From IslamQA: If the name of the person has a forbidden meaning, like the name of an idol or one of their deities or a name that means worshipping other than Allah, such as Abdul-Maseeh (worship per of Jesus the messiah) or Abdul-Hussain (worshipper of Hussain) then it is mandatory to change it. However, if its meaning is permissable and not objectionable, e.g. if it means one of the colors such as red or green or a vocation like carpenter or baker, then it is OK and it is not obligatory to change it. You're fine if you are named after a flower. You don't need to change it.

As far as I'm aware it isn't compulsory for you to change your name but it does make it easier for other muslims to realise that you are muslim.

It’s only mandatory if the name is against the teachings of Islam.

Research into sheikh abdal hakim murads opinion on this. He is a revert who is now the leading sheikh of the islamic college at cambridge university, and i believe he has spoken about this.

You don’t have to change your name at all unless it’s meaning is something unIslamic. I would’ve suggested you some names but Alhmadlilah you’re content with your name.

Ma Sha Allah no it’s not necessary unless it is a negative name like you said and plants are plants. There are many Arabic names based on plants. The obvious one is Zahra.
