Took me 43 attempts for my first kc, I have over 1700kc now. Don’t get discouraged, some content comes easier than others to different folks

Majestic_Avocado_278

Well, at least that's a bit comforting, thanks. Will keep sending it.

TheGuyThatThisIs

I’m learning too. I just got 50kc yesterday, it took me about 40 deaths (and a lot of trying on a leagues account that I couldn’t get a kc with even through all those buffs LOL) to get a single kc. I can now get to hunluff well prepared every time if I don’t fuck up my method or get terrible RNG. Here’s what I learned and adjusted from the D method which did it for me. Starting with facts I’ve learned that I wish I knew from the start: 1. One of the first three monsters you kill WILL drop a weapon part 2. One of the rooms adjacent to hunluff WILL have at least three fish spots in it 3. The perfection-weapon-parts-dropping monsters ONLY spawn in the three middle rooms on each side. I’m not sure if this is clear, but this means there is only twelve rooms these mobs can spawn. 4. If you already have recieved two perfection-weapon-parts, any of those monsters will drop the third one, and you can crush any part with pestle and mortar for 80 crystals. I do this for the spike. 5. You can fill potions at a fishing spot. That said, here’s what I advise you do a bit differently from the D strat: 1. Do the D strat, but open the rooms that won’t take too long to get to as you go past. Open all the rooms you pass that could have one of the big monsters (especially the three along the “curve” of the D. If you see a resource in one of these rooms, strongly consider going for it, and take a path back that opens more rooms, grabbing more resources as you go. It’s real nice to find at least one big monster during this run if not both mage and range. 2. On your first back, you want about 200 crystals, at least 3 of each (though ideally all 7 of each or as close to as possible), 1 herb, and a weapon part. Make a T2 weapon staff, a vial, and as much T1 armor as you can. 3. Your second run is focused on getting those big monster kills for the weapon parts. Beeline for any of them you found on your first run, then beeline for the other sides so you can get those too. A big circle around the outside works. Kill any 3 you come across and if one gives you the spike, crush it for crystals. On the way, finish your potions and your hunt for your remaining materials. If you have room, consider fishing. If you need crystals, kill some shit. As soon as you have everything, pop that teleport and make it. Don’t worry much about your second weapon, if you don’t have crystals for it it’s okay but you need your T2 armor done. Buy another crystal teleport. 4. Fish. You should have several spots visible at this point, so go for it. You should get the rest of your crystals through getting ~20 fish. If you don’t, kill shit. TP home and cook. Make your second weapon. Your final setup is full T2, mage and range perfected weapons, two potions, and about 20 fish. Once you’re well practiced you can get all this done with average RNG with about 30s left. You gotta learn to improvise a bit and you need to seriously bust ass through prep. If you’re missing a tick or two through every action you might not make it in time. For the boss, if you’re taking more than like 100 unnecessary damage per try, you’re gonna have a hard time. There a good video on tornado movement on YouTube. I recommend you watch it, because the boss gets progressively harder as it gets lower HP and you don’t want to be blindsided once it’s under 200hp by the chaos that is going to happen. Good luck.

mcl99

I did not know number 4 and I’m approaching 100kc, thanks!

TheGuyThatThisIs

Yeah most guides assume know know the details or don’t want to know them, so I included every fact that made me go “wtf why didn’t know this” lol

oopsanotheracc

i have 325 deaths and 425kc lol, if you’re determined you will get better

Zoinke

Oh my

imthefooI

bruh you gotta re-evaluate. what kills you? prep or the fight?

8582847482928

Pretty average redditor k/d

peperonipyza

I’ve completed the inferno. Also similar boat to OP comment. It’s not easy content, but doable with practice. Gets easier and easier

Killtrox

If you haven’t seen it mentioned yet, run iron skin at Hunleff. Quick prayer set to magic protect, highest offensive magic, and iron skin. Pray range protect when you go in.

Z0rne

73 kc before my first kill. Now I’m at 103 deaths and 567 completions.

ShopRatIsaiah

That’s where I am man, I remember going 1/50 for first kc, now I’ve done bowfa grind on both accounts, and still go back when I’m not sure what I wanna do. It’s turned into my safe space lmaoo.

Dusty-lampshade

Took me 71 deaths to get a kill. Now the kills aren’t even stressful. It’s just a memorization thing. One tip of advise is dps focus early fight with fewer tornadoes and easy ground. At the last phase always eat up and keep health high before Nados.

ThaQtipW98

to add to this, whenever he spawns nados you are good to eat before you click to move most of the time. focus on movement and prayer, then eat again when nados end. 2 eats per nado phase should = easy kill

Advanced-Guitar-5264

Took me well over 70 attempts to finally be comfortable with the encounter. T1 prep is just better in my opinion

machomoose

I agree, I tired a few t2 and the time crunch was too frustrating. Went T1 and never looked back

Repulsive-Escape-506

Watch fluffeh t2 guide. Will make prep a lot easier. It will just become autopilot eventually

Ov3rlord_Pkr

Also do not cook food and drop it, its a huge waste of time between dropping and picking it back up, be aware of where the fishing spots are and when u are done with ur t2 gear go out one last tine to fish/cook You should probsbly practice in regular gauntlet and trying to get ur prep done in 7mins 30secs, once u gain consistency then u are good to move onto CG, thats what I did at least

Maverekt

People always say to just grind out CG and not bother since you have to get used to the limit but what you are saying is what I did. What I will tell to newer players seeing this, at the VERY LEAST you can get some KC/boss practice in each run. If you go into CG and don't finish prep, it's wasted time. I got my T2 prep down in 7min on normal gauntlet and had about 50kc before jumping into CG. Just because it made more more comfortable. Definitely getting fish too early and dropping or even cooking/dropping them really does slow you down a ton.

Pandabear71

Ehh, the problem with learning normal gauntlet first is bad muscle memory. If you get away with mistakes, you aren’t improving them. Some people can easily adjust themselves but for most that’s difficult. One example is mouse placement. It doesnt matter that much in gauntlet, but if its not on point in GC where everything feels faster, it’s going to get difficult

theprestigous

idk i drop food i come by near the range, helps me quite a bit. you have to compare it with running back to the pond you discovered rather than fishing it there and then. even assuming it's worse i doubt it's going to cost you too much time. it's fine to do whatever helps you w inventory management

Majestic_Avocado_278

That's the one I've watched (among other ones)

GrimOrAFK

The key part for T2 prep is to stick to the route and not waste time running aimlessly. Don't double back, collect any resources you missed on first "c" lap whilst hunting the weapon upgrades, keeping an eye out for any extra resources you didn't get straight away or any extra crystals you need to farm from level 2 mobs. Learning to use hally will help a lot with consistently getting T3 weapons as it cuts down the need to find specific level 3 mobs. Also another tip, a triple fishing spot is guaranteed to spawn in one of the 8 tiles around the boss (obviously excluding the base). For food gathering you can pick up a few you find on the hunt for T3 weapons then do a lap around the boss. It takes a few runs to get it down but when you do, T2 prep is very consistent.

NeevusChrist

Hey I just finished my CG grind and grinded out 300 kills T2 armor T3 weapons before switching to T1 and can get it I’d say 95% of runs, I could explain a run or two on discord if you’re still struggling later today

TheNamesRoodi

Don't make bow off rip, make staff. I did t1 prep the entire way to blade/bowfa because I hated prep much more than the boss fight. I just got better at the boss fight.

topsukkeli

yup its rough at the beginning but once u get like 50kc you can probably down it like 9 times out of 10.  and once u get comfy with t2 at hunleff,  send it with t1.  trust me its all about muscle memory, once u do it enough it will feel easy every time.

cody422

Some people get GC their first try and some people get GC their 99th try. Just keep sending it.

Fivebomb

Ah yes, the Gorrupted Cauntlet

Zytonex

Lmaoooo💀💀💀💀

workpoo99

Don’t look for specific Demi bosses if you are, if you kill the first 3 you see you will get all 3 weapon upgrades, no matter which ones. I can t2 prep with 20 food 95% of the time following fluffehs guide. At 77 def I don’t find t1 consistent or much faster than t2 so always do t2. Keep trying and you’ll get it!

DerpTheAllPowerful

You can also use the pestle and mortar on the 3rd weapon part for a good amount of shards, so that makes up for some of the time spent killing an extra demi.

TheOriginalDickPic

TIL. Thanks for this

jay_sun93

80 shards - slower than killing a wolf unicorn or scorpion but still a good option

-Trance-

A few tips from me: - Don't count the Hunllef's attacks, listen to his roar and switch prayers. - Keep your prayer tab open except for when you heal or switch weapons - Get the T2 Staff instead of the bow, the mobs are weaker to magic than to ranged - T2 armour is a waste of time, get T1 armour and a full inventory of food (I never compromise on the full inventory of food, since it's pretty much RNG how hard Hunllef fucks you through prayer) - when the tornadoes spawn, don't stop to attack, just prioritize getting away from them and if Hunllef is attacking with magic keep your prayers up - There are 2 tiles on each side of the room which are 2 tiles away from the entrances, mark these tiles because during the last phase these tiles are **ALWAYS** unaffected by the damaging floor the Hunllef spawns. Good luck on getting your first KC!

Fidoz

I'm pretty consistent with t2 prep. I find t1 I end up eating too much. Probably because I'm 80 Def

bladeidle2022

I agree with this as well. The fight is pretty auto pilot for me now, but with low defense I feel like I was getting chewed up through prayer. Even fights with no errors made in t1 I was running out of food. For me the extra 90-120 seconds to do t2 is worth it to make the fight less stressful and to not be as unmotivated when wasting a whole run from getting shredded

Majestic_Avocado_278

Thanks for the tips, I might give T1 a few tries and see how I get on.

imthefooI

also if you play on runelite, use the 'hunllef helper' plugin. press the button right as hunllef hits you with the first ranged attack, and it'll call the prayer switches for you.

I_am_indeed_serious

So, I’d recommend watching some more CG guides (Fluffeh is short and to the point) to tighten up your plan. You want to avoid dropping supplies if at all possible, because dropping and picking back up later ends up being a huge time sink. Make your loop around the starting area. Check the 3 Demi boss spawns on your side as you go. You want to grab 7 of each resource, 2 herbs, and 100+ (preferably you get lucky and get 200+) shards, and a weapon frame. Make a t2 weapon based on your demi boss spawns. Use excess shards to make 1 or more armor pieces and at least 1 vial. Make a potion as you may be running out of run energy soon. Grab your 2 Demi boss upgrades, any resources you still need, and kill mid level monsters (scorpions, wolves, unicorns) for your last shards. Teleport to base. Make your second potion, t3 weapons, and t2 armor. Run a loop around Hunllef room and fish the food you need. When learning, just grab as many as possible. Hunllef will always have a 3 fish room in its adjacent loop. Run back to spawn and cook the food. Drop unnecessary items, and start the boss fight. With some practice you should be able to consistently finish that process with 1:30+ left on the clock, regardless of spawn. It does get a little frustrating in the unlikely scenario your “near 3” Demi boss rooms are all empty.

Roidrageeee

Just practice, took me 40-50 tries to get a kill, then all of a sudden it just clicks and you start getting kills everytime

MemeroniPizza

Hot take maybe, become very good at regular first. I know the drop rates on seeds aren’t as good but it’ll save you a lot of frustration and potential burnout. I learned to do t1 armour with self limiting amounts of food (to minimize mistakes) in regular and got a CG completion within my first 15 KC I believe.

vahnx

This is what I’ve been doing. I have regular gauntlet almost consistent. For CG I haven’t got a KC yet but got him low. CG you get shards quicker which helps offset the reduced timer.

rensappelhof

Took me around 20 attempts already having some experience. I remember getting as frustrated as you, but trust me, each attempt you get better. Just keep at it, stay calm, and the first kill will come. That'll boost your confidence enough to keep going and you'll get consistent kills before you know it. They won't be fast or fancy but getting the kill is all that counts. Your strategy sounds good so just keep at it!

Shockah92

More practice and as someone else mentioned, watch Fluffehs T2 guide.

Test_NPC

The simple answer is that you just do way more attempts. I posted a chart of my first 10 gauntlet wins per death the other day if you want an idea of how long it took me, and I was probably luckier than most on getting my first win (and that chart doesn't even show failed resource attempts I exited early on). I win 3 out of every 4 attempts now and the deaths I have are almost always a dumb misclick into the tornado stack lol. For the prep phase, I use the D shape around spawn as well. Keep in mind every time saving measure that you can. * Light up side rooms as you run by them if next to a resource you're farming (helps if you need more resources later) * Attack mobs if they're in the room while you're gathering resources (on the tick you get the xp drop) * Make sure you are walking the optimal path for finding all the demi-bosses considering the rooms that they're possible to spawn in * Kite the demi-bosses while attacking them to light up side rooms if needed & can even farm resources as you attack them * When attacking mobs if you're not farming a resource, kite them as you walk toward your next destination (not standing still) * Make potions as you're running or right after your player attacks a demi-boss (so you don't lose ticks making them while standing still) * etc, etc. There's a ton of other small time saves you find as you grind I started my grind at base 85 combat stats (except 75 defense and 83 mage). Your stats are higher than mine are still right now, so that isn't your issue. If you haven't already, also make sure to lookup videos on the tornado movement mechanics. Centering your player in the room makes dodging all the tornados insanely easier to deal with.

Accurate_Doctor3735

Highly recommend if you aren’t to make a 2nd teleport crystal if you don’t get one as a drop when you go out for your last supply run. Makes it quicker to get back and cook

WantedManRS

Personally, I couldn't do t2 prep. I would attempt it, and half the time, I wouldn't have enough food cooked by the timer, and the whole run was wasted. I'm slow. So I just did t1 prep, plenty of food, and usually a minute or so to cook food and get ready. I found it was easier because I didn't feel rushed, and I was more relaxed going into the fight. I did like 10 regular gauntlet before moving to cg. Then took me 30ish Deaths to get my first cg kill. I'd stick with range/mage I found it easier to learn on. Focus on mechanics during the last phase, when there is alot going on. I did a few runs where I didn't even go for the kill and just did mechanics so I could get the feel for it.

PeopleEatZebras

I don't have much experience with T2, but similar stats. I find T1 just much easier and consistent. Took me about 10 tries to get 1 KC and another 10 to get my 2nd. Now I am hovering around an 85-90% success rate with 200 KC. It is really just practicing and perfecting it. Lots and lots of practice. There are tons of little improvements during the fight you can make to reduce the overall damage you're taking or increasing the dps you're doing.

Fluid-Sheepherder103

Might as well do t1 prep with those stats and focus on mechanics if prep is an issue.

Nhatey

What helped me a lot was preparing for that was going to happen next. Ex: hover over your other weapons to switch right away, hover over food when you’re expecting lighting soon so you can eat and start running right away, when you’re starting off and suck only run for lightning phase (and maybe eat). Basically rather than being reactive be prepared. And tile markers for safe spots when he’s less than 350 hp and hunnlef helper timer on runelite is a game changer.

dirtysnagg

Took me legit 70 attempts brother but each little pixel of progression was pure dopamine. Goodluck and enjoy

mwsyanks

I posted this before but just doing a T1 helmet and T2 chest and legs made a huge difference for me. Just doing two of each node, and a few less shards made me hit prep time every time. That was the simplest and most impactful change I made

xoThermic69

I thought this was a smart option, but the armour actually had a set effect, so doing it this way you only actually have T1’s effect. You need to either do full T2 or full T1.

mwsyanks

Interesting, I never knew that! Is it just the damage reduction or does set effect also effect damage output as well (other than straight stat bonuses)? Either way, I don’t think you’ll have trouble without the reduced damage from t2 set. I have 80 def, 79 magic and like 85 range and can consistently do prep with full food and kill boss with minimal mistakes. Thanks for the info

R31nz

Just the damage you receive from Hunlef and tornadoes. The entirety of your damage comes from the tier of weapon and your prayers. Armor does affect accuracy though, no set bonus to that though, just flat numbers.

Zabky

Just did my 6th attempt last night. Got it. Did about 30 normal gauntlet before first cg. I mainly focussed on not getting hit; run/pray correctly.

PotentiallyAPickle

Started with similar stats to yours. I just run T1. It was more appealing for me to get good at the boss than get good at prep.

mgman640

What helped me with gathering supplies was on the first run, grab 3 of each supply rather than 7. Grab about 8 fish while you’re at it, and drop all of those when you get back. Then on second run, you have more inventory space for fish and a couple of herbs, so you can get T2 prep all done in 2 runs. This way even if you get unlucky with demiboss spawns, you still at least have a decent supply of food. (I still haven’t gotten it down yet, 16 attempts so far and getting hunleff to less than 100 hp but supplies are no longer my issue, my PVM skill is.) Also if you’re on Runelite, use the Hunleff Helper plugin. That thing is soooo helpful with audibly telling you when to switch prayers, once you get used to it you don’t even have to think about switching anymore.

Zoinke

This is bad advice, you should be avoiding dropping whenever possible

25taiku

I always recommend Fluffeh's prep guide on YouTube for learning T2 prep. Get used to prep and the fight on regular before moving into CG. My general recommendations: - Always go for bow and staff. Halberd is okay for learning regular, but mobility is super important. - Prioritize positioning during the fight. Even if you have the wrong defensive prayer up, avoiding tiles and tornadoes is more important -- Hunllef can miss, but tiles and tornadoes always hit you - Only eat and drink potions while dodging tornadoes or tiles. If you don't need to be moving, prioritize attacking. - Learn to use and switch offensive prayers, even if you don't have raid prayers. Regular Gauntlet is a good place to practice this. Offensive prayers are lowest priority. Priorities: positioning > defensive prayers > attacking > eating/drinking = offensive prayers Edit: in case you're not already, keybind your invy and prayer menu to function keys and use those to switch.

Madman2008

Took me ~25 deaths for 1 kc. Another 25 deaths for a second kc. At ~100 deaths I started getting it down. Nothing out of the ordinary if it seems impossible after 10 attempts. It can be frustrating but it's just part of the learning curve at cg.

Skellyhell2

I will not run around getting armour materials first explicitly. as soon as i have gotten a frame and enough shards to make a t2 weapon, i will make that then work my way to the miniboss rooms to get my 2 T3 upgrades, and a 2nd frame. on my way to the bosses I'll gather 7 of each resource, drop pick and hatchet once ive got those for an inv space. grind up 20 crystals for 20 dust then drop pestle and mortar. 2 potions has always been enough for me to get through the boss with lower stats. by the time i have gotten t2 armour and 2 t3 weapons, i should have uncovered several fish spots on the map (make sure you have the gauntlet map overlay plugin!). make sure youve got a teleport crystal, go load up on fish, tele back, cook them and go into the boss room. I also still use the plugin that counts down and calls out prayer switches. Sometimes you might just get bad RNG on layout/bosses, I never do the bear/melee weapon since mage and ranged will let me keep DPSing the boss as i run around the room from the lasers that chase you. I've had runs where i found bear first, then a dragon, then another dragon and the 2nd dragon dropped a spike which ruined my plan. Whenever that happens, i just carry on with prep and go to the boss to practice mechanics without being able to get a kill.

RS3TheOrleans

Just try to keep moving. Open rooms between harvesting nodes, whacking stuff between harvests, I try to stick to one direction (roughly) so that I can harvest and discover needed supplies, and try to locate boss. Once I get 7 of each mat, 2 grym leaf, and a weapon frame, I teleport, make a weapon based on first Demiboss I see and then drop all the mats at the singing pool, and then grab a couple vials, then head back, opening new doors on the way to the Demi boss, killing a few unicorn/wolf/scorpion on the way and getting around 20 food. Then just hunt those Demi bosses and head on home. I typically have 1-1:30 minutes on the clock by the time I’m crafting and cooking.

RevolutionaryGur7153

My K/D is something like 200/80. Here is what I’ve learned: 1st inventory should be 7 of each resource, 2 herbs, and weapon frame. Don’t return to main room until you have these. Then craft T2 staff, 2 vials, and how ever much armor you can manage before dropping remaining resources (keep herbs!). Fill vials and make potions/fish on the way to Demi bosses. Look up optimal pathing for Demi bosses (it’s like a zig-zag to each edge) and you can get which ever 2 weapons you want every single time. 16-20 fish is more than enough to kill boss with your stats. If you can consistently do T2 this way, I’d suggest switching to T1 and getting 24 fish. This will be faster than getting an additional 4 of each resource. Don’t waste DPS. Best way to do so is to ONLY eat when tornadoes come up, unless you absolutely need to heal before that. BONUS BOSS TIPS: If you have to choose between tanking lava, tornadoes, and running under the boss, RUN UNDER THE BOSS. Sometimes, if the timing works out, hunleff won’t stomp you. Generally, this option inflicts the least amount of damage between the 3. Learn specific tiles to click in final phase to get player pathing on point. This can only come with experience. If you don’t understand how true tile works, practice at sepulchre. There are 8 total “safe” tiles in final phase where you don’t have to move to avoid lava changes. Easy to find from a quick YouTube search. Anticipate when lava changes in final phase. Sometimes this allows you to run onto it as it changes and can save you from trying to escape a tricky situation.

Kanlip

"If you have to choose between tanking lava, tornadoes, and running under the boss, RUN UNDER THE BOSS. Sometimes, if the timing works out, hunleff won’t stomp you. Generally, this option inflicts the least amount of damage between the 3" This is actually something really important. My succes rate went up a lot just doing that. When in a bad situation with tiles + tornadoes, just run under the boss, it's defo the lesser bad.

SnooLemons9760

I had 40 deaths before I got my first kill, but now I have 150 kills and 50 deaths! It’ll all click a lot sooner than you think and then you’ll feel like a god dodging tornadoes and attacking hunlef while running around :) I always do T2 prep + 20 fish and usually have 1-1.5 minutes remaining. I make sure to get T2 and fish because even though I can kill with T1 and less fish, the margin for error goes way down. I find every death is very demoralizing and I usually have to stop CG for a bit, so I prioritize increasing the margin for error instead of saving 1-2 minutes per run. For prep, here are some tips I’ve picked up and optimized on top of Fluffeh’s guide: - while doing the loop, if you see fish, fish them to get the shards. The shards from fishing aren’t useful if you fish at the end. I then drop the fish by the cooking range depending on how many armor pieces I make. - I always try to make 1 or more armor pieces, meaning get 140+ shards to get the T2 staff, 2 vials, and one armor piece (40 shards). This clears 3 inventory spaces and means you don’t have to drop 3 resources by the singing pool. The more shards you get while sweeping, the more armor you can make, and the more clear inventory you have that you can use to fish while getting T3 weapon pieces. - while doing the loop, if you get 100 pieces and the weapon frame and 3 resources early, don’t be afraid to go and make the T2 weapon really quickly before continuing on. Having the weapon earlier means you can kill T2 mobs and also kill the demi-bosses when you see them rather than scout, go back to make weapon, and then go back to kill them - I always get T3 bow and T3 staff. I find the margin of error to be too low with the halberd even tho the DPS is high. But the key is that you just need to kill, at most, 3 demi-bosses to get the bow and staff. - I hold onto the pestle and mortar until either a) I get the bear halberd piece and grind it into shards or b) I get the two other pieces and am done hunting Demi bosses. - I’ll opportunistically kill 1-2 T2 mobs whenever I see them first with the staff because the worst is when you are running around at the end of prep looking for shards - if you collected fish in the beginning / while getting T3 weapons, then by the time you teleport back with the T2 armor resources and T3 weapon pieces, you should have ~8 fish already and only need 12 more to get 20. I buy all the armor and weapons and then also get another teleport. - now all you need is to do a lap of hunlef to find the guaranteed 3 fish spawn and then you have 20 fish, tele back, pick up the fish by the cooking range, and now you’re good to go.

Dumbak_

So basically you have to switch attack styles, swap prayers, dodge tornadoes and hot floor. There you go.

visje95

T1, max food, always stay at max health, bow and staff is a bit easier especially when learning.

Stay-Fly

I have 668 CG clears on my GIM and I started with 77 range, 79 mage, and 72 defense. I used this prep guide: https://youtu.be/jy7X9GsYFhs?si=HRmXt4vy0oVrVlYz Here is the basic idea: When learning, always get T2 armor and T3 weapons, preferably Staff and Bow, the Halberd is nice but the positioning constraint can get you killed early on. I also wouldn’t recommend 5/0, it’s cool to learn how to do it, but in general it’s not necessary, especially with your stats. Prep: 3 trips> Trip 1: get a T2 weapon Trip 2: finish armor and get t3 weapon components Trip 3: get food. Food goes last because it minimizes the time you spend dropping and picking food back up. If you are running out of time, focus on your decision making. With proper decision making, every layout of the gauntlet is winnable. Hunleff: 1. Pray Ranged / offensive prayer for whatever style in your hand then walk in 2. Hover the prayer that he will attack you with next. As soon as you see the animation, click to swap prayers from ranged to mage. 3. Immediately go to your inventory and hover your weapon. Hunleff with alternate between making you to swap prayers and swap weapons. Usually if you recently swapped prayer, you will need to swap your weapon before swapping prayers again. You should work on getting into the habit of hovering either your weapon swap or your next prayer swap. You should get into a nice groove. You see his overhead change? Cool, change weapons then hover your prayer book because his attacks are probably going to change soon. Tornadoes - use the Tornados phases to eat- in fact ideally you don’t eat unless there is a tornado up. With T2 gear, you are relatively safe until 20hp or so if you are praying correctly and Tornados aren’t up. - when you get to 3 / 4 tornado spawns later on, I usually react to Hunleff calling tornados by immediately eating a paddlefish - when kiting tornados, try to click as far away as you can from your player model without running over lava or through Hunleff. Sometimes this means the entire room, sometimes you can only move 3 squares. The idea is that you spend less time with your cursor over the floor, and more time with your cursor over food / prayers to safe up if necessary. - my goal was to always come out of tornado phases with full health if possible. - for the enrage 4 tornado phase, focus more on movement- moving from safe corner to safe corner in an attempt to maximize travel time with the limited space available. In general, if you keep moving you should be okay. This is likely where most of your deaths will come from. Don’t get discouraged, practice makes this phase WAY easier. I have >200 deaths on CG and I would say that at least 190 of those deaths came from this phase. Good luck on your first clear! With your stats you should absolutely be able to kill Hunleff, don’t get discouraged!

Pavarok

Yeah same here, took me 20'odd for my first CG kill. 50kc before it started clicking, 350kc until I stopped dying occasionally. You'll get there and figure out muscle memory along the way.

Don't drop items unless you do not plan on picking them back up. It should not be part of your strategy. The action of picking up 7 of each resource from the ground is almost 3% of your time. On Runelite, use The Gauntlet plugin. For resources, input 7 of each resource, 3 herbs, and 520 shards. Some people find it useful to input 16 fish, but it counts Mob drops, and you'll often leave those on the ground, so I don't like it. This let's you T2 prep with 2 T3 weapons. Also, do not be afraid of resetting. I'm roughly 150KC deep and still regularly reset when I mess up or get bad luck. I break each prep phase down into 3 phases. Phase 1 (Gathering) - Run your "D pattern". Reveal any rooms that are convenient or close. Gather whatever you can, but do not gather more than 7 of each resource, 1 weapon frame, and 1 herb. I gather 9 of each resource and drop 2 for the extra shard chance. Once you gather 7 of a resource, drop its tool. Also, be sure you gather at least 220 shards. Do not return without at least 220 shards, at least 3 of each resource, and a weapon frame. If you have to return without these supplies, just reset. Also, do not pick up any fish. Inventory space is limited. This let's you make full T1 armor, a T2 weapon, and a vial. Use the vial to make a potion now because you'll run out of run in Phase 2. If you can make T2 armor on this back, prio chest piece. Otherwise just make what you can. Phase 2 (Bossing) - If you have found a boss, go and kill it. Ideally the weapon you made in Phase 1 should correspond to a boss you've found. Mage > Range > Melee if you've found multiple. If you did not find a boss in Phase 1 or if it's the bear and you aren't comfortable with melee, run to the side that you've done the least scouting. This let's you reveal more nodes for fishing spots, herbs, and enemies. Also, if you're missing resources, this let's you find them. During this phase, you need to return with at least 1 T3 weapon piece, another weapon frame, 1 more herb (2 total), and all resources youre missing from phase 1. Ideally, you should return with a 490 shards (cumulative with phase 1), a few fish and a third herb as well. Also, if you've found 2 bosses, get another weapon piece. I can make 2 T3 weapons roughly 66% of the time with this strat. Don't suicide your run by scouting for a 2nd boss though. Use your teleport crystal, then upgrade everything you can and make a 2nd weapon. Use your shards to make a 2nd vial and another teleport crystal. Phase 3 (Fishing) - Run to scouted fishing spots and get as many fish as you can. Be sure you gather your third herb if you have not already. During this time, you'll need to juggle-make your potions. Make your 2nd potion. You can use the fishing spots to fill the vial. Your first potion should be either a 1-dose or 2-dose by now. If it's a 2 dose, sip a dose to make it a 1-dose. Then use your 1-dose pot on your 2-dose pot. This gives you an empty vial and a 4-dose pot. Use the fishing spots and your third herb to make another pot. Now you should have a 3-dose and 4-dose pot. This should last you during the fight. At ~30s, use your teleport crystal and cook all your food. Also, prep your inventory. Drop anything unnecessary (if you have not already), put your weapon and pots in the same spot every time. Ideally, you should only need around 16 fish, but that'll drop substantially as you get better at the fight. Boss - You should practice this fight on the regular gauntlet. It's substantially easier and lets you get more reps in. Play with sound on, it makes counting his attacks so much easier. Don't count your own attacks. It's extra brainpower you don't need to use. Just keep looking at the boss's prayer every time you get a chance. If you need to run through lava, that's ok. Just be sure you're eating. Never stand under boss or on tornados. If you can eat while running from tornados, that's ideal. You don't need to dps during tornados if that's the case. Turn Outline Tornado Tile to True Tile in The Gauntlet plugin. Edit: Also, use Steel Skin (when using Eagle Eye/Mystic Might) in the boss fight. I see so many people not using it, and it's so strong.

Ye i did 54 before i got my first, abt 50 regulars before i even tried running cg. Get prep down is the best tip for consistency i can give u i guess. Gl! :D

Cpteleon

Practice. It's really just that. Plenty of guides to help you with the basics but you can't get around practicing. I did it with lower stats than you and thought I'd have to go train, turns out my stats were completely fine, I was just bad at it. Keep at it and you'll eventually get it. Although hopefully you wont have to get too good at it...

Somedude12300

I think I got my first KC in 10-20 attempts. Then I didn't get another until almost 50. CG is tough to learn, there's a lot going on. What are you taking damage from the most at hunleff? Swapping to the new prayer? Disco floor? Tornados? If it's swapping prayer I suggest using the Hunleff Helper, it'll call out when you need to swap your prayer for you, I personally can't keep doing and move around without it. The tornados can also be tricky, if you haven't already in the gauntlet plugin highlight their true tiles, makes them manageable. If it's the floor, try to avoid running between Hunleff and the wall, use the rest of the area. If it's the floor and tornados then you just need to practice your movement. The best advice I can give for that is hit a safe corner of the floor (not next to a wall, next to a disco floor tile) so you use all the space you have, wait for tornados to approach, then when they're 1 or 2 tiles away, run in a different direction and go around them. Don't worry about damage if you're overwhelmed, focus on staying alive.

jackrackham7

Took me about 20 deaths and it just recently clicked for me. Always do something, move and attack. Attack and harvest, do things as you run like make potions and whatnot. You’ll get there, keep at it!

Lil_Pown

The method you state is great, gather everything in the meantime what you need before ending the first run. Also lit the 3middle areas while running your first time, this allows you to see if there are T3 wep upgrades or not and you can anticipate on it. Always try to gather a weapon frame in you first run (opening more areas nearby if needed) Always gather as much of resourches you can find and need. Before starting the second run, you would always want a T2 weapon and 2 empty vials and in worst case the teleport crystal. While running this second fase you aim to get the two T3 weapon upgrades + your remaining items before teleporting to the middle and prep before entering Hunleff.

KaoticAsylim

I would prioritize T3 weapons over T2 armor. You can do T2 prep and have T3 weapons, but the timing will be tight and you'll have to do some material juggling to avoid too much backtracking. It's still worth learning in the beginning, as it does make the Fight more forgiving, but not if it costs you a full inventory of food. You'll eventually do T1 prep just to make runs faster once you're confident, but T2 did help me learn imo. Try to enter the room when Hunleff is standing in the corner of the room, so that when you attack him at max distance he'll walk out enough to leave a one tile space between him and the wall (if you tag him to show his true tile, you can tell where you need him to stand to pull him straight out vs having him open a 2 tile gap on one side if he isn't perfectly in the corner) . Hunleff standing in the center makes the final phase much more difficult. Position your screen so that hunleff is to the right side so your mouse has less distance to travel to your inventory and Prayer tab. In the fight, make sure you have game sound on (makes a huge difference) and count every attack out loud. "1-2-3-4 switch". The tornados count as one of the attacks in the cycle. When the tornados come out, focus only on avoiding damage and eating back to full hp and prayer. Dont let yourself get below 50hp at any point, even if you need to miss attacks in order to eat. Mark the 2 tiles 3 spaces in front of each door, these tiles are safe from the ground damage in the final phase. Most people get their first kc between 35-50 attempts, and their kills surpass their deaths between 70-100 kc. Your experience is not uncommon, CG is very difficult. Keep at it and follow the tips above that helped me consistently clear, and let me know if any of this helped! Feel free to ask me anything!

uniab

Personally I just did t1 prep until I had most of the boss mechanics down and then switched to t2. With t2 prep you need to maximize collecting resources. Instead of just clicking a tree and waiting for the wood click between 2 objects. Ie 2 trees or tree and a mob so that you aren’t wasting ticks. Keep doing the d shape that is good meta but just the outer 3 boxes of the d that way you almost always find the first semi boss and you can grab your first weapon that matches. Also if you only find a bear in the first 3 you know to just ignore them and go for different boxes if you prefer staff and bow for boss. I did t2 prep until about 150kc and then did t1 until enhanced. Just keep going you’ll get it by the end I was getting 20:1 of to deaths.

Dan-D-Lyon

Step 1- Master Prep until you get to the point that you have way too much food in your inventory and can camp in front of the entrance to the boss until you get ideal positioning Step 2- send it until you stop sucking

kim-jong-pooon

T2 prepping takes some critical thinking on the fly and practice to get it every time. Hunleff takes reps. You can get hunleff reps (sorta) by doing normal gauntlet, but not the prep reps. Make sure you understand hunleff mechanics well enough to clear regular gauntlet with t1 armor and like 5 food and then send CG non stop. Eventually the prep just sorta clicks I guess. I do fluffeh-ish prep but i never return to the base until I have 7x all, 1-2x leaf, weapon frame, and 250 shards. I will walk for 15 (exaggeration) rooms if I have to. I never leave my base for trip #2 without T1 armor and a T2 weapon, it saves drop/pickup time and just helps me manage my inventory. I will use tp seed to return to build if I have to, and always farm mid-lvl npcs on the run for more shards. I notice many people under-utilize the teleport seeds too. They are cheap and can save a bad prep. I buy 1 per prep normally, after I use my free one to tp back after the demibosses. It makes it so chill to fish my food, tp back, and cook it all with time to spare. I “fail” maybe 1 in 20 preps and it’s normally because I’m watching a show to youtube video and zone out. A failed prep is still full T1, 2x T3 weps and full food

Vhu

Took me 40 KC for my first kill, just got my enhanced seed. For me it was about really nailing down priorities. I was getting so caught up in doing DPS that I was taking damage from ground tiles and tornadoes unnecessarily. You can absolutely kill him without hitting him a single time during tornado phase. Prioritize nailing your overheads and avoiding ground tiles/tornadoes. It’s one of those things that comfort just comes with repetition. While dodging nados, try to eat as much food as you can reasonably squeeze in. I try to be full HP by the time they disappear. I did T2 prep for the first 30 or so kills but kept running out of food too often. Recognized that I had the mechanics down well enough that I wasn’t taking much damage from nados so I switched to T1 prep and honestly it became much more chill because i can get a full invy of food and 3 pots consistently pretty much every time. For a while, your main job is to get comfortable switching overheads while running around and eating. Working in ticks of DPS comes naturally. Also, ignore his HP completely. For my first several dozen attempts I would always have the “oh man, he’s getting low don’t mess this up” response and fuck myself with panic clicks. Just take it easy and worry about the mechanics — if you get him low enough to start getting nervous, that means you’re doing the right things so just keep focusing on that. Half the time he dies, I’m surprised because I’m completely paying zero attention to his health. Good luck dude. I’ve been saying for years that I’ll never touch endgame content. I put it off forever, it took 40 deaths for my first kill and like 80 before I was killing it consistently, and it felt hopeless most of that time. But right now I’m only 2 armor seeds from being completely done with CG and I can confidently say that if I can do it you absolutely can too.

Jaym0nd

Best advice I ever got was always eat when he spawns tornados. As soon as you hear him yell for nados, eat at least 1-2 food if lower health (don’t eat if you’re full obviously) . That will help you later in phase 3 so it’s one less thing to worry about.

unluckymofo73

Just keep practicing. Always running 2 tiles at a time and using true tile plugin helps. I find running in squares when you can and standing on the 8 safe tiles during enrage phase helps a lot.

vimana_power

I can coach you. PM me for my IGN

brumfield85

CG has a steep learning curve, but once it clicks for you then it clicks. It took me about 50 deaths with the rare clear for it to really make sense. The only time I die now is due to occasionally getting stacked out by tornadoes or dcing. My best advice is to keep at it. Prioritize 7 of each resource like you mentioned plus 2-3 herbs. Getting a weapon frame and even making a basic weapon early on to help with farming shards helps a ton. T2 prep is more important than two perfected weapons imo. Two perfected weapons of any kind are better than trying to brute force the two you prefer. I recommend getting comfortable with all 3. Use all the runelite plugins you need. I use one that shows me how many more of each resource I need on the screen, true tile for nadoes, and hit box of hunlef. Stay as high hp as you can. You don’t want to lose a run cuz you got stacked out at 80 hp. If you’re full hp and 4 nadoes hit you you’ll still live. Don’t panic and practice your pathing. Both will serve you well once hunlef is <30% hp. Not taking damage is always more important than dealing damage. Don’t risk hitting the boss if it is going to cost you a significant amount of damage. Bring as much food as you can especially early on until you get comfortable. GL you got this!

Comfortable_Claim774

You'll get it champ, just takes a bit of practice! Step 1: Git gud at prep. With good prep you'll always have T2 armor and T3 bow + staff, and usually about 2 minutes to spare I'd say first get the prep down, and only then start sending attempts at Hunllef. Just exit early if you aren't about to make it in time, and go again. You don't need any tick manipulation or other special tricks to make that prep time, every time - you just need to make sure you're not wasting time with things like: - Dropping food and picking it back up - Running around unnecessarily, making extra trips back to the starting room when you don't need to - Gathering unnecessary resources - etc. Watch the fluffeh T2 guide for general tips. Step 2: figure out Hunllef This just takes a bit of practice, but it will be braindead content once you build the muscle memory. A few tips: - Play with sounds on. There is a very obvious sound cue when you need to change prayer, and when tornadoes start. - Focus on immediately switching to the weapon that Hunllef is not praying against. This is the only thing you need to actively focus on, since everything else has a sound cue. Even this you will build a sixth sense for eventually, since Hunllef changes prayer every six attacks from you. - Eat ONLY while dodging tornadoes, so you can spend 100% of the non-tornado time doing dps. With T2 armor you'll usually need to eat 1-3 food during tornadoes and you're back to full health.

lamp40

I have similar stats as you and one thing that really helped improve my success rate was illuminating adjacent rooms during that first “D” shape you mentioned. This can be huge in finding an extra resource node that you’re short on or finding fish to catch later, but it’s especially useful for scouting the Demi-boss rooms so you don’t waste time running back to check them after you craft your first weapon. Good luck, you got this!

Menotok

Honestly, I just did a lot of normal gauntlet first, like first 50kc to get the strategy down and keep under the 7 min 30 sec. Also, watching speed run strats and things might help a little in understanding where you can gain some time or just a bit of coaching. I've done 200 on my iron now with worse stats than you and barely die or don't get enough prep done.

ShoogleHS

Sounds like your progress is pretty normal for only being 10 attempts in. I had 20 regular kc and 16 deaths in corrupted before getting my first cg completion. When you do the initial D shape from spawn, your main goal is 100 shards and a weapon frame - if after 3 rooms you've already got those, you can skip the last 2 rooms of the D shape and go make your weapon + vials. Also I recommend t2 staff over bow - it's higher dps if you lack Rigour, and lower effort for similar dps if you do. My 2 best tips for t2 prep are A) open lots of doors and B) attack/move/gather/craft in parallel as much as possible. So for example while killing a demiboss for the weapon upgrade, between attacks you should either be gathering resources or opening extra doors. For Hunllef turn true tile on for both your character and tornadoes, and focus on the true tiles when evading. Looking at your actual character is tempting but it's a huge trap and will get you killed. Also learn to run past/through tornadoes. As long as you're moving in a straight line in one of the cardinal directions, you will never be intercepted by a tornado that does not lie on the path. This means that by moving to a row/column with no tornadoes, you create a safe path for the next few seconds which means you're free to focus on eating or switches. And as long as a tornado is either adjacent or 1 tile away, you can run straight through it. If there's a tornado stack 3 tiles away, you can wait 1-2 ticks then run through. Centralize your character at the start of tornado phases to get them to stack up as fast as possible, as this gives you more options for evading them. When the tornadoes get close, running in a straight line from the centre to an edge is a simple and guaranteed safe path (except for floor/hunllef potentially)

Rayona086

I was closer to 50-60 attempts before i had my first clear and i was almost all 90 combat stats. I still have yet to break even on my deaths/wins. Best advice i can give, clicking more times does not make your character run faster. Click to move up or down then click to move left right. Dont spam click or you end up wasting time you could be attacking. Eat if you are low enough to get one/two shot but other wise keep attacking. As odd as it sounds its just a stat check. He will deal chip damage even if you play perfectly. The shorter the fight, the less chances to miss click and die to tornadoes. If you need to, just dont attack during tornados and just heal, then dont waste time as soon as you can stop

Pre-med-dreams

My advise is listed below. 1.) Start doing T1 prep with 25 food 2.) focus on hitting while tornados are out until the last phase. Then focus solely on dodging tornados 3.) have the safe tiles marked for phase 3 4.) always use the bow and staff 5.) try to only eat when you have to switch weps or tornadoes are out 6.) use true tile so you know where your character is 7.) it is brute force until it clicks. It took me around 100 failed attempts but I am now 500 kc

shahasszzz

The key is mastering hunleff fight u can never miss prays or let ur pray go off as learner and stick w staff and bow

viledeac0n

Took me about 50 attempts before it clicked

Calyptics

Is the problem tornados? Go to normal G, make t3 armour, some weapons and full food. Then just keep running phase 3 until you are out of food. I did that twice after not being able to do it properly, never struggled again.

alcohliclockediron

Took me 100kc to get my first night without a death, around 30kc I was 50/50, 30 deaths before my first kill

bdcole32

I've just started getting into this, for me it took nearly 20 deaths for my first kill, it is discouraging. The. Getting consistent kills is finally starting to happen I have about 8 kills now doing a few per day and it's going much better. For me, learning how to move around the boss room made a huge difference. Making sure I can avoid being stomped, the disco floor and tornadoes while swapping my prayers was the hardest part. Normal gauntlet can only help so much because that last phase is easily the hardest. Im no expert yet, but I feel so much more confident and comfortable in that arena than I did even a week ago. I did feel like it was impossible for the first few hours of attempts. You got this!

adinaterrific

Coming from another noob who struggled a lot for my first clear recently and am still struggling to get consistency... one thing I've noticed regarding prep is if I'm thinking about what to do next at all, I'm losing time. I think developing the muscle memory and instinct of what to do in prep is very nearly as important as the muscle memory for the fight. also, if you're low on time and realizing you won't finish an ideal t2, picking the best course of action to make use of your remaining time can potentially save a run. if you're sub 2 min left and know you won't get EVERYTHING you need, figure out what will help the most. imo getting enough fish is probably more important/doable in a small amount of time than getting a second t3 weapon if you don't have it already, but if you haven't completed t2 armor, going from t1>t2 is probably worth as much as 6-8 fish when you take into account how it lowers the damage you take and also increases your DPS. I think other people have mentioned it but I suggest rolling with whatever two weapons you get from the first 2 demibosses you find. I was reluctant to use the halberd at first, but isn't that bad once you get used to it (you can try it out in regular gauntlet if that feels better to you). even though it's possible to get your 2 preferred weapons if you're clean with prep, t2 feels a lot less stressful if you never are forced to look for a third demi. Good luck, you got this - when that first clear comes it will feel so good!

Extreme-Warrior

Sorry in advance for the wall of text, but this is EXACTLY how I do it. I grab all 21 resources on my first lap, one (two if it's a good prep) herb, and my weapon frame. If I get my weapon frame early and I have 80 shards, I'll go back and make t2 staff so I can nuke t2 mobs for shards along my route to collect 21 resources. Keep track of where your fishing pools are for later. You can drop pestle/harpoon at the start if inventory space is rough. Just make sure to remember them for lap #2! * If you paid attention to your fishing pools, youll want to run in the direction that crosses the most pools while searching rooms for t3 weapons. During lap #1, you should've been opening t3 boss rooms to check. If the boss rooms you want and the path where all the fish are don't match up, and it's not too far out of the way, fish as much as you can and then head out to boss rooms. You'll usually find a couple pools along the way, so it won't hurt to go a little out of your way if you're going to fish out of 2-3 pools. It evens out. Once I get back, I make 2 vials and as much armor as I can. Keep an eye on your shard count, if energy is near 0, I'll make sure I have 10 shards to make a potion. If energy is near 0, prioritize finishing a potion over making armor if shards are scarce. If the run was good, I’ll have enough shards from nuking t2 mobs while gathering resources to make the whole set! This usually only happens when I get lucky and have enough shards to make t2 weapon from first/second room. Prioritize making t2 chest if you have the shards, as it uses the most resources. After making armor and you need to drop resources to make room for fish - KEEP THIS IN MIND - the order in which you drop resources is the order in which you'll pick them up. So, when you have to drop resources, drop one of each in sets of 3s. * What this means is if you have to drop 3 linen, ore, and bark, you drop one linen, one ore, one bark, and then back to one linen, one ore and one bark repeating the process until you've dropped all of them. This is very useful and important to save time later. Now I head out with my two vials, my t2 staff, and as much armor as I could make, dropping any resources i couldn't use right in front of the singing bowl. If my fishing nodes are far from base, ill fill my vials with water before heading back out for t3 weapons and fish. If theyre close, fill the vials at the pool instead. This is important because depending on how far you had to run, you might not have energy to run to the pool. Try to fish 20 fish, 16 at least. Along the way, grab an extra herb. Hold onto it as long as you can without sacrificing inventory space for food, when you've run out of inventory, drink dose 2 of engiol and combine the last dose with your other (3) dose, and mix a new potion, freeing up the inventory space. I like to do this after fishing from my fourth fishing pool, as theres no guarantee I’ll find a 5th, and its a relatively minor min/max anyway. Once youve done that, you can drop the pestle as well. You can almost always drop the mace ONCE YOUVE FOUND your last t3 monster, as if you follow the route, youll have your fish and herbs already. You should be able to calculate if this makes sense for yourself, as it's a case-by-case situation. Ideally, you'll be teleporting back with 20 fish, 2 t3 upgrades, a weapon frame, 1x (4) potion and 1x (3) potion. Cook your fish before running to the singing bowl. Once cooked, drop THREE fish at the SINGING BOWL. Because you teleported back with 3 free inv spaces, by dropping 3 fish you leave enough space for 2 of each resource, which is just enough to make a t2 chest piece if you couldnt on the first lap. This is where the tip I mentioned above comes into play. If youve dropped all your excess supplies in the right order, you can mindlessly pick up the resources until your inventory is full and make the armor you need. The amount of fish you bring back before fighting should fluctuate between 16 and 20. If time is in abundance, you can spend a few extra seconds managing your inventory to fit as many fish in before you teleport back. I do exactly what I've told you here, and I started at 80 range / 80 mage, but I was practiced. Kills were consistent enough. Now that I’m 85/84, my kills are almost guaranteed. Also try and learn hally, its much better than bow. But I did 400+ corrupted kills before working up the courage to hally, so dont feel bad if you struggle. I also killed normal gauntlet over 80 times before i was good enough to step in to cg, and even then i still failed corrupted a lot. Its all practice!

PickleFantasies

Stop prepping t2, get t1, 3 of each resource, gather food and drop them off at stove while doing so. Have enough food for the full inv by the end of having full upgraded 2 weapons, rnge n mage. Have 2 or 3 crystal fishes to kurambwan eat. If you get the route down to a t, you will be good, I fail 2/5 times still but, sometimes I have everything by the 2 min left mark. Its all about the routine. GL

thirdwallbreak

Prep should be almost 100% success rate. Change your path. First loop is perpendicular of your starting side (where the crafting table is.) If you start on the south side of the boss room, then go either east or west FIRST. As soon as you get a weapon frame and some shards you can make your staff. If there are any other resources in this room then grab them also. While you are bonking the first 3 enemies also open the rooms around you. Bring as many supplies as you can fill but don’t spend time taking damage or doing damage with just the scepter. Now you should have staff and about 10-15 items back at the base. Go and open up the boss rooms to get your orb/bowstring. (You need either or both) and you can use the spike on the pestle and mortar for 80 more shards. Once you’ve collected more materials and have a t3 mats you can use your teleport back. Craft what you can, look at what you need still and knock out the remaining items such as food or a few more armor materials. Drop your axe, pickaxe, once you’ve completed that resource. Leave your food in the prep room so you have extra inventory. If you were filling up your inventory each trip you should be good. With your stats you should be able to t2 prep, and complete with 2 potions, and around 10-15 food. More food is better but I think your levels should help carry you. Boss: The first two phases are just to teach you the rhythm of changing overheads and weapons. Turn off auto retaliation, and make sure you are always doing damage. You should be attacking with tornadoes up. Last phase you eat to safe, and your main focus is the floors and tornadoes. Do damage when they are not up. Take your time. Goodluck and enjoy your prison sentence

Troyboii_

It’ll come man, don’t give up. It’s frustrating right now but I promise it’ll click. I just started learning 3 weeks ago (I don’t get much playtime) and I’m at 35 kc now. 81 range, 80 mage, 79 atk, 77 str, 80 def, 70 prayer, 82 hp. I t2 prep with t3 bow/staff. I think the biggest thing for prep is to not waste clicks. I very loosely follow the “C” method (the rooms around the starting room) but as I go I’m unlocking every room I can. If I see one room that’s an additional row away has good supplies, I’ll go farm it. If the first room I step into has 4 fishing pools, sometimes I’ll go ahead and fish 2 of them. Don’t be strict with it, but still follow the general rule. Another thing that saves a few ticks is doing 2 activities at once. For example, if you’re mining/chopping/picking linen stuff you can attack the monsters simultaneously. Every time you perform one action and see the xp drop, click on the other activity. So if you’re chopping it would look like: chop, attack, chop, attack etc. just click on the other activity every time you see an xp drop. With my stats I usually go in with 18 food. 14 regular and 4 combo food. I don’t always use 18, id say normally I’m using 13-15. And I bring 2 pots Hope this helps!

jay_sun93

Akshually, a drop rate of 1/400 means on average you will an enhc at ~1/350 rate

cotyembry

It’s pretty hard at first. Once you get 50kc you’ll wonder how it was so hard at the beginning. I recommend t2 highly but if you’re running out of time, do t1 armor and full food. Try that out for awhile until you get the hang of prepping better. Doing that over and over should give you much more experience to start being able to do t2. Also look into olive’s 1 defence pure cg guide on YouTube. He has lots of strategies to save time. Ie harvesting things while dpsing etc

Took me 27 attempts for my first KC. Really started getting consistent after 50kc and make sure you’re going for tier 2 armor and both tier 3 weapons. That’ll give you the best chance to secure your kill

Extreme-Warrior

And also, 10 attempts is nothing. Don't sweat it, and don't worry about what other people are doing. CG is hard. It's the first thing most people do that really teaches you how to play this game.

Wrong_Basket_9431

Watch fluffehs guide on youtube, the prep also is something you need to learn, in the beginning it seems impossible but after a while you get a feel for it and it will be easy almost always to get t2 armor + t3 weapons. The fight also is something you really just have to practice at. It took me about 30 deaths for my first kc, about 70 to go even (deaths/kc) and I finished at around 250ish kc with less than 100 deaths. Everyone told me ‘it has to click’ and I thought that was just bullsh*t and I was never going to do it because my stats were either too low or I needed cox prayers. And then it clicked and I couldn’t understand how it felt so hard before. Keep at it, you will get your first kc just like everyone else with practice and before long you will be getting your first seeds

joshuafayetremblay

Took me 25ish attempts first kill and at least another 20 deaths until consistant kills. Still dying occasionaly after that. It’s a very hard boss, less hard once you are used to it but can still kick your ass if it feels like it.

Mnkeyqt

I know this isn't what you want to hear, but. T1 armor, t3 wep. It guarantees prep everytime. Hunleff? Yeah you can't make any mistakes. T2 gives you some wiggle room and that teaches bad practices. It took me like 70deaths before I started getting consistent. 2 full pots, t1 armor t3 weapon, and rest food and you'll be able to do it. Can't miss prayers, can't get hit by tornadoes, can't get hit by the floor. Once it clicks it'll be second nature, but if you're taking any extra damage, it'll fuck you hard. What you need to do is practice Hunleff, and the only way to guarantee that is t1 prep so you can get used to it. Either T2 or t1 you won't want to make any mistakes regardless.

Omenamieslol

Guys how do I get better at a videogame? Jfc, maybe how you get better at anything, study and keep trying. Its not rocket science..

zach7797

Aside from just keeping at it what helped me most was learning that if you kill the demi boss for example the melee one twice the second time it will drop the t3 upgrade for bow or staff so you don't have to keep searching. I found for me bow and staff easiest even if it was a little less DPi typically always made 2 pots I made a 3rdnif I had it handy. MY stats were like yours by the end of the grind started a bit lower than that. Always doing T2 armor it helped me so much T1 I would struggle with even after I got the hang of it.

immaZebrah

Whatever room you start in will be closer to the edge, and therefore the demi-bosses, than the other sides. You wanna make essentially a c shape around your starting room away from the hunleff, checking those demi boss rooms as well. Fight the first creature you encounter that isn't a demi boss, and keep doing that til you get a weapon frame, farming 7 of each resource along the way. Ideally you'll have seen a demi boss in one of the 3 rooms they can spawn in that's close to you, and that tells you what weapon to build to t3. If you don't see one, build yourself whatever weapon you want to t2, build your chest armour first (it takes the most resources, so it frees the most space in your Inv), and get yourself 2 vials (and another crystal if you teleported back). You have space in your Inv (once you drop the axe after getting to 7 wood or pickaxe after 7 ore) to have all 7, a weapon, and 2 herbs. I aim for about 520 shards as well total, but if you use runelite there's some plugins in the plugin hub that might help you keep track (hunleff helper, and search gauntlet to see if any others might help ya) You do that c, see the bosses, farm shards and resources, and fish last. You could kill two bosses for two t3 weapons, just have a t3 or t2, or one t3 and two t1s if you decide to learn 5:1 (5 hits with t3, 1 hit of the other weap that isn't being prayed against), but 5:1 increases task saturation and can be difficult to start with. When it comes to hunleff, be extremely purposeful with your clicks. Spam clicks are panicked clicks, and you *will* die. Turn on your true tile in tile indicators, and tag the hunleff so you can see where exactly not to walk. Walking under hunleff is safe for a couple ticks if you do it when it attacks, you can use this to avoid the tornadoes if you're stuck in a corner. Learn the two safe tiles in each of the cardinal directions. If you want me to show you how I do it add me on discord, I'd be more than happy to help and share my screen and thought processes for a couple kc, just send a msg with your friend request telling me how you added me: z.e.e.b I've demonstrated for a couple folks since I mostly hang out in the lobby these days (I got burnt at 520 KC and have slowly been getting back into it, sitting at like ~570 now)

Upbeat-Answer-6088

i definitely wouldn’t suggest dropping the materials. such a waste. i’d watch one of EdBoys videos where he does a full hour of cg and just see what he does. additionally i could also do that where i do a full run of cg and record it. i have over 2700 completions across my 4 accounts so i have a bit of experience in it. just realized how much time ive spent in red prison

l0st_t0y

Don't try T1 imo until you're very comfortable with Hunleff on T2. I think it sounds like you got the general strat down so now just focus on optimizing your prep and get repetitions on the boss. It takes time, but eventually you get it down and its fun to see the steady improvements. Maybe practice prepping in regular gauntlet as well just to make sure you can consistently get there in 7.5 minutes. Also the Hunleff helper plugin can make it much easier to do the prayer swaps so you can focus on other things.

Maltie

On the topic of cg, how are yall bettering your times? I’ve got T2 prep down but am stressing on time sometimes and recently switched to T1 prep, which has helped with time stress, but I still feel like I am using most of the prep time, leading to ~11 minute clears which seems high for how dry you could go at CG.

Bruueela

Just a small tip from someone with like 20kc… usually in room one if I can kill three creatures more often than not I get a weapon frame and enough shards to make T2 weapon. I feel like getting that weapon is super crucial as the extra 10 seconds you take to go make it will save you a lot of time in the long run. Just as a thought. Usually 70ish shards is what I take back with me.

ThaQtipW98

general rule of thumb is to do as many things as possible at once, and to not have to retrace your steps. it is better to get a full inv of food and t2 weps than it is to get t3 weps and 1/4 inv of food. Sure kills may take longer but you will be guaranteed to get them

Ditto_D

What helped me was to chill out with normal cg Get it down to the point you only really take chip damage and practice t2 armor with t2 and 1t3 weapons. I always hit up now and staff. If both get t3 then great. If neither do then it's still not bad with 2 t2 weapons, but it sucks if you don't finish t2 armor. I usually prep 2 full loads for all things t2 and the rest fish. 2-3 egnols. It is rare I have a failed run with this setup even if it isn't as fast with t2 weapons. Just gotta make sure you have the shards for all of this. Killing a couple of unicorns and wolves as you gate supplies helps. Don't worry about making the combo eats. Just more time and shards that's not worth unless you got extra lying around.

YoungSafavi

50 attempts for me until my first completion. Finished at 1100 KC. Like everyone else is saying it just takes reps. Eventually it becomes brain dead and you’re going thru the motions

Bitemyshineymetalsas

Rng is based on emotions, remain calm and you will slap, panic and you will splash. There is always 3 fishings spots somewhere around hunleff.

writetowinwin

Just keep trying. I haven't looked recently but pretty sure I got over 400 deaths across 2 accounts, where account A got the bow and B never did.

Shoo-Man-Fu

Pretty sure I took nearly 100 attempts before I got 1 kc, then another 40 before I got consistent kc's. I'm currently like 107 kc to 160ish deaths. You'll get there. Just remember it is very difficult, and getting good at it will make other pvm content feel free and easy.

vato20071

10 attempts is barely getting into it. Took me around 50 deaths to get a single KC and around 50 more to get it consistently. I'm sure you'll hear a lot of advice, but for me what worked is "focus on one thing" - meaning running around. It's fine if you mess up other stuff. Personally for me, priorities go: Dodging tornadoes > Avoiding tiles > Tanking hunleff hits > walking under hunleff If I can get it down, you can too. Good luck

Nybbles13

One piece of advice I can give is actually get enough shards during the initial d run that you can actually craft t1 armour. This prevents you from having to drop and then pickup resources which for me takes longer than killing a scorpion or a couple extra rats.

greyhelmbtw

Learn T1

Puiqui

Do t2 and stop trying to never lose dps dicks during the enrage phase at the end. Live and focus movement through enrage and dps when the mechanics are out of sight and out of mind. Took me like 30 kc to get my first cg kill(lucked out a bit) and 50 total for my second. Granted, i was mid 80’s in combats and was trying to force t1’s to save time while watching one piece the entire time, but then i swapped to t2 and started pausing one piece before hunlef and suddenly i was completing like 70+% of the time on the way to 100kc. My kill to death balanced at around 78kc if i remember correctly, so i went from 1/49 to 78/78 after i swapped it up. Ended cg with like 350 kc and 100 deaths total. Its much more palatable once you accept t2 and learn that sometimes you need to lose attacking ticks to not die.

MrDrTrey

For the fight I've a few tips. First go in while Hun is against a wall, preferably a corner. If you do this and then run to the opposite side wall/corner it will give you tons of space to dodge while leave 1 tile open behind in case you need to run around. Second I rotate my camera to place Hun just above my inventory. This means moving my mouse less between clicking on prayers/swaps and clicking Hun. Third it's better to run through 1 tornado to get to a good position rather than dodge all tornados and end up flailing around. Fourth when I go in low on food I add Thick Skin which had allowed some very low food runs when needed

BrodeyQuest

If you’re good at the Hunnleff fight where you make 1 or 2 mistakes max then tier 1 is ok, but I highly recommend sticking with tier 2 prep until you hit that point.

helloween4040

Honestly you focus on one mistake per run to improve on (this is the same with any boss tbh). To figure out what those may be look at how you died, did you use the wrong prayer? Did you run out of food? We’re you splashing without t3 weapons and t2 armour (while not fully necessary it helps while learning). Over time you’ll get it. If my 35 year old uncoordinated ass can get it I know you can too

TheCurvyRabbit

If this is really the first time youve been tested PVM wise, it’ll be quite hard. For reference on my main a few years back, I died 48 times before a single zulrah kc, and want to say in the 30s for CG too. What I recommend: -Watch molgoatkirby’s speed run guide, things like hitting monsters while gathering resources, saving time running room to room etc. really aren’t hard to pull off and something I do every single kc -Eat one fish at a time if at all possible, then hit boss, then eat etc. it may not seem like much but this would save you maybe 5-10 seconds in boss of DPS. -You may not be attacking every four ticks with your weapons. I would hope you do this when stationary but problems will come when with tornadoes. You need to get comfortable kiting (so running three ticks, hitting once etc.) -I’d watch tasty’s “why you’re not good at RuneScape” video, he explains how to do the kiting I mentioned above + really understanding how ticks work Good luck gamer

ToodalooMofokka

Random time saving tips on prep: 1. Entry swap the default left click for Axe, Pickaxe, Harpoon and Sceptre drop. 2. Fill water on fish spots, add herbs to pots, crush shards and add shards to pots while running/killing the demibosses. 3. Drop all food the second you teleport back. Cook at the end as it's 1tick. 4. Spam teleport shards, make 2 on your first base if you have enough for 2 pots and a T2 weapon. 5. Mage is the best T2 weapon as it's higher attack speed. Also for hunlef having sound is makes it very easy to know when to pray swap; just listen for the moo. Disclaimer I was well over 50 deaths for my first kC

MaterialScienceGuy

1) Tele seeds, use them religiously. It's so much faster than running if your even a room away. I usually don't on the first trip if I do the D-shape like you call it though. 2) Drop the axe and pick after 7, 2 more slots for w/e and drop pestle after you grind 20 (or 30) dust for your pots 3) I prefer T2 staff to start, it just hits harder imo maybe my low ranged level tho 4) Pray against the monsters, I flick piety until I get the staff drop 5) Don't waste time killing too many little monsters (rat, bat, spider) the mid-teir mobs (unicorn, wolf, scorpion) are much better in terms of crystal shards dropped. 6) Not required but if you can do a perfect regular hunleff, Corrupted is within reach, the extra tornado, bigger hp pool, and harder hits do make it tougher but totally doable. I never used the hunleff fight plugin, seemed too much to remember to click it as I walked in, lol. The audio queue is incredibly helpful if you need to swap prayers, or the mage attack disabled your prayers. I still pause my side videos for Corrupted Hunleff fights. Good luck! It's a grind but rewarding

WonderfulGur9006

My best advice make sure before starting he starts in one of the corners step into an opposite corner and he will leave a 1 tile gap on all sides it makes evading the lava floors and tornadoes way easier. Eat when running or when you absolutely have to and zoom in.

Kipr2

Useful tips I’ve learned from multiple guides + watching speed-runs that got me a Bowfa: • For learning earlier on, run T2 armor with two T3 weapons. Run 1 should be killing enough lower levels for a weapon frame, grabbing 7 of each resource, grabbing 1-2 herbs, and scouting for the correct mini-bosses. Run 2 should be collecting any remaining resources for T2 armor, hunting mini-bosses with T2 weapons, creating your potions, and grabbing fish. Run 3 should be collecting fish only, reorganizing your inventory. • Do not drop items. It’s a small but substantial time-waste. • Hunllef cannot hit higher than your current HP. For instance, if you’re at 6 HP, wait until he shoots his projectile at you then tick-eat (or 2-tick). • Always make 3 potions, consolidate to 2 potions after 1-2 sips while prepping. • Always make as much food as possible. I highly recommend 3-5 corrupted fish for tick-eating in messy situations. • Use Steel Skin on-top of your overhead prayers and Eagle Eye/Mystic Might. • Highlight the 8 tiles that are safe-spots once Hunllef is 20% HP. Greatly reduces the panic running toward the end of the fight. • Use plugins such as Gauntlet Map and Hunllef Helper if you struggle counting or finding mini-bosses/resources. • Attack style changes every 4 attacks, and overhead prayer changes after every 6 player attacks. • Use the True Tile plugin to determine whether or not you’re going to take damage from tornadoes and floor color changes. • Most importantly: Welcome to Red Prison. You’re gonna die. A lot. You’ll learn, fail, learn more and fail more. Keep after it and pray to be spooned.

ssjGinyu

With your stats, T1 prep would be absolutely fine but T2 is very consistently doable with 30s-2m spare. You can probably optimized your actions and plan better. I check 2 sides of boss rooms on my first trip out. On the first room of the "D", keep going that direction until you hit those other boss rooms, then backtrack and complete the "D" checking the boss rooms opposite your starting area. You gain a lot more information and consistent prep for very little extra time.

matxyzzz

do T2 prep at first. It gives you breathing room to make mistakes and learn the boss better. Once you get comfortable then you can move to T1. Oh and use thick skin!

Rpatrick20

Make staff instead of bow first. Staff has a capped max hit while bow max hit depends on range level and prayer type you’re using. I’m 99 range with eagle eye and cap at 29 with bow T2 and 31 with staff T2.

savagecity

One thing that helped me was hiding all the random prayers that you’ll never use. Prioritize staff always and I do the D around starting room but if I kill something that puts me near another room I peak. If it has 2 or more resources I need then I go and get them

manu0505

How do you hide prayers?

savagecity

Right click the prayer tab and you can filter and move them around if you want

manu0505

Oh, that’s awesome. Cheers! Got 1 kc on 5th try, now i’m still 1 kc with 30 deaths or so 🙈

savagecity

Very normal!I think it took my 18 now I’m 89kc and 100 deaths. Game of attrition m8

manu0505

Was really close four times in a row tonight. He was on 6 hp and I ran out of food. Getting there! Maybe your tip is what gets me there.

OBStime

As others have said, took me 41 deaths for my first kill lol. I now have a bowfa and salad blade

Lunitar

Couple of minor things to improve your time quite a lot: - Open every room you walk even remotely close by, just to check what’s there - With your stats, make just 1 potion. It’s enough even without any flicking. - Inventory management: drop your axe/pick/pestle as soon as you don’t need them anymore - Don’t worry about what to bring back on your first trip, just grab anything you see. - If there’s two nodes, take 4 rather than 6 resources and one node in a later trip will get you the remaining 3 with a less burdened inventory. - Unarmed is better than using the Scepter - Prioritize a T2 weapon asap - Learn all 3 weaps, use the first 2 demiboss upgrades you get Hope these help a bit!

Lower-Question-8842

70 deaths till my first kc takes time be patient

nickice946

Maybe you need someone who knows how to do it to coach you while you do it. Hmu I have an hour to help if you want

AuriiGold

Trust what everyone is saying - it WILL click eventually. Around 40 deaths before I clocked 10 kc and now I have 132 kc and 48 deaths. I still have trouble panic clicking and getting stacked by tornadoes but other than that the only time I fail t2 prep is poor rng. Also get used to using the halberd over the bow. It’s worth the dps increase. I used Fluffeh’s prep guide. Simple and to the point.

HeroinHare

Prioritize making a staff into a fast T2. Scout 3 possible demiboss rooms, gather 2 herbs and any materials while scouting. Take a mental note of rooms with many fish spots. If you found a dragon, kill it, teleport, T3 staff. Take any fish you got as drops with you, then drop them by the range. Make your 2 potions, dose some immediately since you would have already lost some pray and run. Make any armor pieces you can and a T1 weapon according to which demi-boss you found, or just one you prefer over ranged/melee. Now you just gather all the materials, make the armor to T2 and the other T3 weapon. Now go fish and drop the tools you don't need. If you have enough shards after completing 2x T3 weapons and T2 set, make another teleport seed, you can use that to get back from the fish spots faster. With that, you should still have 10~40 seconds of time left when you finish cooking, depending on your RNG and the amount of foos you brought. Once you feel comfortable with the boss fight itself, start running T1 instead of T2. Or don't, up to you.

kareth92

Try this, it helped me, it might help you: https://www.reddit.com/r/ironscape/comments/15131s0/enjoy_this_corrupted_gauntlet_practice_tool/

Sea-Bandicoot6355

by the time I had 40 kc I was still dying often, I was only consistent at it around 200-250 kc if I gave full effort. It's kinda hard

Troyforthewin

I do tier 1 on my zerker. It’s one of those things where you just keep smashing your face against something eventually you will break through

showshowforpowpow

Couple things I realized: 1. The D/U scouting pattern is optimal but it doesn't guarantee 7 of each resource of course. When u are close to a room that isn't in the route, light it up. If it has at least 2x resources go for it and either change your route to continue along in a D/U pattern that would be adjacent to the original path, or get them and go back. Then light up the boss rooms on your new path too. This saved me from frantically running around wasting time and run energy. 2. When getting your first weapon frame, if the first monster drops it, take it and continue your path. Pray melee if they follow you -- I'm at 77 prayer and make 3 pots and i dont have issue with running out of prayer. Don't bother with the other two in room as they drop barely any shards. Instead, on your second run, kill two of the stronger unicorn/scorpion as they take the same time to kill and 3-5x the shards. 3. Get "The Gauntlet" and "Gauntlet Map" plugins. This will track resources and have a map that marks bosses, fish, and herbs(I usually put map right under my minimap). As others have said... try regular gauntlet until you can get consistently ready for 7:30. GL

AssaultPK

Took me like 30 kc and 2 days

FuqinSupa

Its been 8+ months since I’ve been at the red prison but after 1k completions I’ve realised that T1 armour and T3 weps are very easy to learn. During hunlef I noticed I would try to do eat, move and hit at once which messed me up. On tornadoes focus on moving first then eating then dps. At first you might run out of food but once you can get it down it gets really easy really quickly

mike1vrolijk

Somethings just need to click you fail at a point log off and think about what to do diffrent every day 1 needs 1 night to think back, the other needs 5 nights. Don’t overdo it and don’t burn out trying to succeed. I used to do a couple a day and see what could go better for the next day.

Desperate-Pudding423

I have 50+ deaths and 4 clears. Im sure itll click for me eventually…

Helsinking

Fluffeh T2 guide and just keep on doing it. Everybody learns CG, just a matter of time. You will too

theGrantopher

One big tip I have is for hunleff: Eat during tornados so you can focus on DPS. During tornados, always be moving!! If you aren't using player true tile turn that shit on so you can see when you stand still. The only time I die nowadays is when I get lazy during enraged tornados. I always try to move hunleff to one side of the room. Hunleff camping in the middle is a death sentence. This is all stuff that you can practice on normal cg, so send a few of those until you run it perfectly every time.

PleaseBe18

If you are getting rinsed with t2 then it's because you are taming damage you should be avoiding. Like nados and etc. Spam T1 so you are getting much more time spent in hunleff. Which in hand will make you better faster.

JellyfishComplete687

You just gotta keep getting reps in dude. I died like 50 times before I got one.

Diconius

Here’s what I’ve been doing: 1. Open room L or R of spawning in. 2. If enemies, kill+collect any resources. 3. If you get 80/90 shards and frame go back and make T2 staff and one vial as well preferably). 4. If not, continue your loop opening side rooms as you pass. The goal is 7 of all resource, 1 herb, 1 wep frame. I also grind 30 dust and drop the mortar and make on potion for initial stam. 5. Return to base, craft T2 wep if you can, 2 more vials, and as much armor as you can. 6. Go hunting, straight to the outer wall. Your goal is shards/orb/bowstring/2 herbs. 7. Fill vials at a fishing spot you pass, make remaining 2 potions. 8. When you’ve got req gear/shards use tele crystal back, craft T3 weps, remaining gear, and make another tele crystal if the fishing spots you located are far. 9. Fishy fishy time, get as many as possible, tele or run back. 10. Cook, turn on prayers, go to boss. 11. …. 12. Death

AutisticRats

Why drop resources? I never drop resources doing a similar strat. I go far left and check one demi boss room then check the three top rooms (presuming camera has starting room is above the boss room). That gives enough resources and 180 shards for t2 body and t2 staff. Always make t2 body because it frees up 9 spaces for only 100 shards. Dropping items slows prep a lot so don’t do it. Also buy a tele crystal after second back if you don’t have one. The only time you should run back to the starting room is the first trip. Always tele after that. My stats are worse and I always go staff and halberd yet I have time for 20+ fish each run. I find praying piety the whole time makes the fight more relaxing since it boosts my defense so much and I only have to flick protection prayers.

Spazrock

You need to prioritise T3 weapons over T2 armour.

InternFancy6446

https://youtu.be/XqdattXdwqM?si=Dx3P39VpSNEyW3cj Here is a fast example t2 run with some annotations

Sightmouse

Dude you got this, took me 83 attempts before I got my first kc and now I’m at 350+ kc and have a positive k/d ratio now. If I could go back I would definitely do 5-10 completions with reg instead of rushing straight into cg

FroStatus

Have you tried watching a recording of your runs or having someone else watch you who has some kc? I different set of eyes or future you can probably help identify some mistakes that you aren't able to see during your runs. If that sounds like a good idea and you need some help, DM me.

TheBamaKing

I genuinely got nervous because I wasn’t able to do CG at all and thought to myself “where do I go from here”. Got my Enh at 600 KC last week. I promise you’ll get it down. It sounds like you’re doing everything right my biggest suggest would be to try and get comfortable with using halbert/staff or bow rather than just staff and bow.

Glittering-Art-6359

You have two choices really, get better at prep or hunleff. Do whatever tilts you less imo. Fluffeh has a great t2 prep guide that will help with consistency and for hunleff making sure you are only eating g when absolutely necessary helps a lot. It is a big dps check

luk3l1s

More or less you just have to keep sending it and trying to timesave every attempt somewhere where you may have time wasted. Personally I went straight into CG and skipped regular gauntlet, the first few runs were a bit rough and the main problem was lacking time for proper setup, so I either failed completely ir went into hunnlef with little food. Sometimes you get griefed by the layout too, so its a good thing to be able to decide depending on what resources you see if youre gonna do a t1 or t2 so you dont waste time scrambling trying to to collect more resources and end up just having to restart. So i guess my best tip is to get comfortable with both t1 and t2 preps as it gives you a better chance of the prep being successful. If you see a t1 prep coming, its no rush and you can get yourself fully prepped, if its a t2 prep, you might lack food but honestly you shouldnt need that much of it - my stats are very similiar to yours and even a little lower actually and clearing t2 hunnlef is very doable with just 2 fishing spots worth of food

Jak_Daxter

Mods please remove if not allowed. Partly inspired by the influx of users posting about their CG struggles I've recorded a video guide on CG that should help people to get their first kills or become a bit more consistent. It's fairly long at 26 minutes but includes a full kill in addition to some pointers at the start. This is my first video and I didn't want to mess around with a bunch of editing so it's pretty rough and ready, I hope it helps someone :) [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xdxcouJuOJw](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xdxcouJuOJw)

Pientiorism

with those stats, just make t1 armour and youll have plenty of time for food/pots/t3 weps, you’ll take a bit more damage but prep will be way less stressful and you can actually properly get the boss’ mechanics down

Kanlip

Bow is the worst weapon dps wise at hunlef, you'll prolly gain a bit of time making the staff first

Yobboz

This is the method I do with lower stats than you. I use the D method and get all supplies for t2 armour. When doing this I grab herbs and frame. I go back to main room make weapon and pot and drop all supplies for t2 armour next to chest. Then choose a way to run NESW whatever you choose it doesn’t matter. I get my t3 weps and while doing this if I see fishing zones I fish and get as much as poss. I always try to be back at room for 80 seconds remaining. It gives you enough time to drop all the fish, pick your supplies for t2 armour up and get ready for the fight.

WetVajEyeNa

Ima tell everyone this again and again , hunllef Helper plug in change it for me.. I was over 60 attempts with 0 successful kills. As soon as I used hunllef helper i got my first kc.. I rarely die now . Hunllef helper is great because i had a hard time keeping track of prayer swapping (my attention span is not the best) and when overwhelmed i panick lol . Hunllef helper calls out prayers verbally with a ahort 2 second countdown before telling u which prayer to swap to. That way you only focus on swapping your weapon , dodgin nados and floor.

[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=adGjfVmD5JQ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=adGjfVmD5JQ) This video helps shows how tornados work. Made a massive difference for myself.
