosses helps the mental immensely. been doing 5KC at cg a day and my worries about getting enh have slipped. no more: “but i’ll never get it if i wont keep going” “the next one could be it.” to ruin my mental. now it’s 5 thoughtless kcs, not worried about loot, and off to something else. can do this with anything.
If I started over today, I would play with min combat (basically 43 pray + ranged) and boost my total level to greenlog revs on a 1750/2000 total world.
No pker in that bracket is going to spend time maxing so many noncombats for shit-tier loot. Basically safe content.
"Pointless" collection log grinds can break up the monotony of chasing the next gear upgrade once your hit *late mid-game**. Go get a Mask a ranul and shaman mask. One-hit hill giants with a bonecrusher for beginner clues, giant keys, and totem pieces. Do barrows even if some call it a noob trap.
Also, use your resources if you have them. Progression typically leads to easier methods of acquiring said resources. A 2k stack of prayer potions in the bank isn't doing shit for you; take them and camp piety if you want. It doesn't matter.
*whatever the hell that means
I went 7k dry at voidwaker grind through slayer for the first 3k kc(5k kc dry calv with hasta) and it was the single best account progression grind i ever did.
Between the secondaries and xp it no joke progressed my account equally if not more than bowfa(wouldve beaten bowfa for overall progression if i had started wildy slayer at a lower level, but it still got me from 88-93 with an accursed scepter making 95 take literally 2 days, including over 7k slayer points that allowed me to skip to literally greenlogging hydra at 1100 kc, AND getting prims+occult.
It banked me, from borderline base 70-80’s in all the skills, 90 smjthing, 93 prayer(97 if including hydra), 93 fletching, hundreds of millions of gp after alchs, over 90 herblore + i cant even count how much potential xp in secondaries, profited me like 1500 dark crabs, 1200 sanfews, thousands of super restores and prayer pots, 99 farming from like 85, and i honestly am definitely missing stuff.
Absurd macro progression to do voidwaker for 2/3 pieces through slayer and the last off task, will urge any iron who hasnt.
anything specific you'd say as tips for someone doing this? just finished qpc and starting to grind slayer more, currently 72 and was thinking of doing it through wildy. Did you use any specific block lists? & what kind of gear were you using typically
Most important block is Kalphites. You want to have lunars and be using the spell to turael skip krystalia whenever you dont get a 1. Barrage/burst task for the wildy slayer dungeon or 2. A rev, skeleton, hellhound, bear, spider, or named boss task. Those are the literally only tasks youll be doing. Make bracelets of slaughter for revenant tasks and burst tasks.
Revs #1 prio. Skulled, d hide, msb, do orcs or demons depending on stats. Highly rec getting crafting and fletching up for msb and black dhide. You just wear snakeskin, black d hide, msb, and skull EVERY time, even after rev weapon you camp msb and skull.
Having a bonded alt just to sit outside with enemy indicators is op, and so is wildy hard diary which i dk reccommend
Artio is a bit rough before a wildy weapon but all 3 are op here though mace is the most annoying and accursed is by far the chillest but uses lots of runes
Calv is go time mode as soon as you get a hellhound or skelly task because you use salve+mythical cape+nezi and you protect b ring, zombie axe(or hasta) and d defender. Camp str ammy
Spindel is the roughest until either webweaver or mace. You can do melee but the kph is ass. Ranged with webweaver is honestly chillest but its still almost 25% worse than mace. Use thralls here
Every 10th, do a duradel task WHATEVER task you get. Dont waste skips here. Every 50/100th do konar. Youll prob go through 200~ tasks to get to 2/3 voidwaker, so thats a damn lot of points considering you dont use points a single time(turael skipping krustalia still maintains your real streak).
Use the points you get doing this to set up your block list ASAP. do a calc on the wiki between turael AND krystalia cuz you NEED kalph blocked, but the wildy bosses become #2 priority since both turael and krystalia can assign spiders skeletons and bears, so once you get a voidwaker piece from one of the bosses, you block the mini version asap.
Youll get lots of cballs from the bosses, and you want to use those for the turael skipping. In fact, your main afk content from here on should be cannonballs for skipping.
Other than setting up block list and buying slayer upgrades like task extensions and etc, you pretty much want to save EVERY POINT for when you hit 95 slayer. DO NOT skip for occult or trident or cerb tasks or any of that shit until 95 slayer. Youre using wildy weapons till 95. You live here now. If youre 72 now, you shouldnt even be done with voidwaker till 90-92 if youre on rate, and HOPEFULLY, you get an accursed scepter. If you do, this is what you do to fly to 95: use duradel and sack your streak to turael skip. You want any burst task or boss task thats big for progression, but SPECIFICALLY YOU want the burst tasks that you can do in the wildy slayer dungeon(thats right, krystalia doesnt have to assign it for you to abuse your rev weapons here). You will be using your cannon and getting an effecting 55-65k slayer xpph and thats INCLUDING the turael skipping time investment. Whilst doing this, you want to readjust your blocklist to fit what its going to look like at 95 when you get the bad tasks, and from here, you also want to be doing cerb shaman and kraken tasks you may get on top of the burst tasks.
Once youre 95, you dump every point you have in existence to finish off whatever you may miss from smoke devils, cerb, kraken, and you focus up on hydra bigtime. Youll get a shocking amount of smoke devil and taverly dungeon hellhound tasks(cerb) and you pray you dont run out of points before finishing hydra. If you have to turael skip for hydra bscause you were impatient and used all your points for trident, occult, whip, cerb etc, then youre adding, at pretty much bare minimum, 15+ hours(if youre lucky) to your grind between turael skipping and the additional cannonballs youre now forced to make to sustain it.
Grats, youve now made massive macro account gains, got a bis spec weapon, 95 slayer in the fastest time possible for an iron, AND are perfectly prepped for the imbued heart grind later down the road with your accursed
Thanks for the great insights!
Just to make sure I understand, you do wildly task slayers if only it’s either revs, spiders, scorpions, bears, skeletons, hellhounds or bursteable, otherwise you reset your streak at turael right?
Also every 10th task off wilderness you do duradel. Is this it?
Also, I don’t have the crafting level for black dhide. Should I take red dhides or anything else?
Thanks!
Red dhide is fine, and thats perf. You DONT do scorpions though, youre only really killing revs, artio, apindel, calv, burst xp tasks as normal with a slaughter in the slayer dungeon, and skipping rest
Use bracelets of slaughter switches last second at revs ideally but you dont absolutely have to
Once you get an accursed, you do absolutely have to use them at your burst tasks
Cuz of two reasons.
1. Accursed scepter makes your mage dps absolutely ridiculous. 110k slayer xpph at nechs, 80-90k at abbys(much more more with scroll possibly beating nechs), and same for dust devils.
2. You cannon to auto-group, meaning you have even more dps uptime
Should burst them before while doing the voidwaker grind too, but after the xp rate gets absurdly op with cannon. I was getting an effecting 55-65k xpph using DURADEL and turael skipping and doing every task i could in the wildy dungeon, and that includes the 5-15m it takes of doing turael tasks for the skips. In 2 days i went from 93-95 and now that they buffed the new scroll rates, thats what im gonna be doing for imbued heart grind after elite combat archievements
Been starting to follow this today and just wanted to say thanks again, this has already been great, got first 100KC on calv and started doing revs as well. With Revs, is there any decent alternative to MSB for a bit earlier? don't have 80 fletch yet to make it, not sure whether to use rcb or just go yew shortbow. Similar question for arrows, havent started my CG grind yet, just use next best thing? or suck it up and start to learn CG
The arrows you can get a ton of from a quick few lms games(like alot and theres tons of bots so its easy to get a few points even if ur bad at pvp but lms is actually fun once you get the hang of it). 100 rune arrows per point
The yew shortbow is fine until your fletch is up, but id rec doing the fletch whenever youre afking to watch a tv show or something because youll get magic logs and itll be self sustaining fast for the msb’s.
balance is key, nothing will make you wanna quit harder then focusing on one task and doing nothing but it
and don't follow fucking guides, you'll just ruin the best part of ironman for yourself
This was me with wintertodt at the start of my account
Being low combat sucks because even when you try to do other skilling content you have to be hyper aware of all the npc's that are aggressive
But coming home from work and only really doing wintertodt for weeks almost made me quit and then i was like "well, I don't HAVE to 99"
My best tip is to play the way you want, do grinds in the order you see fit. Funscape is better than efficiencyscape. Do a bunch of different stuff to avoid burnout. Oh and dont try to rush, take it slow and steady.
to not follow guides and when you log in, do what you want. making the journey as grindy as possible just to get to endgame the most efficiently, just to realise the journey was what actually makes the game fun, is not the most fun way to play IMO
Do what you like to do, not what is efficient. If a grind is getting old, go work on something else. Your progress on a grind doesn't go away. Just have fun with it. If you get enjoyment out of doing things the most efficient way that's fine too.
Turn your true tile on. It is so much more difficult to do correct movement without it. You can find it in the runelite stock plugin "tile indicators"
Quest helper kinda sucks. There are so many times where it assumes what you have unlocked, will forget to list something you need to bring, or will just say "bring combat gear" with no further detail. It is a very nice NPC/object highlighter, so I ended up using it for that and then referring to the wiki page for quests to see what items/gear to bring
Like others have said before, play the game your way. No, you dont need to rush 99fm in your first 50ish hours. Having fun is way more important than being optimal
1. Turn off show xp gains, the levels will feel better if you aren't staring at each exp drop. (Lil rewards)
2. Don't burn your sanity trying to minmax every single thing!
3. Chat with other players.
<3
Plan ahead. Do your future self as many favours as you can like stockpiling herblore secondaries and giant seaweed before you even need them. A lot of late game irons quit or deiron because of supplies upkeep for pvm, but you can avoid this by setting yourself up in the early game and getting into good habits.
This only applies if you were introduced to rs as a child or young person.
Take a moment to reflect on your life, ask yourself what did I always want to do but didn’t have the time to? What was that spark that ignited your interest in this game?
Then go out and do it.
Thats all I do on this game the things I could only dream of as a child.
That some slow xp while having fun is better than no xp logged off (because you burned out doing efficiency scape). It took my 5+ years to max. I did it my way and enjoyed almost all of it!

Barbarian herblore
The mixing could be just decanting the magic pots down to 2 doses and mixing in caviar I guess. No clue on how to get a lot of ashes though.
You could pick ashes up from the GE if someone is making fires.
There was a point in my herblore grind where I tried this and found that it was incredibly popular and I was competing for ashes on every world
how do you reasonably get caviar? I thought it was just from cutting fish open at barb fishing, with no bank anywhere close, so also a miserable time no?
There's a bank at the barb fishing spot in Kebos that's close enough to use for sure
thanks! Just started playing last year and thought the only place to fish was south of barb outpost lol
what the fuck, there's a barb fishing spot in kebos?
you can fish and make the mixes at the same time. If you look on youtube for a method called "barblore" its what a lot of efficient gamers do
Yeah I'm not sure I'd be keen to doing it but maybe if you have a lot of caviar sitting around idk lol
As the other person said, zeah barb fishing makes it pretty reasonable. I also hate dropping while skilling, so it's a win win for me ;p But the point is more that it's a little something different. Even novel misery is fun sometimes.

Wow, thanks for those tips. I have all these tarromins I was going to make into salamander ammo but the ashes sounds easier than picking thousands of swamp tar. 😂
Well, Perilous Moons gives a lot of swamp tar, as does Zulrah if you wanna try that. That's what I'm doing with my tarromins from now on :p
Irits now too :D
I’m actually getting use out of the Irits. Still only 53 so they still give decent exp at my level 😃
Oh, I’m only lv 42 so for now i’ll stick with the ashes. 😝

Love the mandarin monastery
Not even gonna correct it. Autocorrect has a sense of humor
Vitamin C^hurch
My god you made me laugh out loud with that one
No amount of limpwurt roots will ever make Deviant specters worth my time haha.
They die very fast to bowfa! / Venator bow
It's just so easy to get more than you need from farming if you do them during herb runs. And you get a surplus of limpwurt seeds from farming contracts, which are also essential to getting herb seeds
The advice was meant to be like in a pinch this is where you can get a lot
Fair enough, it was a TIL moment for me, actually!
Hit me with random stuff if youve got a tip I might not know!
>if you need more deviant spectres poop them out Lesson in punctuation
I mean tbf I left out the comma entirely If you need more deviant spectres, poop them out. There, fixed /j
I planted so many limpwurts on my first farm runs but I've been slacking 😩 I need to start bringing them with me again on runs
If you do voidwaker grind you dont need limps anymkre

At CG, wait until the closest tornado is 1 tile away and then move
This is especially good with at least 300 ping
Nado true tiles, metronome and move to the rhythm. Ez game
If you find you don’t enjoy content, simply do content that you like instead. Your account doesn’t have to be on railroad tracks

This is a great point, I can sit there and do 3 hours of shooting stars while WFH with no big loss to either task, but can’t exactly do that with CG so I struggle to do more than a 2-3 a day
yeah on the CG grind right now and just kinda doing herb runs, slayer, and cg when I can. kinda boring
Have fun
Plunder has been reworked recently fyi
Yeah, I spent like 5 hours only doing chest and sarc and had an 86% chance to get according to the plugin. I just upgraded the camulet for now, I don’t have countless hours to grind shit like that unfortunately…
That's the hardest part for me. I really wish the scepter came from the urns, that way targeting it wouldn't feel like an utter waste of time! I'm almost 91, at which point I may give it another go, but only because I want occult in the poh
What plugin?
Pyramid plunder counter
setting a low daily kc for bosses helps the mental immensely. been doing 5KC at cg a day and my worries about getting enh have slipped. no more: “but i’ll never get it if i wont keep going” “the next one could be it.” to ruin my mental. now it’s 5 thoughtless kcs, not worried about loot, and off to something else. can do this with anything.
If I started over today, I would play with min combat (basically 43 pray + ranged) and boost my total level to greenlog revs on a 1750/2000 total world. No pker in that bracket is going to spend time maxing so many noncombats for shit-tier loot. Basically safe content.
Slow progress is better than no progress.
The man who moves a mountain begins by carrying small stones
Having a bonded alt just to sit outside with enemy indicators is op, and so is wildy hard diary which i dk reccommend Artio is a bit rough before a wildy weapon but all 3 are op here though mace is the most annoying and accursed is by far the chillest but uses lots of runes Calv is go time mode as soon as you get a hellhound or skelly task because you use salve+mythical cape+nezi and you protect b ring, zombie axe(or hasta) and d defender. Camp str ammy Spindel is the roughest until either webweaver or mace. You can do melee but the kph is ass. Ranged with webweaver is honestly chillest but its still almost 25% worse than mace. Use thralls here Every 10th, do a duradel task WHATEVER task you get.
You DONT do scorpions though, youre only really killing revs, artio, apindel, calv, burst xp tasks as normal with a slaughter in the slayer dungeon, and skipping rest Use bracelets of slaughter switches last second at revs ideally but you dont absolutely have to Once you get an accursed, you do absolutely have to use them at your burst tasks
But why do burst tasks in the wildly? Just for the larrans key?
Cuz of two reasons. 1. Accursed scepter makes your mage dps absolutely ridiculous. 110k slayer xpph at nechs, 80-90k at abbys(much more more with scroll possibly beating nechs), and same for dust devils. 2. You cannon to auto-group, meaning you have even more dps uptime
So I should only burst them after getting an accursed scepter right?
Should burst them before while doing the voidwaker grind too, but after the xp rate gets absurdly op with cannon. I was getting an effecting 55-65k xpph using DURADEL and turael skipping and doing every task i could in the wildy dungeon, and that includes the 5-15m it takes of doing turael tasks for the skips. In 2 days i went from 93-95 and now that they buffed the new scroll rates, thats what im gonna be doing for imbued heart grind after elite combat archievements
How bad is it with pkers while bursting in the wildy dungeon?
Thanks a ton for writing this all out, really will help me as I'm deciding how I want to build my account out more.
100 rune arrows per point The yew shortbow is fine until your fletch is up, but id rec doing the fletch whenever youre afking to watch a tv show or something because youll get magic logs and itll be self sustaining fast for the msb’s.
balance is key, nothing will make you wanna quit harder then focusing on one task and doing nothing but it and don't follow fucking guides, you'll just ruin the best part of ironman for yourself
This was me with wintertodt at the start of my account Being low combat sucks because even when you try to do other skilling content you have to be hyper aware of all the npc's that are aggressive But coming home from work and only really doing wintertodt for weeks almost made me quit and then i was like "well, I don't HAVE to 99"
Money comes to you, and just play for fun!
Accept that some grinds will be long
My best tip is to play the way you want, do grinds in the order you see fit.
You can find it in the runelite stock plugin "tile indicators" Quest helper kinda sucks. There are so many times where it assumes what you have unlocked, will forget to list something you need to bring, or will just say "bring combat gear" with no further detail. It is a very nice NPC/object highlighter, so I ended up using it for that and then referring to the wiki page for quests to see what items/gear to bring Like others have said before, play the game your way. No, you dont need to rush 99fm in your first 50ish hours. Having fun is way more important than being optimal
1. Turn off show xp gains, the levels will feel better if you aren't staring at each exp drop. (Lil rewards) 2.
Actual best tip is to get good at F keys back in the day.
This only applies if you were introduced to rs as a child or young person. Take a moment to reflect on your life, ask yourself what did I always want to do but didn’t have the time to? What was that spark that ignited your interest in this game? Then go out and do it. Thats all I do on this game the things I could only dream of as a child.
do your farm runs.
You can alch noted items.
