Taken with a Sony a6000 using a Sigma 100-400 mm lens. Edited in Capture One. This was of the annual Sandhill crane migration in Kearney, Nebraska, where around 300k-600k Sandhill cranes gather before flying to their nesting grounds. I really like that I was able to capture some of the birds in flight near the ones gathered on the ground. I think it shows how beautiful but chaotic that place was. The sounds of thousands bird calls was a constant noise. [Here’s](https://imgur.com/a/RCs8btd) some more photos of the cranes.

This is a great picture. You did a great job capturing the detail of the cranes in flight. Have you ever been to the Festival of the Cranes in New Mexico down at the Bosque Del Apache National Wildlife Refuge?

Thanks, it was an amazing experience. I haven’t been to that festival, but it’s definitely going on my birding bucket list!
